I invested over $180,000 of my retirement savings into Blue Sky Mint, operating through the website blueskymint.com. The platform looked highly professional, with sleek dashboards and a very polished, modern interface. Their representatives were incredibly persuasive, promising me "above-average returns" and "automated strategies" that seemed like a secure way to grow my nest egg. I was convinced I was making a smart, modern investment. Instead, I handed my life savings to what authorities have identified as a fraudulent scheme.
The representatives were relentless. They used a classic bait-and-switch tactic, showing me fake profits on my dashboard to build trust and encourage further deposits. They used every high-pressure sales technique in the book, constantly pushing me to invest more. However, the moment I tried to withdraw a portion of my funds, everything changed. My requests were met with endless stalling, demands for additional "fees," and then complete silence.
After I lost access to my money, I started digging and discovered the horrifying truth. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) had officially flagged the website as an unlicensed financial services operation that poses a risk to investors. I also found that the domain was only registered in August 2025, less than a year ago, which is a massive red flag for any financial service. To make matters worse, the owner's identity is hidden behind a privacy service in Iceland, making it nearly impossible to know who is actually running the scam. Independent security scans gave the site a trust score of 1 out of 100. It is a complete fraud.
Losing over $180,000 has been devastating. My wife and I had planned to use that money for travel and to help our grandchildren. Now we are struggling just to pay our monthly bills. I have had to cancel our vacation plans and put off necessary home repairs. I cannot bring myself to tell my children the full extent of our loss. A 70-year-old engineer, fooled by a professional-looking website and a slick sales pitch. The shame is unbearable.
I reported Blue Sky Mint to the IC3, the FBI, and the DFPI. They gave me case numbers and expressed sympathy, but they are overwhelmed with similar complaints. My file is just one among thousands. A former colleague mentioned AY'RLp after hearing about my ordeal. I contacted them with little hope. Their forensic team traced my payments through the company's shell structure and managed to salvage about $62,000 through legal pressure and freezing orders. It covered some of our immediate bills and gave us a small buffer. The rest of my invested funds are still being salvaged through ongoing investigations, and I pray every night that more will be recovered. That partial salvage gave us a narrow lifeline, but the betrayal remains. Blue Sky Mint preyed on retirees like me. Stay far, far away.
