Bloomex is totally useless.
These flowers are disgusting and a total rip-off for the price paid. Will never use or suggest bloomex for flowers ever again. They are a scam... The flowers don't look anything like the picture advertised..

Their website photos do not match their actual product at all.
DO NOT USE THIS CRAP COMPANY
I received flowers for my birthday from a friend. They arrived the day before, not on the day but better early than late I guess.
There were 3 x red roses, 1 x alstroemeria and 1 x piece of greenery. They came with 2 x small chocolate bars. Total cost $86.18.
Absolute joke as the flowers weren't anywhere near fresh and were dying the next day. I could go to the supermarket and buy an enormous bunch of flowers for that price and they would last more than 1 day.
This company is without a doubt the worst floral company I've ever come come across, stay well away from them
Appalled by the lack of sympathy!
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Bloomex. I spent $140 on what was advertised as a deluxe bouquet, but when my sister received it for her birthday, it looked like a regular-sized arrangement and did not match the image on the website at all. For the price I paid, the flowers looked cheap and underwhelming — honestly, I could have bought a much better bouquet from a supermarket in New Zealand, or where I currently live, for half the cost.
What made the experience even worse was how my complaint was handled. Instead of refunding the amount I paid for a product that was clearly not as advertised, Bloomex offered me $25 in store credit. That’s not a real resolution. The flowers were meant to be a birthday gift, so offering store credit after the fact is useless — I can’t send another gift a day later, and there weren’t any suitable replacement flowers or gifts available for that amount anyway.
To top it off, Bloomex charges $15 shipping, which means the so-called compensation was effectively only $10 in usable credit. After spending $140, receiving a bouquet that looked nothing like what I paid for, and then being offered such a poor solution, I feel completely let down. I would not recommend Bloomex based on both the quality of the product and the way customer complaints are handled.
Do not purchase from here
Do not purchase from here. The flowers delivered were not even close what was advertised. Their customer service is awful with automated emails and no one to call.
The box they came in was more impressive than the flowers.
Would only offer replacing or a $20 store credit as ‘goodwill’. Neither of which were appropriate
The flowers don't resemble what's advertised
I would not use this company again. The flowers didn't resemble the advertised image, with a lot of foliage not seen in the online images and damaged blooms. An absolute rip off!
If I could give negative I would
If I could give negative I would, flowers arrived a day late, half the flowers were dead/brown when they were supposed to be pink gerbera, won’t answer the phone, they keep hanging up on me, computer generated emails are return emails. Taking no responsiblity for their appalling substandard product. Worst flowers ever
I specifically ordered flowers because…
I specifically ordered flowers because **same-day delivery was advertised**, as they were for my friend's birthday. After taking my order and payment, I was then contacted and told they couldn't deliver until the following day.
A birthday only happens on the day, not the day after. By then, the purpose of the gift was lost, so I had no choice but to cancel the order.
While Bloomex offered store credit, a future delivery, and other alternatives, none of those solved the actual problem. If same-day delivery cannot be honoured, customers should not be able to purchase it in the first place.
Very disappointing experience. Reliability is just as important as the flowers themselves when you're sending a gift for a special occasion.
Don’t go there 😡
I guess I had to put 1 star up to get started but they don’t deserve it . I ordered flowers teddy bears two in fact as my family friend’s daughter had twins. I tried to order on the website and then I called the oh800 number sales lady said she would give me a better deal with 20% off. That didn’t happen I put the order through we checked on it twice if not three times the delivery was three flowers one large teddy bear one small vase only got one teddy bear the price was charged to my credit card a lot higher than agreed on. The order was completely wrong to what I wanted off the website. So part of it yes was delivered but when I asked if another teddy bear could be sent up there they said it can’t be done they won’t post one teddy bear because apparently I only ordered one. After a lot of two and throwing two email addresses three different email addresses I finally got a copy of my invoice which had the charge of two teddy bears and then finally the investigation team acknowledge this mistake all I got offered as compensation was a $20 credit to their website and $11.95 for the teddy bear which it was actually $20 on the website I refuse their $20 credit to the website because honestly I don’t trust the website and what can you get for $20 anyway I would have to re-purchase something else to have it delivered so that was an insult on its own. I also got another Customer’s invoice sent to me by mistake saying that was mine different name you name it they matched that up as well. Three or four days later I get an email from Bloomex corporate offering me a deal . Omg blocking them now putting this behind me . How dare a business like this exists in NZ . Warning don’t go there .
Better flowers for better price in the supermarkets.
The bunch of flowers is so small and the top of one was damaged/old. I could have got a decent bunch from the supermarket for half the price. I paid for same day delivery but they called me and advised that they could not be delivered until the following day and I was offered "some chocolates" to be put with the flowers. We got one small Whittakers chocolate bar. Will not be using this company again.
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. flowers bashed and half dead, NOT same day delivery as advertised. IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
Arrived late, with literally 2 types of flowers and a bunch of greenery. All wilted the next day, after spending the weekend with nz post with no water.
The roses were already brown and spotty. Almost impossible to talk to a human over email, constantly getting the same auto reply.
Will be takin this further once I am through the horrible returns/complaints process.
Order not delivered
I ordered flowers to be delivered to my wife's place of employment for our anniversary. I stipulated that it be delivered by 4pm. When she left work at 5 she still hadn't received anything. When I called I was informed that they tried to deliver at 5:30 but no one was there, so they left it outside the gate. Now I can't get a refund because the claim that it was delivered. Never again.
Flowers not delivered on the date…
Flowers not delivered on the date stated. Could not understand anyone from their customer service team.
Bloomex masquerades as Mel's Flowers - poor service
I bought flowers on Friday night for a next day (Satruday) delivery through Mel's Flowers. The website gave the distinct impression that it was a local Nelson florist.
I had a call early Saturday from a call centre to ask if a Tuesday delivery would be acceptable as they were busy. I made it very clear that this was not acceptable and that I needed an immediate refund. I then got an automated email refusing the refund and offering a store credit or a redirection. Neither were acceptable.I then tried calling and got an Australian Call Centre at Bloomex. They also refused the refund.
I have started a disputed transaction process with Visa.
The dispute basis is they represented on their website that they could deliver fresh flowers from a local florist the next day. They could not do so and are refusing a refund.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND Mel's Flowers or Bloomex for this reason.
Update
Update: my inlaws bought me flowers for my birthday that did not arrive end of May. I made my complaint to Allan who thought he had put me on hold and said "I think she's an African woman" twice. Very irrelavant comment that riled me up and was advised that he was not talking to me and hung up. Flowers were redirected for the 1st of June by Allan who was talking to my partner at this stage. Message came through saying Monday is not a delivery date in my area, so it will arrive on the 2nd of June. Nothing. I sent an email advising of non delivery and asking for an explanation to that irrelavant comment. An email came through advising that there was no one by my name at the address that was there. There is someone on-site 24/7 plus there was no call.
3rd of June, I called and asked for a refund. I hazard that I was not tolerating b.s that the lady I was speaking to Kylie, who went away for a couple of minutes, came back and advised that I will be getting a refund and an email/text will be sent through to me on the 4th. No email or text came.
I have been emailing this complaint since and I cc'd A current Affair, ACCC, all their customer care emails including the one in Canada as that is where their headquarters is. Next stop is Fair trading Queensland.
They sent an email to my inlaws on the 19th saying flowers were lost in transit, offering a credit or new delivery. Who would want to deal with this company again? Not me! I am wondering if this was their response to the case because that email seemed like an auto response. We want a refund and and explanation. Save your money or better yet, send the money to your loved ones and instruct them to go to their local florist because BLOOMEX is playing in your face. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Still scamming people I see!
Still scamming people I see!
I have spent 5 weeks and dozens of emails which just go around in circles and generic reply’s.
You won’t get your money back and they refuse to supply me with an address.
Someone on here suggested reporting them to the NZ commerce commission, the more people that do so hopefully will see an end to this theft

Now conviently - no one is replying!
This company are atrocious
This company are atrocious, please do not use. They sent my sister a woeful looking bouquet of flowers and when I contacted them it took 3 weeks to even get a decent response. They don't engage in on line chat. You can't get hold of them by phone. You just have to wait for them to answer their e mails. Their policy is they don't give refunds so I agreed to a replacement bouquet which never arrived! In the end I went through my card company who gave me a full refund. I will never use Bloomex again.
