I recently had an outstanding experience with Blinkist’s customer support. I accidentally let my Premium subscription renew during a time when I’m facing some personal financial challenges. I reached out explaining the situation, and Talida was incredibly empathetic and helpful. She processed a full refund without any penalties and even provided a discount code for when I’m back on my feet. It’s rare to find a company that values people over profit. I’ll definitely be returning to Blinkist in the future!

Blinkist is a great app for learning in short bursts. It summarizes key ideas from popular non-fiction books into quick reads or listens that you can finish in about 15 minutes. The summaries are clear and well structured, making it perfect for busy people who want to keep learning without committing to full books. It is also useful for discovering new titles and deciding which books are worth reading in full.

I wanted to cancel my renewal
I wanted to cancel my renewal, but I missed the deadline. Marianne was great. She offered to refund my payment, along with two other options to continue for a year. I chose one of those, and she already sent the refund. She also coded my account so it won't automatically renew next year.

Blinkist customer service vs Apple incompetence
I came across an ad for Blinkist, there was no free trial offered, I was interested, so I signed up and it didn't take long to find out that I will simply not have the time to take advantage of this program. I cancelled my subscription the same day through Apple and requested a refund but they told me that my purchase was not eligible for refund. I contacted Blinkist directly and was told that they couldn’t refund purchases made through Apple, I should contact them directly. That’s easier said than done, I had no chance getting through to anyone there. I wrote back to Blinkist if they had any further suggestions and the agent, Widy was so kind, helpful and sympathetic to my issue that I decided to keep my subscription for the year and make a point of getting a good use out of it.
After the complete incompetence of Apple customer service and in the increasing world of AI it doesn’t happen very often that I meet with customer service and care of this level. Widy is a true asset to her company and even more so to its customers. I truly appreciated her care, understanding and kind words.
