Great blinds and great customer…

Great blinds and great customer service! These are seriously great blinds. Easy to measure, easy to install and they look fantastic! We ordered the Klamath roller shades 60% blackout and 100% blackout for 17 windows. We had one issue with 3 of our windows which were 18 1/2 inches wide, the BlindsMagic team worked with us and provided 19 inch width outside mount blinds to solve the problem. Great communication & follow-up.

Stay away from this scam company

Absolute garbage company. They send faulty products from China, and then refuse to honor their own satisfaction guaranteed policies - leaving you with piles of useless blinds and out of money. Stay far away from this scam.

nice product supposed to be alexa enabled, but it was not?

quality product.

i intended to order the alexaa enabled unit. apparently something went wrong.

i will probably not order the other blinds that i need because of this confusion.

Fast shipping and great product

Fast shipping and great product! I received the blinds I ordered on the 8th day after i purchase them! They are very hogh quality and very easy to install. I will be ordering these blinds for my other rooms soon.

Very POOR customer service

We have tried to contact this company multiple times and they are not responding to our calls; chats or emails. We simply need to update our delivery address on an order and they don't even have the decency to respond. I am highly disappointed with this company's customer service.

Good quality - read this for instruction hints

This rating is based on the shades themselves – appearance, etc, - a 4+ and also the installation and setup process – a 2-. I will say that the online support has tried to be helpful but, in some cases, just repeats what’s in the instructions. The phone support requires that you leave a message. I did get a call back in about an hour and that person was helpful.

Here are the issues I ran into and the solutions:

First, a hint about the instructions:
1. When you see something like “press x 6s” it really means hold it for 6 seconds. It does not mean press it 6 times.
2. When you see “Press ^&♥“ it means press those two buttons at the same time for however many seconds it says.
3. A little box that says “jog x 2” means the shade will move twice to confirm that you have entered that mode.

The blinds did not go all the way to the bottom or all the way up.
• Even though the length is supposed to be set at the factory, mine was not correct. Use the “Adjusting Upper & Lower Limits” section of the instructions.
The shade did not come down straight. When fully closed that gap at the bottom left was smaller than the gap at the top left. And the gap at the bottom right was larger than the gap at the top right.
• To be honest, I’m not sure of it was the shade or the window was a little out of square. It doesn’t take much to have this happen on a tall window (mine is 75”). I added a couple of washers on the left mounting bracket between the bracket and the top of the window frame (where it is screwed it. This make it so there was no visible difference.

I cannot find any instructions on mounting the solar charger.
• It is actually pretty intuitive but I wanted to make sure. Contact support and ask for the picture.
The ordering instructions should be clearer on what the impact is when you select which side the controls are on.
• The gap to the edge of the window frame is almost 3/8” larger on the side with the control and the other side. This would only apply to inside mounts. I can affect how light comes in from the edge of the shade.

Also on ordering, if you think you measure some that exactly matches a defined size, for example 33 ¼”, I’d suggest thinking about going up 1/8”. I can be a VERY tight fit.

Connecting to Alexa
• In step 1 the button is closest to the window. You will have a hard time pushing that with your finger. I used a pen (retracted) to hold it. The note “Blue LED Flicker” should really be “Blue LED Flashes”. It will flash for the entire time it is in pairing mode.
• I got mine to pair but then the voice commands did not work and the remote stopped working. Called their number “855-558-0311” on their website but just got an automated voice that said “leave a message”. It did not even announce the company.
• After doing a FULL reset, I did manage to get it to work again. I had some issues that I believe we due to multiple Echo DOTs nearby. At that time, it was intermittent. I powered off the extra DOT and that seemed to help. I think it works but occasionally it still doesn’t respond. Luckily, I have a Bond Hub that I use for a whole house fan. That works well using the app and with Alexa for opening and closing (Alexa does not seem to understand stop with the Bond).

I have ordered two more shades. I did order them with the Alexa interface although, with the Bond it wasn’t absolutely necessary.

Excellent Customer Service and Great Quality

I had a lot of concerns before purchasing, but the customer service answered all my questions and was very helpful. The blinds were easy to install and the smart design saved us a lot of time and effort. My favorite thing is that they can be opened and closed at specific times.

Terrible communication

I ordered a 90 inch blind. When I installed it it would only open to 85 inches. After one day the remote stopped pairing with the blinds. I emailed the company with my problems. There was clearly a language issue with the person I was communicating with which made it difficult to deal with the details of my problems. I would send an email in the morning and the next day would receive one back. The first few emails were just images of the installation sheet that is included with the blind. After many days of this I just said I want my money back. This has now turned into a real hassle and the communication is spotty at best. I feel like I just gave them $400.00 for no reason. I have boxed up the blind and have been waiting for a shipping label...their email this morning was one sentence, "We will send a shipping label at a later time". So, now I have no way to return it. I am in limbo. Save yourself the trouble and spend a few extra dollars and go with a company that stands behind their product and responds in normal time.

Wonderful Service

The BlindsMagic company representative, Ada has been wonderful to work with. He spent a lot of time with patience working with me to resolve an issue of linking the blind control with Alexa. He sent numerous email guiding me to successfully resolve the issue. Ada is knowledgeable, professional, polite and helpful and is representing this company very well. I will buy products from this company again.
