Good product for the stat tracking for social links but when they start putting ads on free tier seems obsolete with all the options around
This is a SCAM. They put you on an annual auto-renewal, but never advise you when renewal is due and you get billed for another year automatically - with no redress. AVOID THIS QR SERVICE
interesting why peoples are using bitly.com instead of blitz-ly.com ?? bruhhh
Suddenly the links won't work anymore!!!
Will destroy your whole system when you posted them already. No info upfront! A complete nightmare!
I recently had the utmost pleasure of contracting Shade Solutions to erect a shade sail more than 8 meters in length at my home.
The people I dealt with were the most professional I have ever met in my 70 odd years, from Haley on the front desk to Matthew the salesman to the installers - Chris and Steve.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone who requires a shade sail.
Very, very happy with everyone involved and wish them all the very best for the future. They are a 6 star company.
We have been with Bitly for some 8 years; it's been okay until now - but we have just experienced a scandalous event.
We are using their spoti.fi shortener and have been doing that for many years.
Suddenly the URL does not work. We filed that problem with support, and two times they came back and told us it was now repaired.
Third time, they admitted they are not able to control the URL any longer, and what is even worse, the older URLs already created and in "use", are useless as well.
We have over many years pasted these URLs for our products on all kinds of social media platforms, sales sites, Youtube, etc.—a total breakdown for our system.
No info in advance, no info on homepages or in support - even their own staff didn't know about it.
Not even an offer of (for example) creating a redirect. What a scandalous behavior.
Awful they randomly block your links and make you look like you are a scammer
when you bring it to their attention they blame you
Awful go somewhere else
Excellent job by ethan would be happy to recommend window geeks
Scam. Congratulations! I am 40 years old, and this is the first scam I have fallen for in my life.
After you print your QR code on your promo materials, they block it and ask you to pay if you want to continue using it. So your choice is to either pull all promo materials back or pay them so you can unblock it.
I will find all ways I can to leave them a bad review and probably legally sue them for scam.
Now a bait and switch scam company. I used the free service for many years to meet by basic needs, then they added ad delays to my old links forcing me to upgrade to their $120+ annual subscription because one of my links was being used in an advertising campaign. Old links should have been grandfathered in.
I'll be canceling when the year is over. In the mean time I'm switching to a new provider.
worst customers service (non-existant). a few weeks ago I get an email from them saying there services will cost an extra USD 10 per month, for NO REASON!!! just a blatant price hike. dont sign up... you'll get stuck with them, having a hard time migrating to a better, cheaper, friendlier solution. they dont care!
Links that were working before suddenly stopped working. Some of these links were used in funding or sponsorship applications. This could really have messed things up if I hadn't spotted it when I did
I cancelled my renewal on the same day it renewed as I didn't realize I was still subscribed. I just happened to check my bank account because, unlike ethical companies, Bitly only notifies you of upcoming rrenewals with an email that says "Happy bitly-versery." It just looks like just like more ads. Even with that, I tried for a refund on the same day it renewed. They absolutely do not refund and use a (questionable) outside service to prevent chargebacks. Do not use Bitly - surely there are ethical and more cost effective providers out there.
They used to be great and it was all for free. Then they decided to charge money (understandable). But they charge 30 usd a month for tools any other competitor gives you for 8-10 usd. Then they added a 10 usd plan (a joke) which includes almost nothing. If you use the free version, they will sneak in their adds in your qr's and links, making it super annoying. I'm moving to another app
Wallace Oil came to repair or replace our propane tank and Jared did a fantastic job . He was so nice and did his job with careful and kept me updated on what he was doing. I was very impressed with him.
Bitly changed the term of their paid subscription without notice. I lost 1 year of tracking data. Stay away.
I've used bitly for a while, casually creating links and QR codes for various needs. Recently, they changed their model, to offer paid subscription tiers. Ok, fine - people gotta make $, I get it.
Without being a paid member, visitors to your links / QR codes will see a crappy-looking, confusing website before being redirected to your actual site. It's totally a turn-off to visitors and makes you seem questionable, and your links seem spammy. This was not the agreement I made with them initially and they gave customers very little advance notice of these changes. I believe they should only be putting these terrible "ad" pages on any NEW links / QR codes - but, they are adding them to ALL shortened links / QR codes made with the service, at any time. Feels very "bait & switchy" to me.
In addition, their least expensive plan (advertised as $10/month) is ONLY available if you pay for the WHOLE YEAR at once. There is no monthly plan for less than $29/month (plus applicable sales tax and will renew automatically). $10/month is ridiculous for this "service", especially when they also have the ability to collect you and your visitors' data on the back end and use that however they wish (which I'm guessing they've been doing all along).
Many non-profits, community organizations, and small web designers have been using bitly occasionally over the years and it's terrible that bitly seems to now want to extort $120+ UPFRONT, per YEAR from these users, based on PREVIOUS use of their service.
If you are considering bitly for the first time, I'd recommend avoiding this company with questionable business practices and terrible treatment of their customers. If you have been using bitly and are now deciding next steps, take my review into consideration. I may have to begrudgingly pay (which I'm guessing they're banking on), but I will also gladly join any class-action lawsuit that addresses these issues.
If I could give 0 stars i would. Horrible company to deal and is predatory.
I was assisted by Jacob Yarker from Zuto. He helped me find a lender for my Car finance.
Their Service works very swiftly and the fact that everything are online and virtual, makes life so much easier.
verification was also very quick and they explore through multiple landers so if one does not work out the can switch it to other instantly.
The whole process was over the phone and online, and it took me only 24 hours to get everything sorted from the start of the application to arranging my car's delivery.
Overall satisfied with their service and would recommend it to others.
Many Thanks
Mirza
