Poor shipping

It's been 10 days since I ordered and had one message saying it would be delivered on April 10th. Now it says "routing to next facility" and "late". Kind of ridiculous when it's going from NJ to VA.

Birdfy Metal Feeder is top notch!

I love being able to see the birds, and having them identified. Although some of them are incorrect. I bought the metal squirrel proof feeder and like it so well that I purchased another one. It wil get put up over the weekend.

I have really enjoyed my new bird…

I have really enjoyed my new bird feeder. It’s amazing to see and hear the birds close up. I especially like having the birds identified. The only problem I have is that the squirrels have taken it over. I need some suggestions as to what I can do about that.

A+ Shopping Experience

A squirrel (or two) had chewed through the plastic seed guard on my feeder and I was thrilled to see I could get a metal version. I felt it was priced very fairly (and I’m frugal!), they didn’t charge for shipping (the way to my heart), and it arrived so quickly! Great experience all the way around!

C+ for a couple reasons.

We bought our birdhouse about 15 months ago. At the time, and one of the major selling points for us, was the advertised "night vision" camera inside the birdhouse. Well...it wasn't night vision; it was a white light that I wouldn't want to turn on after dark for fear of repelling the birds, so that was disappointing. Since then, Birdfy has corrected their marketing and are now calling it a "white light." However, they are now selling our model birdhouse with an advertised true "infrared night vision" camera.

I contacted 24/7 chat to see if I could purchase the upgraded camera separately and was told I could not--I would have to purchase a new birdhouse at full price! Seriously!? Birdfy's incorrect marketing baited us into buying, but rather than return it, we kept it because we immediately had birds interested in nesting. Now, I need to buy a whole new house just to get a simple camera package to upgrade my existing house. Secondarily, the paint on this existing house started to peel after just a few short months of owning it, even though I sealed it per the instructions.

Neat birdhouse, but not worth the price I paid for peeling paint, initial false advertising, and a refusal to support their existing customers.

Seed guard Shopping

We’ve had our Birdfy camera feeder for over a year now, and we get so much enjoyment out of it! The only issue we’ve had has been with a few squirrels who are extremely glutinous, to the point where they wait in the trees for my husband to fill the feeder, then descend upon the feeder and gorge themselves as soon as he goes inside. We’ve talked about getting the seed guard for a while, but we didn’t want to spend $30 on it. We finally decided we’ve had enough squirrel greed (we have other feeders that we don’t mind them using, by the way) and started shopping for the seed guard. I was quite surprised to see that it was significantly less expensive than I had seen it before by purchasing it on the Birdfy site! With free shipping, it was a no-brainer! I’m excited about getting it soon and enjoying watching the birds eat without all the feeding competition.

I love my old camera and the app

Excellent Customer Service

With the initial purchase of the birdfeeder I inadvertently purchase one without the solar panel. I immediately contact the company explained my situation and they directed me on how to rectify the situation and how to get a refund for my initial order. I got the refund within 2 days after correction. The Helpline was responsive, quick, and effective.

I have purchased two of these for my…

I have purchased two of these for my mother- one for various birds and one for hummingbirds. I purchased the first a couple years ago, and she loved it so much that I bought one for her hummingbirds this month. I was surprised how much she enjoyed them, sending me little video clips every other day of her latest visitors. She is in her 70s and relatively tech savvy for one her age, but she let me know the app was very user friendly, and she loves identifying the birds. What a great product and wonderful gift idea! In addition, customer services has been great. We haven't had issues, but I reached out to tell them how much we liked the first one and they sent me a coupon code for another purchase.

Educational and fun to watch.

The camera and feeder have been educational: a lot of fun. The only downside to the feeder is the difficulty cleaning inside the hopper.
The AI bird recognition is another matter. It only recognizes one bird at a time, and not even the one in the video the longerst. AI makes no distinction between male and female, even when easily distinguished. Location is also not considered.
