ABSOLUTE ZERO

ABSOLUTE ZERO! 100% RIP OFF!

GO TO FindAGrave dotcom INSTEAD!

BillionGraves has absolutely NOTHING. They are a scam - a grave location site with NOTHING ON IT - so the deal is that YOU get to PAY THEM and then YOU get to go out and photograph graves FOR THEM and post on their site - so that THEY MAKE MONEY BY DOING NOTHING. I really wish I'd read something like this before wasting money. Also they are completely JERKS - AYoung is an ignoramus and is frantic that s/he will have no scam/job if the company can't keep ripping off consumers. GO TO FindAGrave dotcom INSTEAD!

I never subscribed to this fraudulent “organization”, yet I have been receiving multiple daily messages harassing me constantly over the course of years. I have replied multiple times begging them to stop. They continue to harass me. I have been forwarding each message to
my attorney as I am poised to sue them. If you are being harassed, I suggest you seek legal advice.

Can’t even use the site

Can’t even use the site. It just buffers and loads in circles. From what I see in the reviews it seems this site steals the info and images from other websites then hides it behind pay wall. Then it keeps charging you even though you cancelled. Lucky I read all the reviews first. Avoid.

Avoid this site like the plague

Avoid this site like the plague. As with other reviewers they are nothing short of scammers. Signed up and paid for a month. Cancelled my subscription after a week or so as I got all the details I needed and thought nothing more of it. Several months later I noticed a charge for £7.99 on my bank statement. Contacted them and heard nothing for 2 weeks. When they eventually replied (the infamous A. Young) they tried telling me that I hadn’t cancelled despite me sending them screen shots clearly showing that I had). Contacted my bank who have reversed the payment and blocked the company from charging my card anymore.

I hope my testimony helps others avoid…

I hope my testimony helps others avoid falling for this scam. This is a fraudulent company that charged me for an entire year without justification. Their website is terrible to navigate, and they don't deliver what they promise. And to top it off, they don't refund your money within the legal withdrawal period.

I lost 60 euros, and it's not worth hiring a lawyer to deal with this. But I hope people come here and read this comment before signing up with them.

It's sad to know that companies like this exist, and people like Mr. AYoung, who responded to my email, know I'm entitled to a refund but choose to remain silent.

Is this theft? I don’t know how it’s classified, but one thing is certain: it’s definitely not honest.

If I could leave zero stars I would

If I could leave zero stars I would! Unscrupulous company advertised a monthly subscription yet took a yearly subscription via PayPal and won’t refund! There aren’t any photos of my searched graves! It’s a scam in my view so save your money
Emails not answered and money not refunded!

I don't seem to be able to login/register or pay to see a picture of a grave that I know is there. Keep going round in circles.

Volunteered Data Behind Paywall! WTF!

I like to use FIND-A-GRAVE much better but the thing I really don't like about Billion Graves is that they take volunteer data and have now hidden part of that (the headstone photos) behind a paywall. That is just immoral. I still use it when I need to but don't otherwise.

They do allow some volunteers to access them but not ones who do lots of cleanup editing, adding inscriptions and other improvements apparently not important to them.

A bunch of robbing %$?:£<|. Avoid them like the plague

In April Billiongraves.com had a tempting offer for one month's subscription here in the UK. I took them up on the offer but they immediately charged me for a full year. I challenged them and, after much toing and froing they paid me back 11 months. All seemed good.
However, I have now looked carefully at my bank account and found that they have been debiting me $5.99 for every month since April. I didn't sign up to this. Please be very careful before giving your details to these money-grabbing fruadsters.

I have been linking BillionGraves…

I have been linking BillionGraves records to genealogy sites (especially to FamilySearch records) for over 7 years. I have even added a memorial to the site for a family member. I used to be able to view the gravesites that I had linked and got good info as a result. Sometime in the past few months, BillionGraves has changed the way they operate and you cannot see anything but a crappy, blurred image of the graves/headstones. Supposedly, if you want a crisp image, you have to add tons of memorials or pay them a subscription fee. Based on other reviews on Trustpilot, that doesn't even seem to work consistently. Find a Grave is a much better site: no charges, great images and links to other family members. I should probably quit linking BillionGraves memorials to FamilySearch but they are a genealogy source (albeit a crappy one right now) and I like to have as complete a record as possible.

RIP OFFS

Billion Graves has operates for years on the generosity of volunteers and they have made a huge business of them. BUT NOW unless you 'volunteer' you CAN NOT see the grave headstone. They purposefully blur any image so it is unreadable and either you have to 'volunteer' or PAY MONEY to see the unblurred headstone. THEY ARE A RIP OFF.
There are still free sites that are better out there

Aside from the useless website

Aside from the useless website, they are crooks. The site is purposely designed to get card numbers that they can charge repeatedly (even after expiration) while making it almost impossible to find the cancel window. I doubt the terms are legal but it's not worth the effort to test them.

Be very careful when taking out a so called membership as they will keep taking money from you even if your card has expired. The so called priority customer service is no existent as they do not respond to you when you contact them. I have learned my lesson but it has cost me another years so called membership and having to get a new credit card to stop these, I want to say thieves, people taking money from my credit card. Be aware it's your choice ...
