Solo mature traveller

I made my reservation online through viator and made my way to the big bus office at the ferry terminal at kowloon and was met by Manny who was brilliant and guided me through getting tickets for the ferry and tramline extra I saw him several times on my journey and he always smiled and asked how I was doing
I was a solo traveller in my mature years and all the staff was helpful respectful and could not have done more for me

By far the worst bus experience I have…

By far the worst bus experience I have ever had. I had booked a direct bus, but the bus broke down apparently before my pick up and so I was changed busses. Which can happen of course! But to arrive 4 hours later at my destination is insane.. I was waiting since 08.30 for my bus. And eventually got picked up at 11.00. Then had to change buses, and was told it would depart at 14.00. But ended up being after 15.00. And arrived at my destination at 21.30 instead of 17.00.. communication about this sucks. Things can happen, of course.

It does also a really long stop very close to the end of the journey to enforce you to buy some overpriced food. You have to pay for the toilets at the rest stops which they set up! It’s all just very frustrating. I wasted an entire day of my holidays traveling because of incompetent planning.

Not the best way to visit Hong Kong for…

Not the best way to visit Hong Kong for sure! They sold us 3 tickets for three adults for the peak tram, but they didn’t mention that they were valid til 6.00 pm. Totally waste of money! Never again! Save you money for something better

Invaluable Tour

We were so happy to experience Hong Kong through the Big Bus tour. We used the Deluxe ticket, and it was worth every penny. The staff was helpful and accomodating. It's a long way to Aberdeen, but it was easy to get around on the bus. Our walking tour guide, Stella, was energetic and full of information. There are Big Bus information stations everywhere so help was always available.

Really poor

Really poor- I bought tickets for 2 days but We could not do the entire red tour or any of the blue tour because of protests.

The trip included ICc sky view and star ferry tickets but we could not use any of them.

Really not happy that we could not be given another day to do the blue route.

Do not use hop on hop off

Do not use this service , they knowingly charged my wife and I £100 on 4th September 2019 to go from star ferry to high peak .... the same trip using public transport was £21 .... we were shocked and disappointed .... we even had to pay to get back because their hop on off bus stopped running !!!

Sales personnel can exercise a little…

Sales personnel can exercise a little more patience when explaining how different packages work to guests, not everything is common sense to everyone. Maybe they can take a page from the excellent service given by staff in Dubai. I brought this to the attention of one of them and the excuse I got was its because of the protest happening in the area, so staff is impatient, really!?!?

However not everyone is rude, Monica, who did my walking tour was excellent and very professional, patient and answered all my stupid questions, 😂👏, asi also work in a service industry I learned a lot from her about how to treat guests with respect.

Overall good but with some frustrations

The staff were helpful and the routes covered a lot of different areas of Hong Kong. It was disappointing though that we weren't informed that there would be road closures on one of the days of our 2 day ticket and that part of the Sky100 viewing platform would be closed.
It was also frustrating booking tickets online. My son is 4 which meant he didn't need a bus ticket but needed tickets for attractions. We couldn't by him attraction tickets online because you have to buy an adult ticket with it, even though our tickets were included in the bus package

Expensive and buses very inconsistent!

Buses were very inconsistent, we waited 50 minutes for a bus that was meant to be every 30 minutes. Not all bus stops were sign posted and the paper map didn't highlight the address for the bus stop which made finding the stops confusing (the app didn't work properly or provide live bus tracking). We only completed one route due to the bus inconsistencies, the ticket was very expensive for the provided services and compared to other big bus tours in other country's.

Great way to see Hong Kong in 2 days

Great way to see Hong Kong in 2 days! Friendly and helpful staff.

Would have liked more stops and to be able to stay on the bus long as we wanted (i.e. we had to get off and wait for 1/2 hour in heavy rain at Avenue of Stars, Kowloon).- the only downside.
