Aside from the fact that they do not work to give a more even tan the sizing is terribly small.

I used the size guide and they were about 2 sizes smaller than advertised on the chart.

They’re also really itchy and uncomfortable

I ordered at the start of May, stating it would be delivered in about 2 weeks. It is now the middle of August and I have received nothing. You can't get a hold of anyone just a bot. They ignore my emails. I got scammed out of $100..

Shame on me for purchasing this. I used the measly 15% discount, when top arrived I didn’t like the way it fit. I can’t get my money back, only store credit due to the discount. Should not have bought in the first place. Buyer beware!

The swim suit is HUGE. I’m a zero/xs and there is no way the xs size would ever fit me. Size chart is wrong, and the ratings on their website are fake. Horrible customer service as well, tried to return and they will only offer store credit, don’t buy with a discount if you’re looking to just try it. Definitely don’t buy if you are petite!!!

Hey, so I bought a better tan bikini. I read the reviews, (on the site and tiktok I should’ve known better) and I saw that they were promoting what a tan would look like with a tan through bikini, which was basically nonexistent with no harsh tan lines. I can’t even write a review on their page. I was outside today, the UV was 9 it was 92° outside, suns out, winds blowing. I did 20 minutes on my front and 20 minutes on my back. I went back inside to go take a shower, and I had horrible tan lines from the bikini that was supposed to not give me harsh tan lines. I tried taking photos which you can’t kind of see them, but they’re worse than what the photos show you, it’s two different colors. It’s brown and a light olive. I’m so disappointed. It’s not like they’ll give me a refund on it. But I spent so much money. Over $100 after shipping, taxes, everything. For me to not tan through the bikini like they guys have promoted and shown through pictures of what a tan is supposed to look like after you wear the bikini. On top of that, I followed the size chart which I have talked to somebody about before. I followed the size chart and based off what they said, I would wear in their bikinis a large which is what I got. That was too tight on me and when I got it and obviously also can’t return it. I’m so utterly disappointed, I spent so much money on a bikini so I wouldn’t get harsh tan lines because I have a ball that I have to go to in a few months and i’m also possibly getting proposed to during that time. I did not want to wear a ball dress and have horrible tan lines on me, so I spent over $100 for bikini that was supposed to fix that problem, for it to work just like my regular bikini that I might’ve spent $15 on and give me those harsh tan lines.

Sizing chart is wrong, product does not tan as advertised leaving drastic tan lines, and see-through so can't even wear it in public. Complete waste of money. Return policy is trash as you still end up spending more money.

I initiated a refund with Better Tan Swim back in February 2025 and even returned the unwanted and unworn products as instructed, from Australia and out of my own pocket. It’s now May 2025 and I’ve had no response from them on issuing a refund. An absolute clown of a business run by gypsy scammers.

The Belize tan through swim suit was way too short in the torso...my breasts hung out! When I tried to return it I realized that I would have to send it back to somewhere in Eastern Europe which would cost me more than $20....However, I decided to return it anyway, but despite several emails, I never heard back from the company on how to return it. BEWARE OF BUYING ANYTHING FROM ABROAD!

I’d give minus 100 stars if I could. I deeply regret buying from them.
I ordered a bikini top and bottom - both in size XL. When the package arrived, they had sent a top in size 2XL, so I immediately emailed them and asked for an exchange and attached a photo of the wrong size they had sent me. Over the next week I had to follow up twice before getting an answer telling me that returns are expensive, but they’d give me 50% off my next purchase. I just wanted them to exchange the item that they had sent me in error.
Getting a reply from them is like pulling teeth. So far I am 4 weeks into this dispute, waiting providing a solution. I have reported them to both BBB and the FTC for fraud.
Last email was a few days ago, where they sent me their return address and told me they’d be happy to issue a refund (the item I ordered is now out of stock) if I return the item at my own shipping cost expense. What the actual F??? They sent me the wrong item. How can I ever be the one who has to pay for their mistake?

They are see-through! They photoshop very well model pictures in their page but it's literally see-through! On top sizes are not accurate! They run small!

Absolutely terrible customer service! Sizing is so far off it’s ridiculous. They will not exchange or return.

Terrible experience. Sizing is all off and when you try to exchange they won't let you.

I ordered a swimsuit from them in June… it is now December and haven’t received anything. I have dozens of emails asking for my money back and they won’t do anything about it. They STOLE over $100 from me this is ridiculous and the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life.

I have been waiting 3 weeks for a shipping label and finally someone emailed me back and said " We're more than happy to assist you with the return, however, the cost of the return is expensive so we'd like to offer you a 50% refund of the price for the item you wish to return or a 50% store credit and you can use the items and you have as a gift to someone special during a special occasion or holiday season. This will save you from the hassle of returning the items received.
If this option does not work for you, we can move forward with the return process and provide you with the return instructions. Please let us know what works best for you, and we'll make it happen"

Bought a bikini online on 04/10/2024.
Currently it is the 30/10/2024.
I still do not have my package.

I have been in contact, via email, to a Katrina, who has reassured me (🙄) that it is definitely on the way, it had been delivered to the wrong address !but is definitely going to get to me now…

I have asked for a refund three times.

I have just advised I will take legal action if not refunded immediately.

BETTERTAN IS NOT WORTH IT.

I am an idiot. I did not do my due diligence before placing an order. They kept my suit and they kept my money. There are a couple of cases opened at the BBB to which they never responded and apparently, they have been known to sell your information to the dark web, there's comments on their social channels warning people. They don't respond to emails either. I'm not sure how this company is staying afloat, oh wait, from jerks like me.
The company is owned by Ardoura LLC. You do not need to have an account to report a merchant, although shopify doesn't make it obvious, I ended up creating a chat and that's where this information came from.
The warehouse where they ship from is based out of Oregon, however, they are operating from overseas. It says the CEO's of this company are Antonio Antonov Genov and Anna Borisova Filcheva (if those are their real names).
If you have been scammed by this company (this is the first time I've ever experienced anything like this), report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.
It's a sham I mean a shame.

SCAMMERS! They say that they have an easy return process, but they do NOT! I bought something on July 20th. I didn't receive the item until Aug 17th (almost a MONTH later). I went back and forth with them, trying to get an address to return the items for over 10 days, finally got an address on to send it to on Aug 25th which was to some place in BULGARIA. When to USPS on Aug 27th (paid OUT OF POCKET to return the items) and when I was there they couldn't really find the address but I got a tracking. It is now Sept 24th and it is still in "International Transit". I'm guessing it will never get there because they gave me a sham address because this is a scam company. Don't get anything from them. I luckily paid for everything through AMEX so they are dealing with the case so this company is screwed anyways... but don't waste your money.

If I could give this less than one star, I would. Their carrier Fed ex did not follow delivery instruction and because of that, someone stole it. When I contacted customer service they said to take it up with Fed ex! I spent $190 and no suit. If it was $30 then whatever but the any other good reputable company would send a replacement and take it up with Fed ex themselves since they chose them to deliver to their paying customers. Beware if this company. They have bad reviews other places too.

The tan-through suit is a strange material that does not have any give to it along the seams. Therefore the sizing/fit is quite odd. I didn't realize they are based overseas, and I’m still trying to return my order from 3 months ago. They said they would print a return label for 20$ and refund the rest, but the label they recently sent me had errors on it so now it’s back to the drawing board with customer service. I’d be surprised if I’ll ever see my $100 again. Super frustrating experience, shop elsewhere.
