What a fantastic company, very understanding and great communications from them , would highly recommend them for anyone wanting to get help and write off debt,
New start new beginning,

The company helped me out, explained everything and were really good at answering questions or worries. Really helpful staff.
IVA was for 5 years and at times I thought it wouldn’t end but worth it in the end and taught me a valuable lesson.

So I'm amending review due to latest experiences.

UPDATE: my dealings with BJ have improved lately. I actually couldn't stand them last year, due to a couple of people I seemed to always have to deal with. I rated them 2 stars, as two people at BJ caused me so much stress. I've upped one star, as the people have been much nicer lately (no names on email anymore...).

If you are in my situation where you work full-time (I'm a professional worker on Ok wages), but I still get Universal credit (I'm a single parent but rent is expensive, and life is expensive so I get supplemented).

If you get wages and UC, it's not as clear cut. As any increase in wages will result in less UC, which will result in a headache! Probably more an IVA flaw, than BJ. But something to be aware of.

I recommend seeing if you can get a fixed IVA. Or deal with one person so things get sorted really quickly, as will save you months of back and forth, and adding additional stress.

Really quick to sign you up for an Iva however customer service afterwards is abysmal. Rang them 4 weeks ago with an enquiry was told to email it to them it took them 3 weeks to respond to the email asking me for more information which was sent within 5 minutes. It’s now been a week and I am still waiting a further response

I have been with them 2 years and they do not reply within there 7-10 grace period for emails. Yes they’ve helped me but email me about my income and expenditure and I had to reply within 14 days. I replied within two with a new pay amount and no reply, emailed again… ignored me. I’ve asked for a lot of help and had no reply or of o do it is too late.

Bennett Jones’s is amazing if you have bad that’s all needs to go into liquidation or bust this company can help they are amazing. They listen to you they help you and they get you out of their situation on the 13th of June 2025 was my last payment and I feel more happier and weight has been taken off my shoulder. Thank you to everybody at Bennett Jones for listening to me and understanding me. You want all assets for the company. Thank you.

This company were fantastic, very friendly and only a phone call away to help. Was the best thing for me personally was the best company I could have gone with.

Started well, then I had pay increase and then I had cancer and still, they are very unsympathetic and very big boilies all they want is to make money and did not care about my situation or my condition. They have increased my monthly pay by more than 250%. I no longer have a place to live and when I mentioned it again their answer was you must pay your monthly amount and threatened me, because of the huge monthly increase which I cannot afford I will not be able to get one. I will avoid them at all costs, they are very friendly to start with because they want your money, but God help you after. Go with the charity companies who are much more helpful and genuine. I made the biggest mistake going through them if anything they have made my life worse. The reviews are not to go by as they are very deceiving and they should not be allowed to post untruth ones. The bottom line if you do good luck!

Whilst they are great at sorting out an IVA the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. A 5-7 day turnaround on emails is unacceptable and when you call nobody is free to talk to resolve your queries

Bennett Jones has made the whole process very straightforward and easy and I am now currently starting an IVA to help with my debt problems. I feel like I can rest easier now knowing I am going to be able to afford to live normally while paying off my debts and this is all thanks to the help and work provided by this company and I can now begin getting myself into a better start of my life and they had provided help along the way.

This company is brilliant. They helped me to control my debts. When I got seriously ill they helped to conclude my IVA. They're always professional and compassionate. I can't rate them highly enough.

Started my IVA journey back in 2020 after being up to my eyeballs in debt and struggling with the huge monthly repayments. Took me a while to make the leap and commit to an IVA but with Bennet Jones the process was very straight forward and everything made crystal clear.

Can’t thank Bennett Jones enough without them I would still be in a huge pile of debt. Even when I was on the IVA there were times I was struggling and they understood me instead of disregarding my financial situation they gave me options like taking a break from the payment for a few months or even reducing the payment then when I was back on my feet again going back to the original payment plan. They always checked up to see how I was doing financially and all thanks to them I am now finished with all the debt.

I cannot thank Bennett Jones enough. I have a lot of debt and couldn’t see a way out. It was beginning to impact on my mental health and I felt that ignoring it was the way forward. I finished the process today and it was approved and I honestly feel so much relief that I cried down the phone because I am so thankful.
