I used the Beneplace system to reserve a hotel room for my daughter because Beneplace was listed in the ERS emails.
Beneplace required payment in advance, did not ensure a vacant room at the hotel, and has yet to issue a refund. The hotel didn't have any vacancies even though Beneplace took funds for a reservation there. I asked around at my employer another HCC employee had a similar experience with Beneplace and hotel reservations not being honored.
If their refund policy is such that they will take funds and not provide a service in exchange for those funds, no one should be using Beneplace.
When I arrived to check-in around 4pm that day, the hotel representative behind the desk told me they had no vacancies and that the reservation could not be honored because there was no room available. I called the Beneplace customer service immediately - while in the hotel office - because I wanted the hotel staff to be able to communicate with Beneplace if needed. Beneplace should have recorded or documented the conversation. I stayed at the hotel until the Beneplace customer service representative told me that they could not transfer the money to a hotel that had a vacancy. I had to search the internet for another room nearby while on hold with Beneplace.
In their email after the call, they state the 'terms and conditions' are their reason not to refund the money. How is it possible for the terms and conditions for the reservations to allow Beneplace or the hotel to be able to keep money without providing a service? I could understand if I was the one not wanting the room - but they are the ones who told me they had no room for me and they had no vacancies whatsoever and that Beneplace had an issue with the reservation system allowing reservations when there were no vacancies. This is completely unacceptable.

The Busch Garden Williamsburg tickets state that they come with a bonus $10 "Includes Free $10 In Park Voucher" and it does not list an expiration date anywhere for this $10. The tickets very clearly state they expire 1 year from the purchase date. This lead me to believe the $10 free park vouchers that we planned to use for food in the park would also expire in 1 year from the date of purchase so I feel like I was cheated $30 from the three tickets as now that I have the email the "Includes Free $10 In Park Voucher" expire in less than 2 weeks - Nov 15 2025. If they were going to expire in less than 6 months that should be clearly stated on the page -- you are misleading customers thinking they are buying one thing but getting another! Buying the tickets went smoothly and the email came in less than 1 hour so I'm thankful for that process went well so I quickly learned I had been cheated and ripped off.

**UPDATE #2 ** So now that you say the 3rd party has updated things so they do not expire for a while what are you going to do for the people that ordered their tickets or passes already and the $10 clearly lists the Nov 2025 date that it expires? Also, when will each of the $10 to Busch Gardens that can be used on food or merchandise expire as your reply provides little concrete, helpful information and still does not seem to honor what the website stated at the time the item was ordered. I just have asked you honor what I had screenshots of that I was sold that was not the same thing you emailed / provided.
So how will you get me $10 x 3 ($30 since I bought three tickets) to Busch Gardens that are honored the same length of time as the tickets? You have my order number so can look me up.

I made the wrong reservation date, requested to move my reservation date out by 1 day. Beneplace could not move my reservation out by 1 day. I didn't want to cancel just move my reservation out by 1 day. Beneplace could not accommodate and they are still charging me. I had to make a new reservation for the next day. I'm being charged double! I'm surprised that IBM recommends this service offering to there employee's

Booked a hotel and when i went to check on the status of hotel on the hotels website, it said my reservation was cancelled. The hotel explained to me that the virtual credit card used by beneplace was wrong so no payment went to the hotel. I called Beneplace help line about 15 times and each time they said "someone was working it and i should get an email". I received no emails besides automated emails. The call center would not transfer me to someone who could actually help. The call center seems like a fake call center as they do not even help, they just wait long enough for you to give up. It is now 2 days until my hotel stay and they are still 'working diligently' on this. This is beyond the worst customer service I ever dealt with. I will never use this scam of a company again.

I went through their website and placed my order for lowest deck tickets. My order confirmation had moved my seats to the top deck in the corner. When i tried to ask for an explanation, the first rep was useless, the second one said I'd get a result in 72 hours. The response was late and claimed i got what i ordered. Word of caution, TAKE A SCREENSHOT AND WATCH THEM CAREFULLY SO YOU DONT GET SCREWED TOO. I paid a premium price for horrible seats. Their response is consistently that this is what I paid for - BULLSH!T
