Benenden act quickly. You are told what documents you need to supply and a decision is made in days. Very reasonable premiums. Great customer service.

Sloppy & unprofessional

My wife attended the hospital in Kent for a varicose vein problem on 7 July .The booking was very easy to do & the person on the phone helpful , unfortunately that's were the good experience ended
We arrived 20 minutes before the appointment as stated in the letter thinking that a duplex scan would be done or some other procedure/ documentation , but no such thing. When we were called in to see the consultant which was another 15 - 20 late from the appointment time , which we suppose is quite acceptable had it not been for the 20 minutes early we had already arrived there.
The consultation was not what we were expecting which was just a ultrasound scan on a small tablet ( not a duplex scan as most vein clinics use )and a description of the problem on a piece of paper.
Not very professional and not very reassuring.
At the end of the consultation we told to go to the outpatient desk and they would sort out dates.
We went to the desk where they just took the consent form from the file & and mumbled something about going to the self pay desk.
Went to the self pay desk no one there , a sign saying go to main reception.
Main reception said you will have to phone in the morning, oh he hasn't put your patient number on the consent form which you will need when you call. The receptionist looked it up on the system and wrote it on the form , have you got the self pay phone number ? NO
After the experience we had we won't be contacting them to pursue this any further as the treatment from most concerned was at best terrible & not very reassuring as it all seemed very sloppy & not very professional.
Didn't even look at the medical history they kept pestering me to fill in .
Perhaps we were just unlucky?
but we have been members for about 40yrs & will be reviewing whether its worth continuing with our membership.
We will just have the put the £ 258 consultation fee down to experience.

Beneden review

I have been a member of Beneden Health for a few years and thankfully didn't need to use the service until recently. I found the service to be speedy from start to finish, with help from Beneden at every stage, until treatment and surgery completed. I would absolutely recommend Beneden Health.

Great support in times of need at an…

Great support in times of need at an affordable cost. I have used diagnostics services multiple times for myself and my daughter and each time it’s been really effective in reducing wait times and getting the information needed to refer back into the NHS for treatment.
