No help for possible endometriosis

Benenden staff are generally very friendly and the service is relatively easy to use once you know how. My disappointment stems from the fact this is supposed to be a diagnostics service I am paying for and also one which supports lengthy waiting lists via the NHS. In using their services I still ended up with no diagnosis & am now back into the nhs pathway with a waiting list of over 8 years. Despite Benenden covering consultations, I had to self pay for some & spent a lot of time painfully acting as a go-between via my consultant (who is excellent) and Benenden. Benenden showed no empathy or flexibility about me possibly having endometriosis and covered the consultant opening me up but unable to treat. Rightly, the consultant said this was unethical to me and I have to agree. Endometriosis should be covered in full by Benenden.

As a not-for-profit, affordable healthcare provider, we simply cannot cover everything and remain sustainable for our members. This does mean that we can provide quick primary care and diagnosis access, but can't afford to pay for all surgical treatments and keep our monthly cost as low as less than £16 per member, per month.

Excellent service.

My issue was listened to and discussed politely before an appointment was made for me to see a consultant.
After that initial assessment I was refered on for a procedure which was done shortly afterwards with excellent care.
Benenden gave excellent service throughout.

We're sorry to hear our 24/7 GP couldn't provide the right kind of support for your condition, but as an online (video or phone call) service, there are limitations to what they can do and sometimes the better route is a face-to-face appointment with your local GP. A great experience with the doctor and easy to book a GP through the app. I didn't think I would be listened to or believed by my own doctor but when speaking to Benenden GP, I felt confident to speak to my own GP

I was given a telephone appointment…

I was given a telephone appointment right away was diagnosed and received the prescription next day at my local Boots chemist would recommend to family and friends

Benenden out of hours doctor appointments.

Doctor gave me antibiotics prescription which was easily obtained via email. Feel it was a life saver. My local GP won't give me a standby emergency pack even though I have a copd test coming up and have antibiotics/steroids every time I get a chest infection. At age 70 Benenden is a life saver.

Excellent service from Benenden…

Excellent service from Benenden Hospital. I needed a GP telephone consultation. Booked the call via the App and I was called within time. Spoke with GP and was sent an online prescription. Couldn't have been easier.

Positive experience

My experience with Benenden was without fault from start to finish. Benenden is affordable and gives me peace of mind considering the current waiting times with our NHS. The care I received at the Nuffield hospital in Newcastle was exceptional and ALL the staff were efficient, friendly and caring! Special mention to surgeon Mr. Hamza who was wonderful. Also his secretary, Penny, who was very helpful and answered all my questions. All in all a very positive experience.
