Liars with Lies
On October 7, 2022 after 5 months of trying to get a wheel balancer combo machine which arrived defective we obliged everything customer service/warranty rep requested; including working on the machine for which we have no expertise in. We were promised compensation which has yet to arrive, no one returns our calls or emails. We just consistently get ignored. No one ever has a solution but they transfer you to a VM or an extention that tells you to press buttons for this and that and still no one answers. This is the promise which has not been fulfilled-
We want to make sure we get you taken care of and keep our end of the deal by cutting you a check for self-diagnosing and attempting to repair the equipment for the amount of $188.00.

Junk lifts. Parts are expensive. In 5 years I've replaced 3 pumps. 1 ram. 2 hydraulic lines, both turn plates. Biggest pos I've ever owned. Can't even get trade in value on it because no one wants them. Buy a rotary lift!

Poor Customer Service
Submitted a request for pricing to buy a lift one week ago. No response from Benpak. Now I read all these bad reviews. I think I will buy from Forward Lifts instead.

During installation of my lift I noticed that one of sheaves (pulleys) was corroded to the point that there was a hole right through to the bearing. I called Babco who sold me the lift and they started right away with well that's not covered by warranty (this is a brand new lift being installed by their installers). After some calls BendPak agreed to supply a new sheave. During another warranty repair I noticed another sheave was also corroded and this time BendPak agreed after multiple calls to give me a new sheave but I would have to pay for the installation (this is a brand new lift). My vendor Babco in Canada was totally useless and supplied no support. I'm very disappointed in what was suppose to be one of the best lifts on the market. BendPak does not stand by their product.

Purchased two HD7-Wide lifts in January. Installer has been on-site seven times to try and fix the deficiencies in the lift so they would work. BendPak customer service is and was useless. Finally after involvement from our attorney, BendPak agreed to pick the lifts up and take them away. It has been four weeks since lifts were taken back and I am still awaiting balance of refund. BendPak will not answer calls or emails and even with an agreement in writing regarding the full refund they have not followed thru. Do NOT buy from this company. They are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Go anywhere else but BendPak.
This company is horrible
This company is horrible, promised order with free shipping only to email to call in to pay fuel surcharge as a separate transaction after my order was placed and paid for. My order never shipped out, after about two weeks I called only to be told my order was not filled due to no inventory at their Alabama warehouse, mind you no one bothered to call to inform me for two weeks. Customer service is nonexistent and horrible, they show no appreciation nor care for your business. My advice, take your business somewhere else to a company that values it.

A variety of federal deceptive trade practices violations
Ordered a Cool Boss for $1495 with free shipping. A week went by and then some random person from Bend pak starts emailing me that there is a $55 shipping surcharge. I can't call her she must call me. I asked if they could just charge the card on file and the reply was that they don't keep cards on file. Bunch of phone tag and just general strangeness. Finally I just said to them either ship the item or refund my money. It took two weeks for them to refund the card. The company appears to be run by amateurs. You are going to violate a variety of federal (and no doubt state) statutes over $55? How about increase the price and let people know what they are expected to pay. and leave it at that?

I ordered a XPS-10AS and it arrived at the truck terminal promptly. Ordering and the initial arrive of the lift was within a week, very prompt.
The quality of the lift appears to be good, I have no concerns with safety of the lift up to their rating of 10,000lbs.
The instructions were to understand. The main problem is the drawings, they are obscure and give perspectives that have cutaways that are not mentioned. No mention of how to bleed the system or much information on the hydraulic pump. This was only a small problem, though.
The Huge problem I have and the reason they only get two stars is support. Bendpak's support is some of the worst I have dealt with from a company.
When we finished installing my lift we found that the hydraulic pump motor was only buzzing, would blow a 30 amp breaker and started smoking before it blew the breaker.
Getting Bendpak support to respond is ridiculous. There appears to be no incentive for support representatives to do the right thing, they seemed bored and uninterested in helping me out.
The problem with my pump unit is the stator in the motor is not perfectly round and during a 30 degree rotation of the rotor, the rotor contacts the stator causing the motor to stall. Poor quality control, all they had to do to test the motor was spin it by hand before installing it on the pump.
It took Bendpak support 10 minutes to confirm the motor is bad and agree I needed a new pump unit sent. It then took them 4 days to get the "order" sent out and I have yet to receive a tracking number for the new pump unit. These units are available all over Amazon for $300.
Buyer beware!
I've always wanted BendPak lifts since I opened my shop. I bought my first one last year and the experience has been horrible. It came in two months later than promised. It showed up with the wrong arms on it (I ordered low profile arms and they later told me they weren't available for a month). They left the lift with regular arms that don't fit under most of the cars we work on so we use jacks and ramps on almost every car that we work on in that service bay. Every month I call and email, usually without any response at all. When I am persistent and finally talk to a human I'm told that the arms will be here next month...every month....it's been 9 months. My emails do not ever get a response, my voicemails do not ever get a return call. The customer service here is horrible. The lift is ok for the most part, aside from not being what I ordered. One of the pulleys is eating itself and leaving metal shavings in the post which probably isn't good but I'm more concerned with the initial problem that I have gone 9 months and still don't have what I ordered and have absolutely no customer support whatsoever. Buyer beware.
Shipping Delays
I ordered a 4 post Bendpak lift from Summit Racing in August 2021. It is January 2022 and no word. I understand that there is a global pandemic going on but an email with some sort of status report would be nice.

We simply ordered some hose and fittings in December , paid for at the time of sale from Melissa Bravo... We are still waiting, only to be told there accounting department didn't release the order. Customer service is absolutely the worst. NEVER AGAIN !!!

Decent products. Customer service and ordering parts is a nightmare. Takes a simple process with 2/3 days being down into a back and forth email nightmare with 2/3 weeks being down...it's insane.

All I can say is what poor quality, I purchased a bendpak 10k pound 2 post hoist just over 2 years ago. We now have hydraulic oil leaking and after further investigation we found the actual ram that moves in and out of the lift cylinder is cracked! I called bendpak and they said that the lift cylinders are only warrantied for 2 years and I’m just out of that period. I am just very concerned that this company is saying it’s acceptable for someone to be under a 10k pound vehicle knowing that their product will fail after only 2 years. I will not be buying a bendpak lift ever again and I hope enough people see this to realize that bendpaks quality is not the same as it once was.

Thieves! I purchased products from Bendpak and Eric was my salesman. I haven’t received anything from my $25k order till this day! Customer service has been ignoring all my attempts to get in touch with them or a manager. This is a dishonest business and i advise everyone to take their business elsewhere. They caused my business over a 100k loss due to faulty products and their inability to take care of the situation!

The most terrible customer service I have ever experienced in my life!!! After buying over $30,000 worth of equipment, I can absolutely zero customer service. The $8000 air compressor machine I purchased stopped working after only a couple of months (still under manufacturer warranty). For three months now I have been calling them five times a day to either repair or replace the machine and cannot get anyone to help me. Save your time and money and buy elsewhere!!
