I am very happy with the support that the British dental Association has provided to me as a member. I feel that they have my best interest as a dentist at heart and working hard to uphold my expectations. I have been a member for 22 years and will continue to do so until I retire

A heartfelt thank you to Alun McLean, Welsh employment relations officer, who provided invaluable advice and support to me at a most stressful time recently. His calm and knowledgeable manner and empathy for my situation were of great help. I cannot praise his efforts on my behalf enough.

always the most up to date advice and information you would not take a long journey without membership of RAC or AA so do not progress through your dental career without the BDA to put you on the right track no matter how many speed -bumps or road-works along the way

A massive thank you to the speaker for her support at this time, and a massive thank you to The BDA who are proving themselves time and time again to be a hugely supportive union. I encourage all my colleagues to be members, I'm proud that we almost all are in my organisation, but I work on the individuals who I know are not members, as I cannot understand why not. Thank you for everything you do to support us all!

I asked a complex question regarding the evidence base with regard to decontamination during the pandemic for dental surgeries. A member of the BDA's Compliance Team discussed the issues I had raised after telephoning me and spent hours researching the relevant science and guidance - I received feedback late evening and even after a weekend. Above and beyond the call of duty in my opinion.

I have had the opportunity to take advice from Michael Fenton over the last few weeks , I found that he was very supportive and patient and was there for me when I needed help the most. He went above and beyond my expectations by talking to me outside of his normal working hours. I feel the BDA overall is doing a stupendous work for the profession and wish each and every dentist takes up the membership as its really worth it.

I have been a BDA member for many years and have always appreciated the work they do, for all dentists. However, I don’t think I would have survived mentally, the last couple of months without them. The daily updates and constant support for the profession as a whole has made me truly feel that they are fighting our corner every single day. I would wholeheartedly recommend that all dentists join the BDA, particularly now.

The BDA has shown commitment and fantastic support to the dental profession during the Coronavirus crisis. The team at the BDA has worked tirelessly to represent the profession and has done an excellent job in doing so. I would encourage others to join as they have shown we are stronger together.

I would like to thank the whole team for their leadership and efforts throughout this situation.
The BDA has consistently provided timely and accurate information; distilling often conflicting or confusing information from other disparate parts of the industry into contemporaneous and comprehensive advice for all the dental team.
In addition, the BDA strives to ensure the profession receives a fair deal, making it, in my view, the exemplar dental organisation.
Thank you again.

I have been using the library at the BDA since I qualified 15 years ago. More so initially since I was doing courses, and needed books and papers. The staff are always helpful, and knowledgeable. Helen the Library Manager is always on hand at the end of a phone and email. Lately they have been offering access to a wider range of Journals, more than ever before, and for someone who has interest in peridodontology, dental implants and oral surgery, this allowed me to access more papers than ever, all within my BDA membership. I found this invaluable for background reading for free webinars I gave during the COVID crisis.

Nobody seems to be doing more to help dentists at the moment. Cannot fault them, and decided to join as a result. Would encourage others to do so as well - Together we stand, and most definitely divided we fall.

The BDA has been outstanding in providing invaluable advice and live updates during the Coronavirus pandemic. I really appreciate the advisory team's prompt and professional approach. In particular, I would like to thank Priya Sharma and Sarah Williams for their dedication and kindness in addressing my questions over the last few weeks.
The professionalism and sincerity of the BDA is very reassuring. Their support and guidance will go a long way to overcome the challenges that this disease brings, so that we can continue to care for our patients and the wider community. Thank you so much for your all your ongoing support.

BDA Indemnity
''supporting our members now and forever'' is their advert
I have been a member for 30 years, have had some issues with indemnity recently after trying to change. BDA indemnity were unable to help despite quoting prior to my renewal.
Very disappointing
I can not praise high enough the service provided by Mr Michael Fenton.
His advisement was detailed, compassionate, no effort was spare to make complicated calculations easy to follow ! Many thanks !Margaret

Excellent advice, very helpful and extremely professional.
Have been member for a while and especially James Goldman, who has given me countless support with creating bespoke Associate Contracts and contract advice in general.
Amazing

I cannot recommend the BDA highly enough. In particular, I have received really excellent, extremely prompt advice over the last few months on a variety of different issues from Joanne Whistler regarding my contract and various other somewhat complex issues. I would have been quite stuck without this support and guidance - thank you Joanne for all your help.

Like others I think the BDA is invaluable for their help and advice, but for me the library service is the most underrated benefit of membership! Amazing collection of both physical books/journals and ebooks. They post items really promptly and for free so you only have to pay for return shipping. The topic packs are also great for keeping upto date with whichever area interests you.
The staff are so helpful and friendly. I recently recommended a book that had just been released by the publisher, a day later the library had ordered it and the following day it was sent to me in the post!! Now that's service!

Most dentists think they have the indemnity cover that BDA Indemnity offers with their current mutual providers. When you unpick the terms & conditions, in reality, there is not the surety of assistance when it is needed & it is more expensive. BDA Indemnity addresses all the deficiencies of Mutual Societies & for a lower cost. I would urge all dentists to look at their current indemnity provision; cost is not the main driver but peace of mind.
