BDA have really upped their game and are fighting for all dentists across the UK. Although maintaing professionalism is important, it was important for the union to become slightly more assertive in order to represent dentists effectively. The softy softly approach didn't work and it is great to see that a new team are fighting our corner.

I recently required advice and assistance due to being TUPE'd in my employed work from an NHS community post to a Corporate organisation. The adviser was very knowledgeable and brought up and advised on a number of issues I would never have even known to consider. Great service for an employed dentist on the essential membership. Pity I'd have to pay double, to upgrade my membership, to get advice for my 1 day a week self employed role, which makes it unfeasible.
