It's a scam, forget about Base44, please don't do what I did. I persisted, I'm Elite 3 and I got caught red-handed modifying the code 🤣, but also your AI is buggy, your employees manipulate user data... See more

I have been waiting 12 days for them to fix a simple issue of giving me the upgrade credits that I paid for. I went from Basic to Builder and still have not received the 10k credits. They are giving me 100 credits which was Basic. My app is at a standstill because they have not given me the correct credit. I am now being ignored and my app is not able to work without the proper credits. This really sucks.
The service is so bad and the advertising is so good, I think we should file a class action lawsuit.

The AI in this app feels fundamentally broken and focused on wasting credits rather than helping users succeed. Even simple, clearly explained changes don’t get applied, and repeated errors force more AI prompts burning additional credits only to end up with no actual progress. The experience creates a frustrating loop of cost and inefficiency where nothing gets done despite repeated attempts.

I have never encountered such rude customer service in my life. They have now stopped replying to my messages.
I strongly recommend never working with Base44. Once you’re tied to them, you’re stuck. Most of the time, their AI doesn’t work properly. They claim it’s one credit per message, but sometimes one message costs 3–4 credits. Their customer service team is a bunch of incompetents.
Stay at least 100 miles away from them. I downgraded my account, and it’s been 2 days with no response.

I had a disappointing experience with Base44. I only wanted to check the Builder plan pricing on 04.03 and closed the pop-up without subscribing. My bank initially showed the payment as rejected, so I assumed nothing went through, but the money was later taken anyway, which feels misleading.
Additionally, the prompts in the app often don’t do what I ask, even when I try different wording, which makes the experience frustrating.
I’ve requested a refund and would prefer to stay on the Starter plan. Hoping for a fair resolution.

I saw their ad on YouTube and decided to give them a try for fun and built a decent app for my social club.
I then decided to try something more complex for my business and have proceeded to waste $1000 in memberships because of faulty ai.
You keep pointing out the problem and ai says it fixed it only for the same issue to remain until your monthly credit allocation is all consumed.
When I complained to base of the huge waste in the credit balance they said tough xhit we're not going to help.
I would advise anyone thinking of trying Base to give Rocket a try instead.

Most of the other reviews hit it on the head. Slow customer "support", the AI cannot deliver what was advertised to me (a mobile app), and no accountability for dozens of wasted credits on issues caused by the AI builder. It looks pretty, but needs a lot of work before they should be expecting people to pay for it.
Full of bugs. Will use up 100% of all your credits on a single simple task. Customer service will not rectify situation and will blame it on the user.
I would say that I am fairly tech savy and use AI for a lot of things. I am very detailed with prompts and very specific on what I want. I will also work with other prompting programs to ensure that my credits are used appropriately.
This company uses a "credit based" system rather than monthly. So if AI consistently gets it wrong, as it does because AI isn't fully reliable, then the user is left at fault. Because of the many issues with AI, Base44 should be using a monthly system rather than credit until they work the kinks out.
Customer service is run by AI so you get absolutely no help whatsoever. The AI bot (acting as a human) will not try at all to fix your issue and will blame you instead. I asked for my money back and their response was: "Here's how to cancel your account"...
My app is very simple and straightforward and not complex by any means. The builder should not have so may issues with the insane price that is paid.
THIS APP IS SUPER SLOW, IT DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ADS

7 days ago, I wrote a Trustpilot review about what I'd experienced in my first 72 hours of registering with Base44: "How Can Base44 Customer Service Be This Bad?!" (posted on 3/27)
The next day, Base44 responded to my review and began to actively start working on my multiple open support tickets that had basically gone unaddressed. How? 1. A support person who named and owned the multiple Base44 errors. 2.) Acknowledgment that the AI error that resulted in me exhausting credits was unfair. 3. Adding 150 credits to my account as a refund of what was previously used. There was also an ask: could I consider updating/changing my Trustpilot review now that they'd addressed my issues?
A new low in customer service, right? So I declined and committed to updating my review with where we were.
7 days later, we're back here again, and now I'm seeing a pattern. Whenever my app is completed and my credits are exhausted, something occurs on the backend that requires troubleshooting. And there is no way to do that unless I upgrade to be afforded more credits. This is twice now in 14-days of being on the platform, and I do not believe it's a coincidence; it's a strategy to exploit a user's dependency on Base44's backend stability and to give us no choice but to spend more money.
On 4/6, one day after my app was finally completed and my credits used, I noticed that my app's images had disappeared. I reported this issue by opening yet another ticket at 8:13 PM. Base44 support, "Serhii", responded at 4:38 AM - always offshore time:
Our engineering team identified a temporary platform-level issue affecting our CDN (Content Delivery Network) and SSL configurations. This caused certain images hosted on our infrastructure to fail with connection and protocol errors.
I am pleased to confirm that the underlying cause has been resolved, and our systems are back to normal operations.
To ensure everything displays correctly on your end, please follow these steps:
Hard Refresh: Perform a hard refresh of your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows/Linux or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).
Check Incognito/Private Mode: If you still see broken images, please try opening your app in an incognito window to rule out any persistent local caching.
Clear Browser Cache: In some cases, clearing your browser's hosted image cache may be necessary to pull the fresh data from our servers.
We have verified that the images are now loading correctly across the platform. We are continuously working to improve our infrastructure stability to prevent these types of hiccups in the future.
Thank you for your patience and for being part of the Base44 community.
--------------------
Here's the kicker: the issue was NEVER corrected, and Base44 has NOT responded to my multiple requests for a fix or addressed complaints since. It is now 7:55 AM on 7/8.
Yesterday, I could not reference my app in a meeting with a new client, and the consultant helping me identify seed investors could not point to my completed app in a meeting with a potential donor.
All of this is just 14 DAYS in. Base44 is literally the worst customer service experience I've ever had as a consumer or tech professional.
Base44 doesn't care what it costs its customers.
The platform and the service fail to deliver on their commitment to 24/7 real-time support, exploit a user's dependency on the stability of their backend, and use the technology to ensure upgrades by disrupting COMPLETED app experiences that have exhausted credits.
This time, I'm not spending more $$ by upgrading. I will use Base44 as my cautionary tale to clients and peers of why NOT to take the bait by believing the flashy promotions.
Sure, the Base44 car has a shiny exterior, but without a real engine, it is built more for show than for performance or staying power.
Before I warned, "design at your own risk". Now at 14 days in, and that has shifted to: JUST DON'T DO IT.
This is NOT a user experience you want or deserve, and it's certainly not a platform you can trust OR grow with.
Product isn't bad, but the billing is inaccurate and misleading. I purchased builder for $40 a month for a year. Then I kept getting messages to upgrade. They don't clearly explain that use can't cancel when you order. Then I asked to cancel my subscription, and the took a further $670 from my account. I'm going to take legal action against them AVOID LIKE THE PLAQUE.
I have built three apps, all now on the App Store. Ran into many a problems, but for every single issue, Support people were able to help and resolve my issue.
As someone with no programming skills, even though I had the content knowledge for my apps, I would have never been able to create three good educational apps without Base44 and without their support team.
I highly recommend Base44 to anyone interested in creating educational apps.
Its a scam and a waste of time and money. The ai will purposely spend all of your credits to create a problem then spend all of the credits you paid for and accomplish nothing at all. Dont waste your time or money on this crap app. Its absolutely garbage and the support team wont fix anything at all! Use unity or something that will actually work this crap does not work and likely never will!
Service is terrible, the app does not play well with others and their ai is not good. It makes costly mistakes you can never get refunded and lies and finagles the usage of your credits in a way that is not predictable.
I've been building MOVEARA, a premium real estate intelligence platform for Mallorca, using Base44, and honestly the experience has been much better than expected.
What impressed me most is how fast you can go from an idea to a working product without needing a huge technical team. It allowed me to build landing pages, forms, reports, AI features and premium sections much faster than with traditional no-code tools.
The platform is not perfect and sometimes there are small bugs or limitations, especially when projects become more complex, but overall it saves an incredible amount of time. For founders, startups or anyone building a serious project quickly, Base44 can be a huge advantage.
Compared to other builders I've tried, Base44 feels more flexible, more modern and much more capable for creating real products instead of simple websites.
Every time I see a new advert even after blocking them countless times, I'm now going to leave a new 1 star review.

Yet again, Base44 manages to close my ticket without solving it. My account is now blocked for over a week, no response. This must be the worst customer service ever seen.
I was browsing Base44's yearly plan comparison page when clicking what I believed was a comparison button immediately charged my card $249.97 AUD with no confirmation screen, no review step, and no warning.
The pricing page displayed prices with no mention of USD at all — I only discovered the USD component after digging through a buried invoice sent to my email after the charge had already gone through. As an Australian customer I had no way of knowing the advertised price was in a foreign currency.
I cancelled immediately the same day and raised two support tickets. The plan shows as cancelling April 5, 2027 confirming I acted straight away. Despite cancelling, Base44 will not allow me to remove my card from their system, displaying an error saying 'you can't delete this payment method because you have an active plan that uses it.'
Base44 has no email support. Their only options are in-app tickets which have gone unanswered. I have since had to pursue a chargeback through my bank and lodge a complaint with the ACCC regarding their misleading pricing practices.
Australian customers should be aware: prices are in USD with no disclosure on the pricing page, and the upgrade button charges you instantly with no confirmation step.
Ive had a great experience building my business its own app. Ive created quickbooks, mileiq, and much more all built into my business flow.
The support team was very sincere with me and has helped me with any problem (my own doing) and has fixed it for me. Ill continue to support Base44 forever.
What is the logic behind the fact that credits do not carry over from month to month?
If I get credits for a certain month, why should I be under pressure to use them so they don't roll over to the next month?
Letting a person work at their own pace, what is that thing?
Unless Wix is counting on a person not using up their points, needing credits and upgrading a plan, even though they don't have to!!??
