It's a scam, forget about Base44, please don't do what I did. I persisted, I'm Elite 3 and I got caught red-handed modifying the code 🤣, but also your AI is buggy, your employees manipulate user data... See more

Builder is great! They came so far from what it was before, Community is great! Stuff is amazing!
I have been using base44 since August of last year and it’s by far the greatest ai app builder out there, I tried Replit for a few months and spent THOUSANDS of dollars of each month! It’s affordable, it gets complex API’s integrated in just a few prompts! I have been able to build any app that pops in my brain and have multiple mobile apps in the app stores because of Base44!
After seeing the commercials for Base44 I wanted to try it as I try many AI platforms.
But for the cost, it made too many mistakes that took my credits away.
They are good at marketing but I think their product can be much better.
base44 is an amazing platform! Ive been using it now for almost a year and ill never move over to anything else. Its seemless and does everything you could ever need from a vibe coding platform. I highly recommend checking them out and using them!
I Hate Base44 I told Her to Insert a API key and she Completly Ignored me and they want to much Money for this sucking website I dont Reccommend!!!!! DONT TRY OUT!!!!!! NEVER

I’ve been using Base44 for a few months now and I’m hooked. The capabilities still amaze me. Things that felt impossible a year ago are now something I can build on my own.
It’s not perfect every time, but that’s expected with any AI tool, especially in such a fast-evolving space. What really stands out is the team. They’re constantly releasing updates, listening to the community and improving the product. That gives me a lot of confidence in the platform.
A couple of tips for anyone getting started:
- Start with discussion mode. It’s cheaper per message and helps you clearly understand what the AI plans to build before using more credits.
-If you get stuck, switch the LLM. Different models can give very different results, and this often gets things moving again.
Overall, strong capabilities, constant improvements and a responsive team. I haven’t seen a community request go ignored and support replies fast.
Base44 has definitely become a core tool for me.
I came across Base44 through an Instagram ad, and it was clear they’re targeting people who aren’t qualified coders but have a solid app idea. I’m fairly tech-savvy, so I decided to give it a try. I bought 100 credits and started building my first paid app. Initially, everything went smoothly—I was genuinely impressed with how well the AI understood what I was trying to do.
Everything works… until something breaks.
That’s when you’ll quickly see your credits disappear. You get stuck in a loop where the AI keeps asking for the same information repeatedly, making “edits” that don’t actually change anything. If you land in this loop and you’re not a developer, good luck—that’s where things fall apart. It feels like a trap. Your credits just get drained while you’re trying to fix what should be a simple issue.
I ended up spending a significant number of credits trying to resolve a very basic conditional logic problem. After about two hours, it became clear the system wasn’t going to solve it—it was just stuck, and I was the one paying for it.
Very frustrating experience. I wouldn’t recommend paying for credits unless you’re capable of fixing issues yourself when things go wrong.

Makes mistakes and doesnt function properly yet will take your credits. How is this in any way fair on the consumer?
Avoid this service until:
1. Credits roll over to the next month if not used
Why: Currently running a use it or lose it policy
2. You can tell the AI to refund you credits for its mistakes.
Why: It literally acknowledges mistakes and still cant refund them. Genuinely how is that fair to the user? What’s stopping it from making mistakes on purpose to incentivise you to buy more credits to fix the issue?
3: It becomes cheaper
Why: $50 per month for an Ai that constantly makes mistakes and doesnt do what you ask for, yet will charge you for it is not acceptable to me
Base44 is so bad. It doesn't listen to you, can't follow pictures, can't handle large projects, lies about what it does, charges you too much, and makes mistakes. It takes like 10 credits for it to get something right. It also has way too many bugs. It is very good at the start, but fails a lot after like 2 chats. Sorry.

scam, hundreds of euro stolen, AI keep in il loop "thinking" for hours, i tried milion of options for fix the problem (clean cache, hard refresh, restart browser, differents browser, restart pc and more and more) but is about the website that get stuck. I wrote costumer support for explaination getting back this answer "bugs about AI is not a base44 responsability". I was thinking to collect people and start a big complain following the european laws and refund for moneys and time lost

I tried to build a really basic app. Worked all day. Payd the entry level fee. the AI got caught in a loop and kept deleting my progress on the app. All the credits got used up and I have not been able to have a conversation with anyone. Aparently they don't give refunds. Avoid at all cost

Avoid Base44.
I was charged 149 credits in a couple days ***without using the platform***. No automations, no users, not shared, barely logged in. There is no legitimate explanation for this.
Support was dismissive and hid behind policy language instead of providing a usage breakdown or investigating the issue.
Opened ticket #69debca3 and got nowhere.
Warning: your credits can disappear without clear cause, and you won’t get real answers.
If this isn’t resolved, I will be disputing the charges.
Incredible App builder, incredible and amazing AI 'assistant' (it really does all the work), fast and accurrate but, most of all their service (the humans) are really helpful, wonderful and really there for you (actually me). I could not ask for a better 365° experience. I wish I could give them 1 million stars. Huge Thanks to them and I'm really happy to be able to tell the world!!
I had a bug where the new gift card system didn't update the page, so I saw the old one. I bought a 100-credit gift card, but it ended up being a discount. I opened a ticket, and this absolute goat of a support agent, Bar, saw my issue and hooked me up with the 100 credits instead of just brushing me off. I'm so grateful because I got to fix my app. Thank you, Bar, you are truly the best!
I’ve been building a live app (MiniJobs SA) using Base44, and overall it’s been a very positive experience.
What impressed me most is how quickly you can go from an idea to a working product. I was able to build, test, and launch much faster than I expected, which is a big advantage if you want to move quickly.
I did run into some challenges along the way, especially with connecting my custom domain. It wasn’t very straightforward at first, but once the support team stepped in, they were very helpful and resolved the issue properly.
What I like:
- Fast development and iteration
- Easy to turn ideas into real apps
- Support team that actually helps when needed
What could improve:
- Custom domain setup could be clearer for new users
- Some UI flows could be a bit more intuitive
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Base44 to anyone looking to build and launch an app without traditional coding. It’s a solid platform with good support behind it.

DO NOT USE. The AI is about as intelligent as a brain damaged gold fish. It does the basics ok, but then it absolutely consumes credits (surprise surprise) by continuously getting basic instructions wrong. EG, it asks for a screenshot to show what you want to be changed, then uses that screenshot to replace one of the images. Do Not Use, it's ridiculous. I image that if you pay the highest tariff of 1000 credits a minute, it will suddenly be brilliant!!

Tech Support downgraded my account as I requested and when they did they broke my account credits so now I have no credits to run my payroll processing app. I cannot add credits or reach anyone at support. I have been waiting over 16 hours for a response and obviously they just don't care. There is no way to reach someone with a real issue without waiting days.

I upgraded to a paid plan on Base44 after encountering an issue with rapid credit depletion tied to automation behavior within the platform.
The core problem is that credits were being consumed continuously by background automations in a way that was not clearly surfaced or managed. I upgraded specifically to continue working, without being made aware that the underlying issue was still active.
When I reached out to support, instead of investigating internally (which should be possible given they have access to system logs and message history), I was asked to manually locate and provide a specific message from within a very large thread.
That’s not a reasonable expectation given the volume of activity—and more importantly, it shifts the burden of debugging onto the user.
At this point, I’m less concerned about the initial issue and more concerned about:
Lack of visibility into credit consumption drivers
No safeguards or alerts for runaway automation usage
Support processes that require users to do internal investigation work
I’ll update this review as the situation progresses.
