Barrabes nació en el pueblo de Benasque, en los Pirineos.
En los años 90 decidimos abrir, en ese pequeño y aislado lugar, la tienda de montaña más grande de España, entre las más grandes de Europa.
Nos atrevimos porque apostamos por algo que, entonces, sonaba a magia: INTERNET: vimos una oportunidad única para quienes, como nosotros, vivían en las montañas.
Nuestra tienda online fue de las primeras de Europa en abrirse, en cualquier ámbito, y pronto fuimos una referencia en el comercio online.
A día de hoy, seguimos siendo líderes en el sector porque nunca hemos dejado de intentar mejorar y hacerlo lo mejor posible. Pero también porque nuestra incansable pasión por la montaña nos impulsa a que así sea.

I paid extra money to get the item on Friday 23 Feb and has not arrived.Instead I received a notification saying that the item will arrive Monday 26 Feb.This is no use to me as we are flying on Monday for the ski/hiking holiday.

Wery nice service and nice costomer service that answer me Wery fast. I will definitely use this shop many, many times more. A lot off different item too buy too. I like for example that i possible too buy Devold productos ( Whool/Lano ) from Devold Norway. The only i don't like is that take a little bit long time too get the petidos too my adress. I got the map I need for next year…
I got the map I need for next year .. that I can't find from any English map supplier!
Only complaint .. why send 1 map in a 35 x 30 x 4 cm cardboard box ? Such a waste .. it would fit in a small envelope AND that would fit through my door without me having to go 3 km to the post office to collect it!

Unexpected charges in price.
There were unexpected VAT charges at both ends of this transaction, 20% in Spain and 20% in the UK. At the UK end "brokerage charges" were applied without explanation. I sought an initial explanation from barrabes, with no response from them. This has added a total of GBP£40.91 to the cost of a pair of boots, without a stated opportunity to reclaim a portion of it.
