I am extremely disappointed with Back…

I am extremely disappointed with Back Market and the way this has been handled. I paid an extra £39 for a battery replacement that was never done, then returned the phone through a Royal Mail locker exactly as instructed. The locker's label printer wasn't working, but I entered all the required details before posting it. If the parcel couldn't be accepted without a label, it should never have been collected. My phone has now gone missing, and for over a month I've been passed back and forth between Royal Mail and Back Market with absolutely no resolution. I've emailed Back Market multiple times, yet despite claiming they reply within one business day, I've been ignored for over a week. To make matters worse, my account has been suspended, preventing me from accessing important information about my order. I've done everything I possibly can to sort this out, but your complete lack of communication and responsibility has been unacceptable. No customer should be treated this way, and this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had.

been back and forth with them for TWO MONTHS still haven't got my money back bought an UNLOCKED phone set it up put a pass code on screen within an hour the phone was locked to a Spanish network due to an unpaid bill sent phone back it was sent back to me to take the pass code off which obviously I cannot do sent it back to them nearly 4 weeks ago again THREE times I have been promised a refund then everyday its someone different you speak to on chat and its a different story they want me to take the phone back and take the passcode off have told them over and over and sent them photos to prove I cannot do this at my wits end now so much for the back market guarantee so currently its been 2 months now the seller has the phone and my money at this point its just theft now avoid with your life

Arrives faulty, given constant incorrect info, been difficult to get repair, no phone for weeks now. Shocking company, AVOID!

I bought a phone from back market for my son's birthday, who has high SEN needs.
From the beginning the charger cable wasn't right. You had to wiggle it to get connection.
It was hard to explain to my son that his new phone had to go away to be fixed.
Before I sent, I read all the information and it said to remove account before sending, the phone no longer turned on as it completely stopped charging, so I couldn't remove it that way. I tried remotely but it kept saying phone not found.
So BEFORE I sent, I emailed and explained. The reply was it's fine. The technicians are trained and will not use my personal information and to just send the phone. Then I get an email saying they can't repair as the account still on. I emailed with a screenshot of their response saying it was fine. Was told again, oh yes it's fine again. Then it wasn't, then it was, then i think I managed to do it remotely but that then locked the phone completely apparently and now they're sending it back so that I can unlock it and send back again! It's been weeks and will likely take weeks more. I honestly wish I'd just gone to CEX. This is shocking and seems to be a recurring theme with Black Market. I'd just like a refund at this point.

My items were easy to track and came…

My items were easy to track and came when expected. It’s very easy to browse products and compare tech and prices. Customer services communication was first rate. The only negative was that my delivery was incomplete ie no charger and cable. But that is being rectified and I will be receiving them shortly,fingers crossed.

I’ve used Backmarket a few times now

I’ve used Backmarket a few times now, so far they’ve been great for getting used phones from, send them first class delivery to your door with everything checked out like description marks if any, they also make sure that you have a power lead, I can not say how pleased I am with the service level.

Very impressive service and products

I've bought several items from Backmarket and have been impressed thus far.
Very impressived with the last interaction where fine cracks appeared along the inner fold of a Galaxy z fold 7 that I purchased through Backmarket. I was expecting a bit of a tussle re whether the damage was my fault or not (it wasn't), but the item was returned with a brand new inner screen in double quick time. I would recommend Backmarket without hesitation.

MacBook Pro 16-inch (2021) Failed after six weeks.

I ordered a MacBook Pro 16-inch (2021) - Apple M1 Max 10-core and 24-core GPU - 64GB RAM - SSD 1000GB from Back Market, delivered 3rd March.
It failed after six weeks.
The replacement then also developed a screen fault within 3 weeks. I rely on a laptop for my dissertation as a full time Masters student, and as a self-employed online business owner, so this caused serious time and financial disruption. After returning the item via DHL and being told a refund would be processed within 48 hours, I received conflicting explanations and additional document demands. The refund was only processed after I informed them I intended to escalate the matter, reporting them to Trustpilot and on social media platforms with a legal letter of complaint due to breach of the consumer act. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using Backmarket or the seller which was Celebrium Technologies.
