AutoNation Ford Sanford Florida is a joke.

In December 2024, I paid $7,125.60 for a major engine timing repair on my Mustang at AutoNation Ford Sanford. I was told by the service advisor that the repair was a “definite solution” and came with a 24-month unlimited mileage warranty.

Less than 7 months later, the same issue returned. I brought the car back in June 2025. The dealership acknowledged the timing components had failed again and began a warranty repair. During disassembly, they found crankshaft keyway damage, declared it “unrelated,” and quoted me $12,818.18 for a full engine replacement.

So now, I’m out $7K for a repair that didn’t work — and being told to pay another $13K to fix what I thought was already fixed. The car is now undrivable and disassembled. This is unacceptable from a Ford-authorized service center.

I have full documentation, and I’m now pursuing formal complaints with Ford, BBB Auto Line, and legal counsel. If you're considering getting engine work done here, think twice. You may end up paying thousands for a “repair” that leaves you worse off than before.

Autonation Dodge Ram Arapahoe are crooks

Randall Meidinger
The dealership is flat out greedy, charging a $799 dealer handling fee. I asked if they would split it and they immediately said no. Most dealers no longer charge dealer handling, so an immediate no is just arrogant and greedy. On top of it, the vehicle i purchased needed $1,000 dollars plus in repairs and even though I informed them the same day, they said they would not do the repairs. My salesperson (Jeff F) also became sarcastic and just flat out uncaring about the fact he'd sold me this vehicle that needed repairs. So much for their wonderful 103 point vehicle inspection. I also pointed out that the interior was dirty in some spots and Jeff said "just wipe it off". Cleaning of the vehicle is supposed to be included in the outrageous dealer handling fee they charge. Poor experience, just like the last time I purchased from an AutoNation dealer. That was 8 years ago. You'd think they would have improved and become honest, but, apparently being crooks is what they will always do.

possible scam

appears to be a scam ordered parts over the phone they sent me wrong part returned part back in original box just how they sent it to me. Large, black, large shield for fuel tank upon receipt. Claims part was not returned in original box with original packing material, which is a total lie. What a great scam this is you return the parts. They don't return any money. I'm wondering if they sent the wrong part on purpose to scam me since they have no intention of issuing refund, I will be pursuing legal action.

No Disclosures, No Help — Just $16K in Repairs on a ‘Worry-Free’ Truck

AutoNation claims:
“All of our used vehicles undergo a rigorous inspection process and come with a vehicle history report, so you can rest assured that the vehicle is Worry-Free and ready for the open road ahead!”

I purchased a so-called “Worry-Free” 2014 Ford F-150 from AutoNation Subaru of Scottsdale on May 23, 2025. Less than a month later, certified shops diagnosed catastrophic failures: suspension, turbochargers, coolant system, and overdue high-mileage service — totaling over $15,000 in needed repairs.

Here’s the kicker: these problems had already been identified in a prior inspection before AutoNation performed their “rigorous inspection” and sold the truck. They didn’t disclose a thing.

I contacted them on June 16 with full documentation and a reasonable request to resolve it privately. They acknowledged the report — and then ghosted me. No help. No follow-up. No accountability.

Now, every drive is a game of truck roulette — waiting to see what fails next and hoping it doesn’t kill me or someone else.

But hey, at least AutoNation made the sale.

Terrible Service from autonation on Executive circle in Fort Myers

I bought a used Kia on Tuesday July 22. I picked the car up on the Wednesday.

The button on the drivers door fell off on Sunday. I reported it on Monday. I was told I was over the warranty by one day. Ms.

Garcia the sales Manager talked to the parts Manager and they said they would split the cost and charge me $135 to fix it . I agreed and asked to get a call back as I'm going out of town so I could book an appointment. She assured me she would call back. After that nothing.
I tried Ms Garcia numerous times the following day but she wouldn't answer or return my calls.

I texted my sales person Roman twice asking that he please follow up , again nothing.

I eventually talked to a senior saleperson named Frank who said he would sort it out, then nothing and again i was not able to get through.
I called Autonation Customer Service who said they were very busy ( no kidding) and would get back to me in 5 business days.
By the way I got a few messages from Autonation and my sale representative Roman saying they were there to help after my purchase. I was informed by the staff they are simply computer generated messages.

BEWARE!!

BEWARE!!! AutoNation Honda in Clearwater, Florida does NOT ask for your permission before running your credit!
This team is very pushy. They completely ignored me when I told several times that I was not there to buy a vehicle that day.
Not only did they run my credit without first asking for my permission or even notifying me that they were going to be running it anyway, it felt as though I was being pushed every step of the way. I kept getting railroaded into signing, waiting, signing and more waiting until eventually I had to leave. A couple of times, both the finance man and the sales man were speaking with me simultaneously, which personally I found to be intimidating. Some people might not have felt this way, but for a woman on her own, it was not pleasant at all.
After being kept waiting for nearly 2 hours, eventually I had to leave, but the salesman had my keys. I texted him and he did not respond. After waiting another 8 minutes, I eventually got up to go and look for him.
He called me later the following day to ask when I was going back in to finalize the purchase. I explained that I was not happy which launched him into a diatribe of justifications. There was simply no getting through to him at all. He felt that he had been doing his job, and he was only “trying to help me”. He totally disregarded my comments both at the dealership and again on the phone. I do NOT appreciate being treated that way by anyone!
This style of salesmanship is just simply not suited to every customer who walks in through the door.
It seems that a lack of customer service training along with high sales-driven goals might be the problem. By simply learning to LISTEN to a customer, one can gain more credibility.
Because of this experience I will not be doing business with Autonation Honda and feel a strong obligation to warn others, especially women, about this approach.
PS
BTW, I visited a different Honda dealership yesterday and the experience was completely the exact opposite... no pressure whatsoever. Their salesman was able to provide me with numbers WITHOUT running my credit which is exactly what I had hoped for when I walked into your dealership on Thursday. I highly recommend Crown Honda instead where the salesmen are true gentlemen.

Lemon Law Complaint

Lemon Law Complaint – Mercedes-Benz of Delray Beach / AutoNation / Sedgwick

I leased a brand-new Mercedes from Mercedes-Benz of Delray Beach, Florida, in September 2023. Just three months later, on December 28, 2023, the car completely stopped working. Mercedes-Benz held the vehicle for over 90 days, unable to diagnose or fix the issue.

Given the repeated failure to repair and the extended time out of service, I filed a Florida State Lemon Law claim. The vehicle was officially deemed a lemon.

Mercedes-Benz and AutoNation referred my case to Sedgwick Insurance, their claims handler. Sedgwick has made every step of the process unnecessarily difficult. They falsely claimed I owed money for add-ons already incorporated into my lease payments and refused to reimburse me for the value of my trade-in, which I had used toward the lease.

As a result, I had no choice but to hire a lawyer.

It is now June 17, 2025 and this simple lemon law case remains unresolved. Meanwhile, I’ve made 23 lease payments, and the car, which has only 2,800 miles, sits unused in my driveway.

This is a disgraceful abuse of the lemon law process. AutoNation and Sedgwick have demonstrated complete disregard for consumer rights, accountability, and fair dealing.

AutoNation Phoenix

AutoNation Phoenix, 2625 W. Bell Road Phoenix AZ 85023 US
This has to be the worst customer service I have ever had from a Dodge dealership.
Mike called me & I told him the issue I had, so he said he would take care of it. He said it would be like $35.00, so I told him to put that price down so when I get there you won't say it's going to be $200 or more. Guess what, Mike didn't realize exactly what I was talking about. So, he came out & gave me some bullshit excuse that it's going to be $600 dollars now & that's giving me a $100 dollar an hour rate. So, this so-called tech told him 6 hrs. to do. THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL SCREWING OVER THE CUSTOMER. They lie & then they cheat you after they lie, if you don't know what you are doing QUIT & get another job. Mike told me he was trying to help (what a JOKE) LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER

I recently had the pleasure of working…Kathryn Atkinson

I recently had the pleasure of working with Kathryn Atkinson at Auto Nation in Chattanooga, TN, and I cannot express enough how impressed I am with her professionalism, technical expertise, and outstanding customer service.

From our very first interaction, Kathryn was attentive and truly listened to our needs. We needed to sell our 2013 RAM 1500 4X4 to purchase a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, and Kathryn guided us through the entire process with ease. Her knowledge of the market and understanding of our situation allowed her to secure the funds we wanted for our truck, which was a significant relief.

What truly sets Kathryn apart is her exceptional communication skills. She kept us informed at every step, ensuring we felt comfortable and confident in our decisions. Her friendly demeanor made the entire experience enjoyable, and we really appreciated her dedication to helping us find the right solution for our needs.

Even after the sale, Kathryn continued to provide support, demonstrating her commitment to her clients. I wholeheartedly recommend Kathryn Atkinson at Auto Nation for anyone looking for a smooth and successful vehicle sale or purchase experience. Thank you, Kathryn, for your remarkable service!

AutoNation Ford Katy

AutoNation Ford Katy. I was quoted $531.00 to install a passenger window switch in our 2016 Transit 150. This was after it had been in the shop 30 hours. I also had them do a spot inspection of tires, batteries, oil using a coupon they mailed me. I refused the installation and purchased the switch , a genuine Ford Motorcraft one, online from Rock Auto for $24 plus shipping and tax. It took me no less than 5 minutes to pop the old bad one out and replace it with this new one. It was a simple pop, plug, play.
When I asked Ford why it cost so much they said they had to take the door apart. Really? After I wrote a bad review on GOOGLE they offered to send me $135 for the inspection I paid for if I would rewrite THE REVIEW and give them 5 stars.

Not good

Toyota of Irvine and team is like a bad relationship, great at first, and gets bad quickly. I worked with Don, Elijah cho, Erik yun, and Shawn. You would think they have never sold a car before. The docs that needed sent out to sign sat in Erik's desk for nearly two days. They were unable to confirm my wire transfer of $22k went through until the following week (mind you this was a domestic wire transfer done at my bank). They weren't going to give me a temp tag. No idea about the bill of sale or title work as no one has called back yet nor shared that information. They never shipped my car even after payment and docs were confirmed. I had to call and prompt the transportation to be arranged. Shawns response was "there's three managers and I assumed someone else had done it, it will probably be a week or two before they pick it up" They over charged me approx 350$ in fees and Elijah when said he would look into it first thing over a week ago provided no call or follow up. I then was in speaker with Elijah Shawn and Don; Don explained reason for update and Elijah replied, "hah, dude" to Don. I could hear the smirk and disrespect over the phone. They still cannot tell me when the amount owed back to me or even a final number is. I have bought vehicles from out of state several times and even AutoNation dealers in the past. This has been the worst car buying experience of my life.

In conclusion, if you like being treated poorly, phone calls not returned, incorrect purchase amount invoiced, and all other information above then you may enjoy this place. This was a very unfortunate turn of events and I certainly hope these areas of focus can be improved upon

AutoNation Cadillac cannot be trusted

My experience with the service department at Auto Nation Cadillac was less than one star.
I was mail a coupon for a Dexos oil change and tire rotation. When I took my XT4 in they charged more then Ed Morse Cadillac and Wallace Cadillac charge without a coupon. As if that’s not bad enough they claim to have use an oil additive for an additional $38.00 without asking if I wanted it even though GM says no oil additives are needed if Dexos oil is used. I have spoken to the service manager Robert Lanier and he apologized said he would review it with his team but has not gotten back to me and doesn’t answer my messages. The final screw up is they damaged the drivers side sill plate somehow and have not addressed that either.

Deceptive Practices and Dishonest Staff…

Deceptive Practices and Dishonest Staff – Avoid AutoNation Toyota Buena Park!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with AutoNation Toyota Buena Park was an absolute nightmare, and I want to warn others before they fall victim to the same dishonest tactics.

I purchased a used vehicle in March 2024, paying in full with cash. From the very beginning, the staff repeatedly assured me that any credit check would be a soft pull only. I confirmed this three separate times before proceeding. Yet, despite these promises, a hard inquiry appeared on my credit report, which I did NOT authorize. To make matters worse, it is completely unnecessary and foolish to require a credit check at all when a customer is paying in full with cash. There was absolutely no reason for them to pull my credit, yet they still went ahead and did it—proving their dishonesty and lack of integrity.

The salespeople, Andrew VeraMonte and Edgar Villanueva, were more than happy to make false assurances just to close the sale. The finance manager, Jason Park, handled my paperwork, yet somehow this “mistake” still happened. When I confronted them about their deception, the so-called manager Edward Galan outright refused to correct the issue or remove the unauthorized inquiry. His dismissive attitude and lack of accountability were infuriating.

AutoNation Toyota Buena Park is a shady, untrustworthy dealership that engages in bait-and-switch tactics, deceptive sales practices, and outright lies. If they can’t even be honest about something as simple as a credit check, imagine what else they might be lying about.

DO NOT trust this dealership, and certainly DO NOT trust Andrew VeraMonte, Edgar Villanueva, Jason Park, or Edward Galan. If you value your time, money, and credit score, take your business elsewhere!
