I have now bought several items on the…

I have now bought several items on the site. I live in the vicinity of the auctionhouses where i won auctions (80-300km).
I cant really tell why it has to take on average 3 weeks to deliver my packages when a foreign auctionsite from spain can have my package here in 3 days..

irresponsible

An auction site that prioritizes seller protection above all else. Product descriptions are entirely left to sellers, making hidden defects common. Whether the item received matches the description is purely a matter of luck. When problems arise, they take a very passive stance and act irresponsibly. From the buyer's perspective, it doesn't seem like the work justifies the high fees. They demonstrate a low awareness of buyer rights and are untrustworthy. Use should be avoided.

Waited a long time for my delivery

Waited a long time for my delivery, then when I was expecting to receive it, it didn't arrive. Had an email saying delivered and signed for, not by me it hasn't. Contacted support, given strange request to contact the police, or claim of my house insurance? I found it strange to notify the police as I have to have proof of theft or missing parcel. All contact was within 12-24 hours. Since I provided them a ref no from the police I've had zero contact in 4 days, strange that ! Police have now phoned me and are confused as much as I am, and was told without any proof it is not a police issue and wasting police time !!! I basically got told off ! I'll be going through my bank for a refund!!

Still a way to go

I have had good experience with The auction house I have been using, on The bad side it send as if they speculate in making late payouts on sold items. Several times I had to e-mail Them because The payout date has passed and nothing has happened. So im considering other options.

Unbelievably bad experience

Unbelievably bad experience: their courier collected a £1200 item from a UK auction and disappeared 3 months ago. No one can tell the location of the item, no compensation despite promises, and now stopped responding to emails. Will apply a forced chargeback and forward to law-enforcement. No place for this sort of conduct in this business, as apparent from other reviews also.

Updated: their reply is automatically generated, false and ridiculous -- multiple emails have been submitted to that address without response. Give a name and email of a specific person in charge who will deal with this and be responsible, or stop the nonsensical lies.

Not only do they charge high commissions they also utilise unreliable courier services they charge for on top. I bought an item at an auction in the UK on November 27 which has not been delivered until today, December 12…. and no delivery date confirmed yet …. THIS EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE!!!!!

Scam-level dishonesty from Varbergs…

Scam-level dishonesty from Varbergs Auktionskammare via Auctionet

I purchased a high-value camera lot from Varbergs Auktionskammare through Auctionet, and it turned into a 5-month consumer nightmare.

The item was clearly misrepresented:
– A camera labeled “Not for Sale” had the label deliberately hidden in listing photos.
– The product was defective and non-functional, with broken parts and worn glass on the lenses.
– Two film backs were damaged — one had a broken frame counter, the other didn’t even mount.
– A photo shade was jammed shut and unusable.

None of this was stated in the description, and most defects were visibly concealed in the auction photos.

After reporting the issue, I faced months of silence and evasion from both the auction house and the platform. Auctionet claimed to “mediate” but did nothing. The seller ignored my messages until I involved the European Consumer Centre. Then they simply demanded I return the item without any documentation or guarantee.

I’m not willing to ship an expensive item back to a deceptive seller with no protection — and I never should have been asked to do so.

This behavior is unethical, possibly illegal, and certainly unworthy of any professional auction platform.

⚠️ Avoid Varbergs Auktionskammare. Avoid Auctionet.
They are not trustworthy. If something goes wrong — you are on your own.

As you may have noticed, the overwhelming majority of items match their descriptions and images. However, in rare cases, an item may not be accurately described or may not appear as it does in the images. These cases are exceptions, and I assure you that all such cases are recorded in our system. However, since the auction house is the direct seller, it is their responsibility to handle the complaint and offer a solution.

Awful way to run business

Awful way to run business. I have paid the invoice for 18k gold earrings but still wasn’t posted so I checked the status of postage couple of days and I found out that the earrings were still in the auction house and was accumulating charge for not collection. Shouldn’t they post out the earrings after receiving the payment?
I was shocked as it was an online business based in Sweden, I am buying from Uk and how do they expect me to collect it! Absolutely fuming as there seems to be lots of hidden charges.

I would be very careful before purchasing anything from this website. Also, difficult to communicate with someone regarding problems.
