Wrong item supplied after a 3week wait, we returned the incorrect part back in November, its Feb and they still haven't supplied. Today I get an email saying my order was fulfilled (even though it was wrong part supplied and returned) and we will need a new PO and its a 8 week wait for new item from receipt of PO

They do not send invoices. I have spend hours trying to get an invoice for purchases. When calling their finance dept, they can not do the simplest queries of their orders. There is no sensible connection between orders and invoices. This has happened several times. IT IS A REGULATION THAT BUSINESSES MUST PROVIDE INVOICES - ELEMENT14 YOU ARE IN VIOLATION OF THIS.

A pathetic company that should be avoided like the plague, you have been warned!

Really terrible service lately. My recent order was placed over a month ago and STILL no shipping information for 2 of the items. One of them is now no longer stocked, and I assume I'll never see it. Customer support has been useless.

A shame, as this company used to be great.

Once upon a time, element14 was fast and reliable. Sometime in the last 3 or so years management decided to abdicate and take a permanent holiday. The result is that the lunatics are now in charge of the asylum. It seems to have gotten worse during and since COVID.

Hardly anything I want is in stock anymore leading to a wait of 4 or 5 days on average. Also, going by telephone conversations it seems that so-called sales support has been outsourced to India.

These days E14 is my last choice after RS Components, Digikey and Mouser. If RS Components had a wider stock range I'd use it exclusively.

I'm inclined to write directly to the CEO of E14 about this mess, but I have the feeling I'd be wasting my time. If he knew how to run a company I would not have to write to him.

i placed an order for 3 RPI zeroW on 9/08/22
they would send an email most months since then
sometime in November of 2023 they cancelled my order with no Email notice or warning
in my experience they have shipped 0% of the order i have placed with them and they have been a MASSIVE waste of time and at this point i cant be sure they have ever shipped anything
I NOTICED THE CANCELLATION ON THE 11TH OF NOVEMBER (it was still ordered in October) AND IMMEDIATELY CHECKED MY EMAILS AND NOTHING. i emailed them yesterday and haven't heard back yet

Want your order shipped same-day, as advertised? Expect an email in your just, addressed "Dear Customer" (probably why it ends up in junk - because they're too lazy to look up your name) asking you for all the details you entered at checkout. Expect this to also put your order on hold so it won't ship same day as advertised.

My order hasn't been shipped after 7 months

Horrible service. They cancelled the items multiple times themselves, when placed order again they cancelled again and when asked they told account is suspended because we cancelled previously whereas they had only cancelled.
They told to create a new account and place order and they cancelled again. No one receives calls and they cancel without even bothering to inform.

We are looking to buy NXP microcontrollers. We bought the first batch and tested them in the proto boards and they didnt work. Turns out we were supplied 2014 manufacture units (in November 2022) that were preproduction and had faults. (traced by serial number). E14 accepted fault (of course.. they have to) . We then ordered STM parts shown as in stock. Didnt receive shipping details so rang and was told they are now 12 months lead time. Firstly selling ancient defective stock and then having purchase systems that dont work. They have lost the plot as a supplier.

They item in stock become backordered when ordering, waiting for almost two month for the item.

I posted a review about our negative experience with element14 but there is yet another inept incident I want to share with readers. Our business purchased some timers through the website, paid by credit card and waited for the order to be delivered. We received an email stating we needed to pay by bank transfer on invoice, and checking that the credit card transaction had not gone through (it hadn't and was not showing as pending either), we did pay by transfer. Guess what? Items arrived the next day and 3 days after that element 14 took the amount from our credit card account, having already been paid. We're now chasing them to repay the amount. Be warned that you are not dealing with a professional, efficient company. They knew we had paid by credit card because they sent us an Order Confirmation that doesn't happen unless you've paid them! Shonky as company. Have never had a straightforward transaction with this lot, and never will use them again.

Before I made a purchase with this company I checked to see what others were saying. There's a lot of negative reviews from people with suspiciously no background. I'll admit I was nervous but went ahead and made a purchase. We live in a semi rural location yet our item arrived within two days and exactly as described. I would totally recommend element14 in my experience.

Wish I had a chance to give a zero rating to Element14. But the lowest rating is 1 and so left with no options. Our shipment was held for 5 months despite paying the complete amount while placing the order.
There was no response to either my calls or emails for a long time and all of a sudden a representative responded saying the order information is missing from their database.
When we defend and argue producing all the necessary proofs, that representative requested me to place the order again.
Unfortunately, even that order was not delivered.
I have made a number of calls, written a number of emails and after many attempts realized that canceling the order is the only solution.
They have accepted a refund over the phone and denied it over email.
This element14 cannot be relied on.
I lost precious 7 months (Currently, it is November 2021), which affected my student career significantly.
Till now, I have no idea if I will receive any refund or not.
I wish I had a chance to sue them but me being a student I am feeble and so suffering the consequences of their irresponsible attitude.

Even they self cancelled the order first; they refused to refund the money back and when i shoot mail trail to customer service (Mr. Shreeram) in India the order is delievred after 1 month delay and giving lot of execuse. Now i don't have any use of that order and they even denied to return the order. And will not gonna initiate refund.

Asking for your Credit card number then goes on to ask for the telephone mobile number linked to the credit card is making this site blink with red SCAM light. I don't remember any shopping site requiring you to show the phone number that is related to a certain bank credential. Beware of scam.

I placed an order for parts that are/were in stock. One particular part I ordered was in stock at the time of placing the order. After placing the order I revisited the same page of this part and it still showed stock available. Several days later, the date of this comment, I noticed the same page showing "Available for backorder" and the next available stock was nearly one year later. I rang Element14 only to be told I would have to wait a long time to get this part. I cancelled the entire order and will shop with another electronics parts distributor.

There is no point getting angry with the sales/customer service team. They are doing the best they can and they have no power to change things. I am not looking for an apology.

Management up top need to get things together ASAP because Element14 is starting to sink. Not to forget how painfully slow the website is.

Managers, you choose in what direction this business goes 1.) Afloat or 2.) Sitting at the bottom of the ocean

Element14 (customer service from India) hardly notifies their customer if there's a delay until they're being questioned. They are always giving excuses such as stocks have been taken by another customers and items got lost during shipment. They even can't be bothered replying to email unless you called up to their customer service.

2059190RL- First of all they are not able to ship this material, i got that information after one week only when i followed up on the status they tell you we want ship due to restrictions very negligently, ok accepted the issue, atleast refund has to be done i shared the company details they committed to do by April and tell month end issues to refund the order amount that is highly ridiculous, No response for this refund still

Element14 service is bad. They take the order online along with advance payment & rotate the payment for a fortnight for their own use. They then talk of compliance later & need all info on the customer company which is strictly not to be shared as the company GST registration means legal entity with all GOVT compliance.
Experience with earlier Farnell was good.
Worst experience with Indian Element 14.
One of the first entrant in INDIA RS Components supply components from UK warehouse within 10days. They have COD facility too.
With Element14 they do not process the order but rotate our money for 15 days & then share message the refund is being initiated..
Good luck friends don't get trapped by paying money in advance.
