First time I called the taxi company, told taxi will be roughly 10 mins, 20 mins later I called them only to be told no driver in the area and I could be waiting another 20mins, another 20 mins later still no taxi in the area, I ended up cancelling the taxi and walking home in the dark alone, not a good service.

Do not use - especially as a woman alone.

I have now used Atlas Cars about eight times and find them to be very professional. They always respond to my requests for a booking to and from London airports. They are efficient and every driver I have experienced has been on time and very courteous. I highly recommend Atlas and find it strange that some reviews are not so complimentary. Thank you Atlas and I shall continue to use your excellent company with full confidence.

DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS! I booked a car almost a week ago and was quoted just under £35 for the ride. When the driver arrived I told him this so I could confirm everything was ok, only to be told that the fare was nearly £10 more than I’d been quoted; an increase of over 25%!
I called the company to query it, and whoever answered (no name offered) spouted insincere apologies and just kept repeating it. An apology won’t get my £10 back!
The driver, who’d been listening, told me that the management had all changed approximately 4-5 weeks ago, and they were so incompetent and with such terrible employee and customer care that he’d had enough, and today was his last day with this company!
Do yourselves a favour and save yourself some hassle; don’t use these greedy, money-grabbing leeches. Hit them where it hurts, and maybe their practices will improve. They certainly can’t get much worse!

Dangerous + scam. I used to use this company a lot when it was Chequers Cars, and really trusted them then. However, the last three rides with them (which will be the final three rides with them) have put me in direct danger, I have had an aggressive driver shouting at me continuously for 30 minutes, because I got confused about what he meant when he told me to run across a 6 lane highway to use an ATM on the other side (he stopped being abusive as soon as my male partner came to the car when we arrived at my destination, and suddenly became extremely polite and quiet, but spoke only to my partner from that point), and last night we got picked up at Stansted Airport. I was quoted £147 for the trip when I ordered via the app. When we got to the location, I could see on the driver's device that it said £117, so I queried it, but he insisted I should pay £150, and it was 2am after a long journey, so I paid. The receipt I received over email this morning was only for £125, so the driver presumably kept the rest for himself. I called this morning, only to be called a liar - they claim to plan to call the driver to find out "what really happened", but I doubt I will ever hear from them again. Really scary, uncomfortable experiences with them, I will never use them again and don't think others should either (especially women travelling alone)

I would also suggest you read their google reviews, where it's very, very clear that a lot of people have been scammed and put in really dangerous situations.

I was using their cab service first time. I found it amazing because the cabbie arrived me on time at my business meeting. He was polite, helpful and punctual and doing a great job. Services are more economical as compared to other cab companies.

Good overall service, nice cleaner vehicles and well maintained. The driver was reserved but that is OK as long as I am safe. Traveling alone in cabs is not unusual for me but reaching destinations in time is important. Atlas guys never got me down.
