Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it unhelpful, difficult to reach a real person, and often encountering representatives who were hard to understand or provided inconsistent information. Customers also frequently reported problems with the products, such as phones not working, being of poor quality, or not matching advertised specifications. Reviewers also expressed frustration with the staff, citing rudeness and a lack of willingness to help, especially when trying to escalate issues to a supervisor. Additionally, many found it difficult to contact the company, experiencing long hold times, dropped calls, and unreturned emails, which made resolving problems nearly impossible.

They shut my service off with no warning or explanation, just cut it off leaving me with nothing, no reason, no website, no support, no phone number. This company is really Virgin Mobile using T-Mobiles network and there couldn't possibly be a worst company to do business with, beware.

20$ shipping to fix assurance mess

The 3 week old phone stopped holding a charge and wouldn't charge with oem charger assurance gave me. Assurance charged me 20$ shipping to replace old phone. This free phone is now costing me based on other reviews assurance will repeat send another non working phone and this cycle of bad phones is just beginning. I wish I would have known this earlier. I ported my phone to assurance should not have. Now I have an expensive mess to clean up and no phone.

Was hung up on 4 times on 11/1 by 4 of their reps and then put on hold for over an hour waiting for a supervisor. Called back 11/3 and spoke with 3 people to get to a supervisor that lied and backtracked on my replacement phone.
My phone stopped charging called on 10/5/2023 and it was the day before my warranty expired. I was told to pay a $20 shipping fee for a government phone. I paid it and after 3 weeks of waiting i called back on 11/1/2023 to ask where my phone was. I was then lied to about my warranty being expired and they couldn’t send me a phone. I will never recommend this company!

You need Lifeline service to use Assurance

I realize many people have thought Assurance is awful, but in my experience, they're terrific. They've replaced phones for me whenever there was a problem and their customer service people know their stuff and are extremely helpful. I've had Verizon and Apple and Assurance has much better customer service than either one.

LIARS!!!

I would give these FRAUDSTERS no stars if that was an option. I had service with them under the Lifeline plan and went through the recertification process by phone back on 8/19/2023. The customer service rep assured me multiple times that I was recertified and she even said my plan was upgraded to all unlimited (talk, text, data) starting immediately. Then on September 29 they cut my service. Just like that! NO NOTICE AT ALL! Don't waste your time with these lying scammers. There are much better cell companies out there.

HORRIBLE

HORRIBLE! HIDEOUS! If you want a better phone service, just consider standing outside and yelling to whoever you want to call! I guarantee you will get a better result. WHY does the government use crappy 3rd world phones? Why do a bunch of Chinese characters cover your screen sometimes? Points to ponder folks.

Assurance sent me an email saying i need to use my service by a certain date or I lose the service. My reply was, I cant use service if I dont have a phone to use it on and you have failed to replace the defective phone as Ed from Turkey said you would. Ed said it would be shipped September !st and it would be 5g compatible.
it is now over 45 days I have been without a phone and still they dont respond.

No problems with me…

The only complaint I have is the language barrier & that's with all the companies. I've had them for a while now & I seem to get great coverage, no dropped calls, good T-Mobile network. The phone I had for a while started messing up & I let them know & I got a replacement in just a few days with no problem. Now as far as the reviews I read about they turned their phones off etc. I've never had those types of problems, but things happen I guess. I do wish they would give us better phones.

William Bangs fears assurance wireless

William Bangs, u have hrmed me by unfairly cutting off my fonefor 4 months. U have my acp # and all you allow is the broken unusable web site. U have my application , then u dont. T mobile says u er supposed to ontact me. Fat chance. Headquarters of t mobile says it is ur fault . I am legit. But cannot afford the t mobile fone I had to get because of med readmsons. U r unreachable by phone today . Says go to web site or just says goodbye. Want to communicate with actual knowledgeable person in USA. Not poor foreign reps. You offer not a lifeline, instead for us who b compromised and living rural it is a deathline. Have has c ree phone like 20 years, never had such horror. Lies and deceptions . I am sorry that I may use harsh language, but what u are putting .me thru is abominable. And as I expect this will do nothing. U r not there. U can not care. It's not . But they have all my info, just keep saying I'm good, then bad , .

Another Lifeline Provider with Poor Customer Service plus Hidden Fees

It's another lifeline provider with awful customer service (I've been with two so far). Assurance doesn't allow you to bring your own phone. You have to buy one from an approved list. They will give you a free phone, but it's a cheap model that may last only a few weeks or months, and they will charge for a replacement phone if it was broken and not defective. First time I broke a phone, I called their customer service, and they promised to send me a replacement for free that never arrived. When they called back, they then stated that I had to pay $39.99 for a replacement. Whatever, I paid and got the new phone. This one didn't last me four months before it also started falling apart. After going through a nightmare of a customer service experience, the company wanted to charge me an EXTRA $20 ON TOP OF THE $39.99 for a second replacement. $59.99!!!!! Needless to say, I'm done with this company, it's infuriating customer service and surprise replacement phone costs. I don't have the patience for such abuse. It's a free service that isn't worth it.

Insurance wireless is the worst company…

Insurance wireless is the worst company to go to. I had to call them five times twice. They lied to me and said that my phone will be on the way because the cell phone I have broke on its own did not work did not turn on they lie to me and said that is on the way, and they’re nothing but a bunch of liars. This is the worst company to go to even if it’s free. I called back and canceled my account. The only thing they wanted me to do was give them good ratings.
