We have just had solar panels and battery installed by ASK Renwable Solutions and are extremely pleased with the whole process. We had quotes from several providers and chose ASK Renewables who offered the best price and equipment for our needs. Their quote provided all the information to make an informed decision. The work was carried out promptly and diligently by all workers from the scaffolders, electricians and roofers.

Adam didn’t install our solar system. He has been helping us sort out problems caused by the company which did and he has been more helpful than we could have hoped. He explains things in simple terms that we understood and we just wish we had known of Adam’s company when we decided to have a solar system installed.

Our first Heat Pump Service carried out on 5th Feb 2026.
Impossible to fault Ask Renewables from my very first contact with customer service through the service itself and to receiving the completed documentation - I felt that my business was important to them and they were happy to accommodate my requirements.
The guys were on time, they worked cleanly, respected the property, were friendly and professional.
It's also great to see that the business is part of an Apprentice scheme taking the time to train the next generation of technicians!
I know this was only a "bread and butter" service (but none the less still important!) but based on this experience, I wouldn't hesitate recommending Ask Renewable for any servicing requirements or larger installation projects - they are certainly on my radar for the future!

We recently went through the process of getting quotes for a new Solar and Battery installation. Of all the surveys and quotes received we found ASK to be the most professional, comprehensive response as well as being highly competitive. From our acceptance of the quote through refinement, order and completion we were kept in the loop and fully informed. All the team from Scaffolders to roofers and electricians were friendly, professional and efficient. Very pleased with the service and highly recommend.

I cannot praise the company enough from the initial enquiry through to the completion of my solar and battery install they have been amazing. The install went smoothly and the guys that fitted everything were polite, knowledgeable and approachable. I had no qualms about asking them anything I wanted to know. After the install Claire has been great, always pleasant and very quick to get back to me with the answers to any of my queries. I would highly recommend this company.

We contacted Ask Renewable Solutions Ltd via Checkatrade as we were having problems with our solar panels. David came to check the system and diagnosed a fault that was reducing the efficiency of the system. After explaining what options we had to correct the problem we then went on to discussing whether we would benefit from fitting a battery to the system. He checked what figures we were producing over a 12 month period and we worked out that we were producing more solar power, especially in the summer months than we were using so a storage battery would work for us. would recommend ASK RENEWABLE SOLUTIONS

ASK is an owner run buisiness with a clear committment to customer satisfaction at every stage. My Midea 290 heat pump was installed quickly at my request as I wished to re-use the gas boiler in my daughters home, hers being on its last legs. Every member of the team worked flexibly, and effectively to deliver the new system. The heat pump itself is wisper-quiet and unobtrusive, delivering on water and domestic heating in cold conditions. This is the best company we have ever employed to do work on our home. From the very first visit to any follow up queries they have always been professional, courteous and friendly. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with them.
They completed all the work to a high standard and even went out of their way to way to go to a reclamation yard to ensure a perfect match on a few broken tiles which they replaced. They promised they could deliver the project within 3 days and they did ! Day 1 scaffolding up. Day 2 installation. Day 3 scaffolding down.
We would thoroughly recommend them.

I got several quotes for solar and battery installation, I also needed a new roof and Ask were one of the few that could do both at once. Although not the cheapest I think the quote was ok and with them doing the roof at the same time this seemed less hassle. Other firms had requested 30-50% deposit up front but ask said they didn’t want anything till I was happy with the job once it was finished. A fantastic way to do business in my opinion which creates less stress and empowers the customer. The quote itself was for a large system, bigger that anyone else had advised but I am glad I made this choice.

A date was set for the scaffolding and a start date for the roof, estimated time for the work was 2-3 weeks. The roofers were so polite and tidy, couldn’t ask of much more from them. I had grp on a section of flat roof and some resin was spilt on my bi fold doors. They couldn’t get it off cleanly so the got someone to paint them and now they look as good as new.

The system is excellent, and generates way more than I was expecting. It’s October and I’ve only used grid power once for about an hour. Everything about the process was stress free, even any problems we did have were quickly fixed. I would recommend these guys to anyone. True professionals at every stage.

All, we would just like to thank you all for such a great service, which you provided during the installation of both our Solar and Thermal Panels as well as the R290 Heat Pump and new hot water tank.
Your employees were brilliant, especially Adam the Plumber who spent 4 days at our house ,and his work ethic was brilliant, especially when it came to cleaning up!
From Lee's initial contact with us through to Adams Development of the project, and of course, and not least, the professionalism of Claire, the whole process was smooth from start to finish.
Any problems were solved with little fuss, and in general the whole experience was very good.
But you have successfully tranfered a house built in 1780 from an antiquated hot water/heating system, into an up to date  efficient property that is snug and warm with 21 st Technology.
It is a credit to you all. Great service from a great team and a great company.

My wife & I were blown away by how dynamic & efficient the Ask Team have been from start to finish. Within a week of our initial telephone approach, we had 2 site visits, the calculations on our home were completed & a detailed quote with the specification of our air source heat pump & hot water cylinder were received. Plus, they had initiated our Ofgen grant application. Absolutely incredible service, at a superb price too! Importantly, they were all very accomommodating & respectful of our home during the installation & follow-up checks. So, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ask Renewable Solutions as they are a delight to work with & just great positive people.

I have found Ask Renewables to be knowledgeable helpful and professional in all my dealings with them, right from my first contact with the company.
From the initial contact, through the quotes and planning process through to the installation of my solar panels I have been kept informed, given opportunity to ask as many questions as I wanted and not pressured in any way.
The sales team are excellent and the installation team worked quickly and very tidily to get the panels installed and advised me how to use them in less than 4 hours.

I had an Air to Water Heat Pump installed at my home in 2021, the actual pump was fine with no problems at all but the installation of the pump and the fitting of the pipework and thermal insulation was a nightmare. It was identified after someone from HIES who checked it that the orientation of the pump was wrong and the thermal insulation on the pipework was not the correct thickness or had not been fitted at all and the radiator in my Bathroom was undersized, Eventually Mike Kellett "the Professor" at Ask Renewables came to my home to observe what was wrong. He informed me that what had to be done was for the pump to be raised over my Water Butt and sat on a special steel upstand. a few weeks later the workmen arrived and I was told that Mitsubishi would not approve lifting the pump onto an upstand and the pump MUST sit on the floor. The workmen then installed a second Heat exchanger in my upstairs Airing cupboard this additional exchange was not shown on the approved Single Line Diagram and rather they then installed a larger radiator in my my down stairs hall. I have spent 3 years reviewing this with my Insurance my Insurance Backed Guarantee Company who admit hat they know nothing about Domestic Central Heating or Heat Pumps.
We must have clear approved rules, Heat Pump installation is after all Government approved
