While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. Arista Security Firewall blocks new websites

Arista recently took over Untangle NG Firewall. I've used Untangle for many years. Arista changed the look of the GUI, and I found some things were harder to find. However, what is really a deal breaker is their lack of customer response. One big problem is the hundreds of new domains coming to life on my many servers in the United States and Europe. Instead of actually looking at these websites, ARISTA blocks them with their web filter. One of these blocks is for a government related website. We will NOT be renewing our contacts with ARISTA.

ARISTA firewall blocks datacenters.....

UNTANGLE NG Firewall is now called ARISTA. I have used this firewall software for over 4 years to protect our network. We run multiple dedicated Internet web servers in different datacenters, including one in Germany. Within the past few months, we've had problems, not with the servers, but with the UNTANGLE / ARISTA THREAT MANAGEMENT Firewall software.
Instead of the firewall blocking spam from a single offending website, ARISTA coded their WEB FILTER MODULE APP (not just email) to PERMANENTLY block large, corporate datacenters and all the websites in them from being seen by the public (IP Range BLOCKS). This is the equivalent of the State of Florida erasing MIAMI from the map because one person was speeding. ARISTA is using UCEPROTECT3 (reported as a SCAM) which asks people to PAY to be taken off their lists. GOOGLE, YAHOO, and others ignore this SCAM, but you may not be able to get to your own server or website if you use UNTANGLE / ARISTA Firewall and their software. Our medical websites can no longer be reached by patients who use ARISTA. Attempts to whitelist our servers with ARISTA have been useless, and our own firewall now shows "disconnected," even though we paid for a 5 year software license subscription. Attempts to contact ARISTA in writing and by telephone have failed.
