Poor service, rude staff, no compassion, ignore your emails, don’t abide by their own complaint policy, do not trust these with getting your money back! They will just take your money and keep fobbing you off! Out of a £1200 debt, they got back £100 and still not paying me that, despite waiting two years! Maybe I need to contact a reputable debt company to get that money back from this debt recovery company

Had a non paying tenant to the tune of approx. £4000. Paid a fee of £350 and got absolutely nowhere, despite providing the debtor's name, phone number, email, what he did for work and that he did maintenance at a hospital, his alleged salary and other family details.
I may as well have tried myself! Got absolutely nowhere and only got a case number.

I don't know what to do and if this ayom dept recovery company can actually take legal action if u don't pay what is owed to them even know they didn't tell me it was gonna cost £210 to get £500 of dept back i cancelled the application then I found out how bad the reviews were on here and now I don't know what to do as they are threatening me with adding more fees on if I don't pay in the next 14 days

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by your agency. Typically, I am not someone who would take the time to write a review, but when my financial situation is affected, I feel it is necessary to share my experience rather than remain silent.

I was recommended your recovery agency, and unfortunately, that recommendation turned out to be my biggest mistake. I paid an upfront fee of £8,250 for your agency to start working on recovering a total of £55,000 owed to me by debtors.

To summarize my experience: After paying the 15% upfront fee, I received a few emails, but then there was nothing for months. I waited patiently for any updates, but after approximately 8 months with no progress, I decided to withdraw my case and take it to another agency. However, when I attempted to follow up, I was completely ignored.

As of today, March 17th, 2025, I have sent numerous emails requesting a full refund, as no work has been done on my case, yet I have received no response whatsoever.

I have reported this company to the Financial Ombudsman and have now entrusted my case to a legitimate company that is actually working on recovering my funds. It is beyond frustrating to deal with a company that has taken my money and provided no service, all while refusing to communicate.

Shocking company who I have been trying relentlessly for the past 3 months for communication......nothing. Bunch of charlatans. Money collected on my behalf which should have been paid back to me, but these muppets are obviously keeping the funds in their high interest accounts. Standard response will be that they will pass this to the relevant department !!!

I am having to use a debt collector to retreive the money they owe us, they do do not respond to emails after months of sending them.

Submitted a small claims court and they responded saying they had sent out a cheque however have never received anything, the customer service has been appalling throughout and have been waiting for our money for 18 months so far. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I came across this company whilst I was searching about CCJ for a tenant who left without paying £2000 in rent. I made an initial phone call but the staff kept emailing me and calling me to submit the details. They said they will only take 15%. In the end, I sent off an application online. However, I was uncomfortable with the lack of formal documentation / proof of the money owed and decided to cancel the application. I tried calling them within a few minutes of submitting but there was no answer. I sent an
Email within hours requesting cancellation. They replied that they have cancelled. 2 weeks later, they sent me a cancellation invoice for £357! This company is a scam. I would not trust them with your data. I am taking this matter via the legal route. Public need to be aware of their malpractices.

AYOM is a complete scam! After ignoring my emails for months, they finally responded—not to return my £400, but to falsely claim I now owe THEM £256!

🚨 Red Flags:
❌ Zero transparency – No breakdown of where my money went.

I will be reporting them to the Financial Ombudsman. DO NOT trust this company—they prey on customers instead of helping them!

AYOM replied to my first post 13th Jan 2025 asking for my client ID email and telephone etc. I gave them all this and concise details of the monies they took from our clients that still owed to us.
I still have not got any money or answers to my complaint. They do not even follow their own complaints procedure and just ignore you.
Avoid this company at all costs....

It seems to be a theme here, contact for the first week around payment time, since then despite requests, I have had no solid proof of any action other than a nasty text from the people who owe me money asking why I set debt recovery on them, so I know there has been some contact.

Contacted these guys to recover money owed to me from a local "boiler breakdown" company. I provided every single bit of evidence I had, including a full report from a real plumber I had to call out in order to fix the fire hazard the boiler company created.

AYOM were very attentive for the the first week after I paid them and then the contact disappeared. They never returned my calls and never replied to my emails. I could log into the portal showing they were calling this boiler company every day, then it was downgraded to emails and eventually I noticed that had nothing for months.

After 4 years of chasing them for any kind of response, they just sent me an email saying "we don't understand what the problem is, but the client will have to get expert advice and take them to court himself" and that was the last contact I ever had with them.

Avoid this company at all costs.

They recovered the money from the debtor in July 2023 and have since held the money in their accounts, despite numerous calls and emails I have received no response. Their call handlers cannot discuss the claim with me and today I have been informed that 'collections cannot answer questions, new business cannot answer questions and customer service only responds via emails and have no telephone number'. I have no other option but to seek legal advice at this point.

I wish I had read up on this company before using them. They received the money owed to us 4 months ago and have not paid it over to us. I have emailed them multiple times and am just being ignored. It is harder to get the money from them than the original company who owed us the money. I will never use them again and would warn anyone else against using them

Most untrustworthy company I know. Promise everything, take you money and do nothing they have promised. Completely ignore and side step any complaints without issuing details to escalate further.
APPAULING and do not deserve trading licence.
AVOID AT ALL COST..!!!

The worst company ever big talk no progress 5 years on stupidly gave them money to reclaim debts on previous tenants not a penny recovered or any updates unless I ask

I instructed the company to recover debt. It’s been a long time and I haven’t been paid for the debt yet. I also email but no response.

UPDATE AFTER 10 MONTHS:
I engaged this company to recover a debt on my behalf, and it has now been nearly 10 months with no payment received. Despite several attempts to follow up via email, I have not received any response. This delay is concerning, and I am disappointed with the lack of communication and resolution.

This company is one of the top scam english companies on the market.
Top of ignorance, rud customers service, and no chance to get recovered money in standard way. They have no any standards.
