Stay clear, Asked a question and he lost it. don't give him your money

Drove one hour up to look at a Europa Caravan with my young child. Rang the man (Kevin) first, he was very dry on the phone so I kind of already had an impression of what I was in for. Arrived in the yard and the son who worked there was 100%. showed me inside the caravan and explained a few things as I am a first time buyer. The Owner Kevin approached me and we agreed on a price on the caravan which was basically sticker, all good. then out of nowhere starts raising his voice saying there is zero guarantee with the caravan once it's sold, I said no problem as long as I see all electrics are working before I leave with it. asked him about a line of black mould/possible damp in the the inside of the bathroom and he completely flipped. out of nowhere started roaring at me standing with my young child and stormed off swearing about hating selling caravans. disgusting behaviour from anyone never mind a business man selling to the public.

Stay well away from this absolute…

Stay well away from this absolute fraudster, selling campers to honest people down south where the campers are patched up to appear roadworthy, selling campers that have serious damp & roof defects, the minute you ring him then he blocks all phone numbers & contact with you, a horrible horrible scum of a person. Stay well away, ignore positive reviews, they're all fake I dealt with in person, he is a dishonest scumbag.

Very disappointed

I bought a caravan from Kevin around April. One of the steadies broken told me he ordered a new one. This never materialised had to get it fixed myself. I had 2 issues with motor mover and electric blow heating system. Kyle his son said he would get me booked in which never happened either. There was a canopy awning on caravan which stated on receipt no guarantee with it. When we opened the canopy it was broken so I'd say Kevin already knew it was broken. He seemed such a decent person but sadly I have found out he is not.

Knowledgable and professional.

Needed a solar panel fitted to my motorhome and a new leisure battery fitted. Gave Kevin a ring to arrange fitting and was glad to find out that it could be done the next day. Very knowledgable and professional and was able to answer any questions that I had regarding the Motorhome. Solar panel and leisure battery fitted to very high standard would recommend to anyone. Will definitely be back in future.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. Kevin is a real jekyll and hyde, can be so nice when trying to sell to you, but as soon as he gets your money, he is the most vile excuse of a human ever. Showed my husband a load of stuff that would come with the motorhome but we never got any of it. Told us it had recently been serviced and a new timing belt fitted. Thankfully, we left it in for the once over before going aboard as it turned out Kevin had lied, it hadn't been serviced and the timing belt badly needed changed. Went to open the overcab bed window and the whole window came off. Turned out Kevin had swapped 2 of the windows out so we had to replace them with the right windows. We ended up having to spend about £1000 within the first month of having the motorhome. Kevin didn't want to know about any problems and the language, name calling and abuse I had to take from him was horrible. I honestly don't know how this man is still in business as everywhere you read about him it's just the same story over and over about how nasty he is.

BUYER BEWARE

Don't really know why this guy is in this business at all.
No customer skills, rude and arrogant. Was viewing motorhomes when who I presumed to be the owner approached me. Went into particular motorhome first thing I noticed was just inside door floor was very springy and spongey could feel covering leaving the floor. he told be would be alright in a couple of months.
Was put of at this stage as it was quite obvious something not quite right with floor. My wife mentioned would need a bit of work He said what do you mean, Was pointed out a lot of cleaning and the front driver seats needed re upholstered. grubby tattered and threadbare. Said why would you up do that go to sell it again other people wouldn't like it. Asked what we had before, was told a 2008 caravan which we just sold in excellent condition. He said I'm sure it was I'm always told that, This will be sold in a couple of weeks and stormed out of the motorhome.
To sum up not a nice experience, very unpleasant individual once he got the feedback of what we didn't like about the motorhome and wouldn't consider buying. Motorhome over priced for the condition and mileage.

Buyers Beware

Buyers Beware
I had the misfortune to purchase a camper van from this business on January 2022 for £35,500. When we visited the premises a week before, Kevin Anderson led us to believe that the vehicle was in good condition and fully serviced. As the stated price was in line with similar vehicles sold in the UK in or around that time, I paid a deposit and completed the purchase of the vehicle a week later, when he would have had time to prepare the vehicle. When purchasing the vehicle, he informed me that there was a 3-month warranty with the vehicle and if there were any problems to come back to him.
When I was driving the vehicle from Limavady to my home (some 70 miles) I became concerned that the window washer fluid reservoir was empty in, what I was told was, a recently serviced vehicle. The vehicle had also not been properly cleaned. Because of these concerns, I asked a trusted garage to check the vehicle and they reported that, despite Anderson’s assurances, the vehicle had not been serviced ‘in a long time’ and that the engine was almost empty of oil. Without informing him of the reputable garage’s report, I contacted Anderson and asked him directly if he had the vehicle serviced and he insisted that it had. I subsequently asked him to take the vehicle back and he refused but invited me to allow him to sell it for me. When I read the reviews by previous customers, I realised the type of individual I was dealing with and decided not to accept his invitation.
Because of my growing concerns I decided to also have a habitation check carried out on the vehicle by an accredited company before taking the matter further. As there was a waiting list for appointments this check could not be carried out until April (within the warranty period). During this time the vehicle was not used and was stored under cover. The habitation check revealed several issues, including safety issues related to gas but of most concern was that the Camper van was structurally badly affected by damp, to a degree that major corrective and expensive work costing more than £8K will have to be carried out. Some expert opinions were that the vehicle should not have been sold in this condition and if it was, the buyer should have been made aware of it before completing the purchase. As the Camper van dealer who allegedly serviced and checked the vehicle, Anderson must have been aware that he was selling a defective product and, in my opinion, was deliberately deceiving the buyer.
Anderson presents as an affable and friendly individual when initially conducting business, but prospective buyers should exercise extreme caution in doing business with him. My experience, confirmed by reputable dealers, was that having an expert examine the condition of any vehicle purchased from him before completing the purchase, would be advised. In every case all these professional accredited companies expressed no surprised that he was the vendor, in fact one actually guessed it was him unprompted. Based on my experience with Anderson Camper vans, I would respectfully advise any prospective buyer to exercise extreme caution in dealing with this man and, if I had known then what I have since learned about him, I would have given this company a very wide birth.

Drove 450km to view a motorhome which Kevin told me over the phone was 100%. When I got there checked motorhome saw some damp on walls. Checked with my damp meter which was 48%. Kevin then shouted at me to get into my car and leave presumably because i had exposed his lies about the condition of the motorhome. Dont go near this garage he's a conman

Lost £5000 pounds on a camper we had for 8 days

On the 24th of June my wife and I purchased a campervan being sold by Anderson Motorhomes. The campervan was priced at £60000. Mr Anderson offered £20000 part exchange for our campervan leaving a balance of £40000. Before paying a deposit of £2000, Mr Kevin Anderson assured us that there was no issue in us importing the camper into the Republic of Ireland, that things were the same as before because of the Northern Ireland protocol. I explained to Mr Anderson that there would be a delay in being able to complete the purchase because I was organising my personal pension annuity. Mr Anderson said that wasn’t a problem, as long as I kept him informed. When we got home, I checked what was the position and became concerned that it may be liable for VAT @ 23%. My wife and I went back to Mr Anderson on the 30th June and raised this with him, he again said there was no issue with importing the campervan and that he would check what was required and supply the documentation confirming the campervan had entered Northern Ireland before 31st Dec 20. At that we accepted Mr Anderson’s assurances. On the 10th August I emailed Mr Anderson letting him know about the delays and asked him to confirm the documentation was in place for us to import the campervan without being liable for VAT, he confirmed he had a purchase invoice showing the campervan entered Northern Ireland before December 31st 2020. It took until 25th August for me to receive the pension payment. I collected the campervan on the 28th August paying the balance of £38000. Mr Anderson gave me a copy of a purchase invoice made out on his own paperwork assuring me that it was all that was required. On inquiring with and showing the purchase invoice supplied to the NCT who deal with importing vehicles into the republic, (which took several days to get an answer) I was told they also required a copy of the ferry ticket showing the arrival date. I contacted Mr Anderson, but he wasn’t able to supply the ticket. I asked him to refund our money and return our campervan, to which he said he had sold our campervan that morning. I told him he had left us with a camper we couldn’t register in the North and couldn’t afford to import into the Republic (it would have been around €30,000 in VAT & VRT), he said to give him a couple of days. About 10 minutes later Mr Anderson phone me back, saying that he had spoken to the person who had purchased our campervan, explained the situation and had cancelled the sale. Mr Anderson said he would take back the campervan, but would retain £5000 because of his loss of profit. We felt we were left with very little time and had no other chose but to agree. I returned the campervan to Anderson’s on the 8th September, he wasn’t there. I emailed Mr Anderson regarding the returning of the campervan, saying that although I apricated that he had held the campervan he was selling us for a couple of months, but that the only reason we had returned the campervan was because he didn’t supply the necessary documentation as promised and therefore it was unreasonable to retain the £5000. Mr Anderson didn’t acknowledge my email. I sent him a second email and posted a letter, which he has also ignored.
I regret the day I ever set foot on Mr Anderson’s premises and would recommend driving past, be warned, if you do decide to deal with Anderson’s. Take nothing he says on trust, get everything in writing

Not a good experience

I bought a Campervan from Anderson Caravans. It was supposed to come fully service and with a 3 month guarantee. On getting it home it was obvious the van hadn't been serviced as I had to make a number of repairs to the habitation part of the van. My own mechanic later told me that the filters hadn't been changed. On my first away trip a window blew off and whe I took it to a repairer he showed me that another window was in danger of falling off and another one tha needed an urgent repair. I messaged and emailed Mr Anderson with no response but he did eventually respond o my phone calls and after some negotiation he paid for one window. The van drove well and I thought my problems were over but with less than 2000 miles under my belt the clutch started slipping. When buying Mr Andersn told me that if anything went wrong he would still see me ok. Sinc It was obvious there was extensive wear before I bought he van I phoned him and he agreed to pay for labour if I paid for parts. I agreed. When I phoned him back he said he would pay for parts if I paid for labour. I again agreed thinking anything was better than nothing. He said he wanted to get a price for the part and ensure it was a good quality part and asked me to phone back. I phoned a number of times and he told me he was waiting for a call back from his man. After a number of further calls h told me he had bought about it and wasn't paying for anything. I started to remind him what he had said when I bought the van and he hung up on me. Interesting approach to customer care. Can I assure any reader ha at no time did I raise my voice or say anything that could be construed as rude or offensive during our telephone conversations.
