They should call it America’s Worst
They should call it America’s Worst. I called before my appointment to verify any costs and acceptance of insurance. The staff was abrupt and rude and the doctor that did the exam didn’t even look at my eyeglasses to get a baseline prescription from. Needless to say both prescriptions for contacts and glasses were not usable or correct. Tried to get reimbursed and that was a nightmare as I was told there’s no customer service in America. You will be routed to a Third World country and nothing will be done to satisfy your problem. Save your time and money and go to Warby Parker or somewhere where they treat their customers as valuable.
Horrible lens quality
The lens quality on the glasses is absolutely horrendous. There were other negative things about the employees but those are secondary to the fact that my lenses were absolutely destroyed within 3 months. Totally unable to see through them with what look like fractures and scratch marks all over them. I have anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating on them. The employees tried to blame it on me saying that the fact that I had used a handful of the glasses cleaner prepackaged wipes on them must have destroyed them. Again, these wipes were specifically for glasses and given to me by my mom who uses them on her glasses everyday with no issue...Lots of back and forth arguing and they agreed to replace the lenses since I had only gotten them three months before. Well the replacement lenses were destroyed just as fast and I did not use a single pre-packaged wipe. I was incredibly careful with them so that I knew I didn't do anything that would damage them. Only the lens cleaner I bought at the store and very soft glasses specific cloths. I keep them in a case and have not rough with them. The coatings are completely removed and there are what look like hairline fractures and cracks all over the centers of both lenses. I have other glasses that I bought at Costco and an online retailer at the same time or before and none of them have any issues whatsoever. I would never ever buy glasses at America's Best again. It's unfortunate because I like the frames but I really don't want to go in and argue again, especially knowing they'll just be destroyed in a couple months again anyhow.
Location in Avon, Ohio
The location in Avon had great customer service. Debbie and Jacob were great. Everyone was very warming and kind.
Don't waste your money here.
Don't waste your money here.
I got lured in with one of their two for one eyeglasses specials and ended spending way more after they explained why I needed to.
But that wasn't the real problem.
Both pairs of glasses have this terrible fish bowl effect I feel like I'm going to fall down stairs! I also need to ride my bike occasionally to commute and I would never dare with these I'm afraid I would fall.
When I finally got in to see if they could adjust the glasses the woman clicked on the computer and basically said to get lost I was 'expired'.
I'm still wearing my old glasses from BEFORE I went into America's Worst
Complete waste of money and zero for service
Fixed my frames
Isabella at the Clairmont location fixed my bent frames very quickly and they looked and felt good as new!! Great experience here :)
Janaf shopping center in Norfolk
Janaf shopping center in Norfolk, Va is the worst place Ive ever experienced in a business period! This is the worst eye glass company also. I was given the wrong prescription twice, my glasses were supposed to be scratch resistant, glare resistant, and insured is what I PAID FOR! My glasses are scratched up, the glare from on coming traffic is in my eyes, and I got no help with this but attitude from employment here. I will NEVER return to this company or location, and I RECOMMEND NO ONE GO TO THIS COMPANY OR LOCATION. THEY ARE RUDE, AND DONT GET YOUR PRESCRIPTION CORRECT, AND REFUSE TO FIX THE ISSUE.. I highly suggest TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSE WHERE!!!!
I was an optician for over 10 years.
I was an optician for over 10 years.. this was truly the worst experience ever! They put me in contact lenses that I couldn't even see out of and they let me leave with wearing only one and that one wasn't absolutely clear either.. cannot get in touch with the doctor after you have your tele doc experience no doc on site.. cannot be reached again when you come back you don't even see the same doctor which is virtual.. the tech on my second trip didn't know how to work the equipment I got hit in the face by one of the heavy metal pieces of equipment left a bruise on my nose.. it was horrific left there with only one lens working.. doctor did not listen to what I was saying put me in something that was overly prescribed.. and to communicate with staff they do not listen nor do they have any power to resolve issues.. save your money save your insurance and go to my eye doctor.. this location Lincoln Way East Chambersburg is absolutely awful America's Best is one of the worst establishments I've ever been to
Absolutely ridiculous: Don't waste your time and money
Absolutely ridiculous. Appt. at 12 noon. and was waiting for almost 2 hours to get new glasses. They did not have enough people in sales according to gal in the front. She could not cash me out because she didn't know how to. Went to get someone and they were busy while others on lunch. Not enough people. Lady before me was there for over 2 hours and had to leave like myself. So she rescheduled. Paid 69 for finally someone was ready to see me after almost 2 hours then tried to tell me to pay for more and more and more. Bait n switch is an understatement. I am going back to my old eye doctor because I thought why not try someone new less than 2 minutes form my job instead of driving almost 1 hour and 1/2 to my dr. office I have had for more than 20 years. Well that was a mistake. So, I asked for the corporate number, finally got through for the man to tell me the store manager will call me back because she is busy in the store, so I asked can I be connect to DM or email or something and all the CS rep was able to give me was their name nothing more. SO, now I paid 69 wasted bucks for NOTHING but misery. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!!! I was stupid for even trying someone new.
Amazing crew
Amazing crew! From Rajani at reception, Marie the optician, Khadijah the assistant manager (an amazing help!) and Gina the GM. Not only did I get an awesome pair of glasses, but they helped me over and over again when I needed them resized. So thankful for this crew!!
Receptionist is extremely…
Receptionist is extremely unprofessional. Was more concerned with wrapping up in her silly rug rats coat then helping customers. Witnessed her yelling at customers and acting very immature. My wife and I won’t be back.
AMerica's WORST eyeglasses
I had an enraging experience w/ this company, America's Best eyglasses
I've renamed them, "America's WORST"
(If I have the occasion, I will go out of my way to deter any other person from patronizing this rip-off company.)
I ordered two pairs of glasses and when I received them, the plastic lenses were very heavy; both, sliding down my nose constantly, as well as showing a weird rainbow'd effect that made my eyes appear bulbous!
I returned to the store for possible re-glazing of the film to correct this and was given lip service.
When I asked why they were so heavy I was informed that there were different levels of quality to order and the price differences to accomodate that.
SO, basically I was NEVER informed of the FACTS that the buy one get one deal only came in HEAVY, GLARE reflective lenses nor that if I wanted a decent pair of lighter weight Non reflective lenses IT WOULD CO$T me a lot more!
I contacted the company directly and was informed via email that someone would contact me to remedy my cause for complaint! THat was months ago, NO ONE from America's WORST has ever done so.
America's Worst
I recently decided to try America's Best for my eyewear. I was a customer of Pearl Vision and decided to try America's Best. I made an appointment and the eye exam was good and the doctor was very good and explained everything to me. I then was assisted by a store associate in choosing frames. This was also a decent experience. I was told my glasses would take about 2 weeks to come in. On Tuesday 11/25/25 I received a text message from America's Best telling my my glasses were in and to come and pick them up. Included in the text was the store hours. The next day I left work early to get to the store early (assuming the store might close early). I arrived at 3:30 pm to find the store closed at 3:00pm. I then went to the store on Friday to pick up my glasses and spoke to the person who was at the counter and I complained about the fact that the text did not indicate that the store was closing early. I was advised that the text was sent by the corporate office and that they did not have control over the text. The manager (Levittown NY) came over and advised the same information. I was very upset and all I was told was that the store had no control over the text messages. I then said, "so this is customer service" and the manager gave me a "look" and again advised that the store had no control over the text messages.
The person at the desk gave me my glasses, and that was it. I then asked if this was it and I was told yes. I was very disappointed and asked doesn't the store check to see if the glasses fit or if the prescription on the lens was good. I was told that they did not do this. I am highly disappointed, when I picked up my glasses at Pearl Vision the store would check to see if the glasses fit correctly and then check to ensure that I could see correctly with the new prescription. Well this will be my first and last visit to America's Best. The level of customer service when I picked up my glasses was appalling and the way your manager treated is reason enough to not return to your store. In addition to the customer service the quality of the glasses feel cheap and the eyeglass case is cheap plastic.
I will be returning to Pearl Vision next year.
Poor attention to detail, terrible customer service
Bent frames when I picked up. Store tried to adjust, didn't work. Wanted entirely new frames, store refused. Do NOT waste your time and money with this amateur company.
Poor lenses quality
Frame quality and purchase process was amazing. Lens quality of progressive bifocals was beyond poor. I totally recognize bifocals are a learning experiance but these lenses have huge amounts of fuzziness around all the edges. And nope, nobody will talk to you when you go back. Gotta make an appt they say. I can see where this will end up. Me out of money and getting new lenses made at a better provider

I ordered Pair eye wear from America's best in New Lenox. I am so very happy with these glasses & the customer service i got from Americas best 100! My helper was Heather S. (New Lenox location she is awesome and she well trained in her position. A huge thanks for you well trained customer service ..
THANKS HEATHER S...
Took six weeks to get half of my order
I ordered two pairs of glasses online on September 14th. This was after I thought I completed an order on September 7th, but it didn't go through so I had to start over. They cancelled one pair September 24th. Why? I have no idea, there was no explanation in the email they sent. Don't bother trying to email customer service, they won't respond for weeks. When I got someone on the phone at customer service, he had no explanation either. I didn't receive the one pair of glasses they didn't cancel until October 21st. By comparison, I ordered a pair of glasses from Overnight Glasses on October 17th (Friday) and they also arrived on October 21st.
I paid extra for scratch resistant had…
I paid extra for scratch resistant had my glasses seven months and they’re all scratched up and I take care of them. I make sure I wipe them when the lenses are wet. I called the store to see if they would order my glasses without me going down there and then when they get in, I will bring my glasses. They said no they have to see them to see their scratched before they order them.
I spent about $370 on eyeglasses at…
I spent about $370 on eyeglasses at America’s Best and left with a prescription that simply did not work for me. The glasses and frames felt low-quality, and I ultimately had to switch to over-the-counter reading glasses to function day-to-day. I expected better quality control and follow-up support for the price. Ripping me off my hard earned money
STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROUP!!!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROUP!!!! I bought my glasses less than 3 years ago. They have a one year guaranty. The lenses started deteriorating around less than two years. They progressively got cloudier and I noticed whatever film was on it started having micro cracks around the edges. WORST QUALITY LENSES! I am 73 years old and have worn glasses for most of my life. They may be cheap but the glasses quality is horrible. DONT BUY ANYTHING AT THIS LOCATION!!😫
