The film inside the plastic conservatory roof was installed long enough ago that I have experienced its effects in both hot and cold weather and am happy that it has ameliorated the temperature, and glare, in the conservatory, so that it is more useable than before. It still gets hot but nothing like it did before and it still gets cold but with much less condensation, so it was money well spent. The installation went well and I have no hesitation in recommending the very organised and helpful Darren.

Darren is amazing, he is honest and very professional. He was a pleasure to have in our house whilst he worked. I can not recommend him enough! 5 stars!

Darren from Smashgard was thorough, polite and very professional throughout our order. His communication with us was excellent and he delivered as promised on the date we booked (even though it was extremely hot) he still turned up every day on time and worked solid, without needing to enter the rest of our house. He was very friendly and never pushed us for anything, a true honest tradesman. We had the 2 ply film fitted to all our windows and this has made it a usable room all year round, no more extreme heat or glare, and we have the added benefit of privacy from the outside, meaning we dont have to have blinds up. His workmanship is excellent and he was very particular when installing them. He also was extremely tidy. We would 1000% recommend him, and the best part was it was miles different in price to alternate roofing options.

Darren was the most perfect professional installer from the moment we made contact from our home in Cornwall. Clearly some distance from base Darren arranged to visit and install around other commitments whilst in our area. Darren gave us a laymans understanding of what different films might achieve and choosing was therefore,for us, made with confidence and attention to detail and workmanship was first rate. A man of his word and completely honest and trustworthy.

Darren at Smashgard installed a specialist film to the glass roof panels in our large conservatory (6m by 3m) to cut down on heat and glare. He proved himself an absolute perfectionist, taking the time to ensure that every single one of the 22 panels was perfectly fitted. He worked cleanly and efficiently, quietly getting on with the job over a day and a half, and he made sure the conservatory was spotless before he left ... I was so impressed I immediately asked him to apply the same film to the bifold doors on our sunroom and some upstairs windows too! Highly, highly recommended.

Very good communication before installation. Darren was punctual, polite and professional. We are absolutely delighted with the results. We invited our next door neighbour to come and see the results…she was so impressed she is having her windows done by Darren next week! We would 100% recommend Smashgard Window Films to everyone. Firstly darren gave some excellent advice on the best type of film we should use on our lantern windows to reduce glare whilst maintaining light on a north facing aspect
His installation was done with care and attention showing a pride in what he does which is unusual in todays world

Our recently installed one-way privacy film exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, appearance and expert finishing. We originally just intended to have the film applied to our patio door, but because the results were greater than anticipated, we also chose to have the privacy film applied to all of our rear windows, which gave us the same aesthetic appearance, and significant glare reduction.

Our conservatory was unusable in the summer, with temperatures reaching 40C.
We where thinking about a custom blind installation and air conditioning as with a baby on the way we need all the space we have, and during summer the space was not usable by adults let alone a baby.
Since the installation we now have our house back. We can eat dinner in the conservatory and spend time in there now. Its great.
Darren & Lynne where great throughout the whole process and we are very happy with everything. We have already recommended it to family as they have seen what a great job Darren did, and what a great product the 2ply film is.

Great looking film. I ordered the natural look film for all windows on a newly purchased flat.

The whole process from ordering to fitting was very easy and the film was fitted very professionally without any fuss whatsoever.

The film cannot be seen from the inside but really improves the security from the outside.

From the point of order to completion was done in a very professional and friendly manner. Darrren came bang on time and worked tirelessly all day and left no mess when he finished. He explained the difference in films and we are very pleased with his recommendations.
