I am now using a new laptop computer, and did not know how to get Allavsoft running on it with the license I purchased some years ago.
I made a request to Allvasoft Support very late Saturday evening and immediately got an answer at 0:00 Sunday which worked perfectly for me! I could not have asked for more

Responsive Support!!!

I tried the video downloader and liked it so much that I bought it. When I had issues with the software David was very responsive and helpful, all in a very timely manner. Bravo!

Like other apps for downloading music from Spotify you need to give your Spotify account credentials: account name and password.
After downloading a few songs your Spotify account is blocked after which you receive an email from Spotify to reset your password. The same happens over and over again after downloading a few songs.
Finally, your Spotify account will be closed by Spotify.
Of course, you may download songs from a free Spotify account. But remember that also your free Spotify account will finally be closed. So, you lose all your playlists and have to open a new Spotify account and start with new playlists from scratch.
Hence, all this download software for Spotify is only useful for free Spotify accounts you open only for the purpose of downloading songs, but not for accounts with many playlists you want to use for a long time.
If you don't want to get the problem with Spotify closing your account please go to a download website where you don't need to give your Spotify account credentials, so that Spotify can't detect you.

Update on 13 November:
According to Allavsoft I'm talking about other software.
Just read the other one-star reviews which describe the same problem with Spotify.
To make things clear, I'm only talking about Spotify. This software might work perfect with other websites and apps. I never tried this as I only need software to download my Spotify playlists.

Program works great to get videos

I bought this software primarily for use with Spotify. It used to allow downloading of Spotify tracks but for over a year now it has not worked. I have contacted the developer who has not fixed the software.
To make things even worse, the software requires you to enter your Spotify username and password (which is not required by online alternatives such as spotifydown.com, so I don't know why Allavsoft requires this). After doing so, my account was compromised and I needed to reset my password to prevent other people using it.
Therefore I consider it a waste of my money and cannot recommend it.

I have been using Allavsoft for many years and on the rare occasion that I have a problem, their online response is immediate and they always have a solution. I had a recent, very complicated problem, too complex to detail here and the answer was one that I would not have found myself, ever ! If you want to save or download any online video, particularly YouTube , Allavsoft is the answer.

Allavsoft is the best video downloader I’ve found and I have tried many over the past decade. It enables downloads from a huge range of sites. And it provides outstanding support.

I have been using this excellent software since it first started in 2014 and have successfully downloaded thousands of videos from multiple streaming sites.

The software is fantastic. It is fast, reliable and very easy to use. It provides all the download and conversion options one needs. The downloaded videos are of a consistently very high quality.

Best of all is the ongoing technical support provided by the Allavsoft team. From time to time, a site I subscribe to has changed its technical specs. Whenever this has happened, I have contacted David at Allavsoft. He and his team have always come up with a speedy solution.

They have also been great in supporting particular areas of interest to me on request, from premium classical music sites to major public library audiobook sites.

The reason I use this software is to enable me to watch videos offline, because my internet has not always been reliable.

Allavsoft is the only software site I have felt moved to review, out of appreciation for their outstanding service. I recommend this software without reservation.

I want to provide this testimony: when I had a problem recently, I contacted the Allavsoft team. It was extremely efficient: immediate response, several very attentive exchanges of emails, and rare patience on their part... Finally, after searching and experimenting, it turned out - to my great shame - that the the problem was not in the Allavsoft app (which works really well) but on my side: I was using a conversion url (.m3u8) which was not good! Therefore Allavsoft couldn't transcribe it, but it was only my fault! I just want to confirm not only that Allavsoft provides me with incredible and amazing daily services, but that the team that helped me is absolutely astonishing in their efficiency and kindness! THANKS Allasoft!

As all software has limitations but overall very happy with it.would recommend.

My experience with Allavsoft is quite long. About 4 years. In this time I never had problems with it. Fast downloading, maybe one of the fastest. Even for 4K moovies. And the fact that it keeps a memory of all of your downloadings is extremely useful, preventing you from downloading the same stuff twice, even if years had passed, and you totally forgot it.

when i download videos from tiktok they download videos with tiktok watermark even i talk to allavsoft support to solve this problem but still they can't solve this problem.

I've always used allavsoft and I really like it. In the new update, I bought the lifetime license, but the songs are not downloading, neither from YouTube, nor from Spotify. I paste the URL of the song in the correct box, but the download doesn't completet. Can you help me, please?

I am a computer dunce and have had several occasions when I needed help reinstalling Allavsoft. Each time, support has provided the help I needed, usually within an hour or two, even on weekends!
Once I did ask late at night and bought another copy in something of a panic, knowing I needed it ASAP without fail, and not sure if my Lifetime License covered my need. As it turned out, my Lifetime License did cover me, and in the morning they voluntarily offered me a fast refund for the unnecessary purchase, which I gratefully accepted.
The product itself is invaluable; I am sure I have already used it hundreds of times. It's worth more money than it cost. Thank you Allavsoft.

Allavsoft product is great. When I have had some minor issues the support I rec'v is very impressive. Highly recommended !!

Absolutely brilliant bit of software. Allavsoft have to be one of the top companies when it comes to customer service. Resolved a problem which was customer error, eg me. David and Allavsoft are top class for being so patient and helpful.

Great software for recording and backing up most recordings from video or music. Just like the old days of hitting play and record :-)

Repeatedly fails to facilitate downloads from specific sites. Web search states Allavsoft is suitable for downloading from most popular sites. It is not. Updated regularly but fails to address basic issue. Support answers with generic responses and if they don't work, tough luck. Refund only available within first month. My advice is to avoid....

useless. save your money. no service

The software works flawlessly and is intuitive. It's updates regularly and is an essential addition to my setup.
The customer service is amazing. Super quick response and extremely helpful.
