Appalling Customer Service: 2 Months Waiting for Damaged Baggage Claim
I am writing this review to warn other passengers about AJet's incredibly poor customer service and baggage claim handling.
Both of my suitcases were rendered completely unusable during my flight, and I immediately filed a damage report (DPR GVAVF10377). It has been exactly two months, and despite countless emails and phone calls, I have received absolutely no compensation, nor any concrete update regarding my file.
Their customer support is a complete loop of automated responses. During my last phone call, the representative blamed a "system error" for my inability to see the claim status and promised a text message update. Instead, I just received the exact same copy-pasted email again. The Baggage Tracking System simply shows the file is "forwarded to the relevant department" with zero actual progress. It is obvious that they are just stalling and have no intention of resolving the issue.
Because my luggage was destroyed, I have had to postpone my upcoming travel plans, causing me significant distress and financial loss. AJet's total lack of corporate responsibility is unacceptable.
Since they refuse to handle this professionally, I am now initiating legal proceedings in Switzerland, where I reside, and will be exercising all my rights under the Montreal Convention.
Save yourself the headache and avoid this airline if you value your belongings and your time.

I bought ticket from Jeddah through Ankara to Berlin. It was very cheap so I was bit hesitant but all went well.
On time, quite comfortable seats, nice staff, decent food on board. My family enjoyed it a lot.

Well, after the really bad reviews by others... mine is 100% genuine and positive. I made a flight ticket purchase via 3rd party from DXB to SAW, should have been flying on 11th March 2026. Booking.com was the travel agent but without my knowledge they have passed the ticket purchase through "gotogate". They both denying responsibilities and were dare even in writing! (it's an evidence now) claim that the cancelled flight refund is not their responsibility and I can get the refund only if I directly contact the airline, AJet. I just did call the airline. And what a delightful conversation I had! I was speaking with the cancellation department. But first of all, I could call a UK number. Time is now 22:13, yet, the call was answered within 2-3 minutes. I could get to speak with a human being straight away! No nonsense, no stupid AI either... The gentleman name is Sami. He was a clear English speaking professional, highly informative, knowledgeable and very helpful. When so many passengers are stressed out beyond control and so many flights cancelled in the middle East, a customer service agent with cool attitude is worth a gold. It is not AJet fault that they are not able to resolve my refund, this is 100% down to the named travel agents and shame on them, both (booking.com and gotogate) are liars!! I will deal with them separately as they deserve. Hopefully one day I can repay the kindness and helpfulness and I will be able to fly on AJet.

I consider myself fairly philosophical about budget airlines but after skimming this review hell, for the first time ever, I bailed on my AJet booking and re-booked with Pegasus (Izmir to Istanbul).
The AJet app isn’t fit for purpose and they’d ignored all my emails. Red flag right there.
Pegasus = smooth and easy from start to finish, for a little bit extra ££.

The worst airline I have ever flown with and I have flown with a lot of bad ones. During my first flight they brought the British police on the plane to take a passanger out after he had boarded and checked in for a seat he had paid because they overbooked the flight and some chairs were broken. During my second flight, the flight was cancelled due to snow and rather than booking us a hotel, they took us by bus to another location 3 hours away and gave us no water or food. After 6 hours of delay once we boarded our plane they made us wait in the plane for at least an hour to forcibly give us food. However, they brought food for only half the plane and made us wait an additional half an hour to bring more food that no one asked for. I hope to never fly with them again.
Refund Request for Cancelled Flight

This morning I purchased a flight ticket for £76. Shortly afterwards, due to an issue, I decided to cancel the booking.
Before cancelling, I checked the system and it clearly showed that I was eligible for a full refund, so I proceeded with the cancellation. However, after cancelling, I only received £29 back.
I paid using Klarna, so I contacted them first thinking there might be a payment issue. They advised me to contact Ajet directly. When I explained the situation, I was told that a full refund is only possible if the ticket is cancelled within one hour of purchase.
However, my purchase email and my cancellation email show that the cancellation was made almost within that time frame. There is only one hour and one minute between them.
If there is such a strict one-hour rule, then why did the system clearly show £76 as the refund amount when I cancelled the booking? This is extremely misleading.
Based on the information shown in the system at the time of cancellation, I expect to receive the full refund of £76.
I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue as soon as possible.

I had a very disappointing experience with AJet. My flight from Sharjah to Istanbul on 24 July 2025 was delayed by more than five hours, which forced me to stay overnight in Istanbul and incur additional expenses for accommodation, transport, and food.
AJet later informed me that they would compensate me with 400 EUR and confirmed that the payment had been transferred on 24 September 2025. However, the money has never arrived.
Over the past several months, I have sent dozens of emails, provided bank statements, personal information, and every document they requested. My bank (N26 in Germany) has officially confirmed that no such transfer ever reached my account and that there is no trace of this transaction in the payment system.
Despite this, AJet continues to insist that the payment was made, while refusing to provide a verifiable transfer confirmation that includes the IBAN and transaction details. They also refuse to initiate a proper investigation with their bank.
This situation has now been ongoing since September 2025, consuming an unreasonable amount of time and effort for a payment that should have been simple to resolve.
The customer service responses are repetitive and unhelpful, and the issue remains unresolved after months.
I strongly advise travelers to be cautious. If a problem occurs, resolving it with this airline can become extremely difficult and time-consuming.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. My daughter has autism and got lost and she asked them for directions. They were very aggressive with her. She had a massive meltdown and cried the whole flight. We had previously flown with them before but never would again. Even if they compensated me, I would not set foot in their plane. It has such a...toxic culture. You can sense the misery. It's obvious they don't treat staff well who takw it out on paying customers. Absolutely unacceptable. They also refused a disabled girl to board their plane though she had a medical report. Absolutely inhumane. It's a state backed company so staff members are on a power trip. Absolute bullies and toxic. Even the passengers are horrible. Fly with Pegasus instead. They are privately owned so they care about your experience.

Today I want to praise AJet for their TRIPS both, from Cairo to SAW and from SAW to Hannover (HAJ). Check in in Cairo was fantastic without any problems, although I expected some hick ups as I booked 40 kg of luggage, but their system showed this right away. PRAISE towards their system. Basically: AJet Turkey delivered excellent service—friendly crew, smooth process, and a very comfortable flight. But then I missed my flight to Berlin.
It was easy to book a new flight. I redirected my luggage with the new flight but unfortunately (I think due to customs investigation in Turkey - during Transit?) but ok. They send me my luggage to Hannover three days later, but I was not available any longer in Germany. AJet Agents sent me my luggage PROFESSIONALLY and ATTENTIVELY to Bern Switzerland. Excellent Service in spite of inconvenience. EXCELLENT HANDLING AGENT in HAnnover "AKS" in Hannover and in Zürich were constantly informing me of the whereabouts of my luggage. All "my valuables" arrived safely. The customes had sealed the luggage in Istanbul. SAW. Thank you Turkish Gümrük, not kidding. Thank you.

Am 04.03.2026 hatte ich einen Flug von Istanbul nach Sankt Petersburg mit AJet. Leider war meine Erfahrung beim Boarding sehr negativ.
Das Personal am Gate war extrem unhöflich und hat uns in einem sehr aggressiven Ton angeschrien. Uns wurde vorgeworfen, dass wir zu viel Handgepäck hätten, obwohl wir jeweils nur einen kleinen Rucksack dabei hatten.
Trotzdem wurden wir gezwungen, 100 € zu bezahlen. Uns wurde gesagt: „Entweder zahlen oder nicht fliegen.“ Wir hatten also praktisch keine Wahl.
Besonders schockierend war, dass sich einige Mitarbeiter anschließend noch über uns lustig gemacht haben. Ein solches Verhalten ist absolut unprofessionell und respektlos gegenüber Passagieren.
So eine Behandlung habe ich bei einer Airline noch nie erlebt. Für mich wirkt das wie reine Abzocke. Ich hoffe sehr, dass dieses Verhalten überprüft wird, damit andere Passagiere nicht die gleiche Erfahrung machen müssen.
On March 4, 2026, I had a flight from Istanbul to Saint Petersburg with AJet. Unfortunately, my experience during boarding was extremely negative.
The staff at the gate were very rude and shouted at us in an aggressive tone. They claimed that we had exceeded the hand luggage allowance, even though each of us only had a small backpack.
Despite this, we were forced to pay €100. We were told: “Either you pay or you don’t fly.” So we basically had no choice.
What was even more shocking was that some of the staff later made fun of us. This kind of behavior is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful towards passengers.
I have never experienced such treatment from an airline before. To me, it felt like a complete rip-off. I hope the company reviews this behavior so that other passengers do not have to go through the same experience.

Buna rağmen bizden 100 € ödememiz istendi. Bize “Ya ödersiniz ya da uçamazsınız” denildi. Yani aslında başka bir seçeneğimiz yoktu.
Daha da üzücü olan şey, bazı çalışanların daha sonra bizimle alay etmesiydi. Bu davranış kesinlikle profesyonel değil ve yolculara karşı saygısızlıktır.
Bir havayolunda daha önce böyle bir muamele görmedim. Bana göre bu tamamen bir para koparma gibi hissettirdi. Umarım şirket bu davranışı inceler ve başka yolcular aynı durumu yaşamaz.

I had a very disappointing experience at Van Airport related to an AJet Premium ticket. After our flight to Istanbul was cancelled due to weather, the handling at the airport was very poor. The staff at the counter could not communicate in English, and I had to find another passenger to translate basic information.
Despite paying extra for a Premium ticket, there was no clear support, guidance, or priority service provided. The information given about refund options was also unclear and did not match what is advertised for Premium fares.
Overall, the experience at the airport made an already frustrating situation even worse. I hope the airport and airline improve coordination and customer service for international passengers.

I took a flight with Ajet on the 4th January and they missed bringing my luggage for 3 weeks. I called their team asking what I can do and they advised me to order the essentials and I will be reimbursed for my luggage. After a tedious process of 2 months of back and forth they have now denied my claim advising that they dont pay anything for delayed luggage despite being advised otherwise by their team for 2 months straight and being encouraged to order items and that I'd be reimbursed.
Absolutely disgusted with Ajet and I would advise anyone never to use their services.
Will be escalating this to the aviation authorities.

keulen to istanbul sabiha gokcen to erzincan 2 flights with no problems with our bagages after a week we returned from erzincan back to sabiha gokcen we had to take 1 flight to keulen we did our check in at erzincan everything was ok they our bagages were perfect me and my little sister had 4kg underseat bagage and my mom had 4kg underseat and 8 kg hand bagage with no problem we flyd from erzincan to sabiha gokcen istanbul we were at the gate waiting for our next fly when this women Sevinc Salci memur came and told us we dont have any kg bagage while we did have she forced to let us pay 200euros well we didnt agree with it she started shouting so loud infront of everybody and said that i used an bad word so she ripped our tickets 3 tickets while the other workers already had checked our bagages and said it ok and perfect but this women said we dont have any kg so she kept screaming at us the whole time then she said only the mother and the little daughter can go flying but to me she said you cant go, im 17 i cant go alone i dont have papers to fly alone im under 18+ then we asked who is the boss she screamed its me then we asked who is the manager she screamed saying its her but its not her. she kept screaming to us stop filming me while we werent filming her she said this 4-5 times while we didnt even open our caleras to film at that moment we were really stressed out the next dzy we had to work so we needed to get in the flight she didnt allow us and took half our tickets we stil have the other half ripped tickets it was my first time flying with my little sister and mom and last with Ajet never want to fly with them the fly attent are always really nice but this women sevinc salci they need to do somthing with her cuz she does this to everyone we are not the only one with this she also screamed infront of everybody to my mother “ you should have raised youre kid better then this woulndt have happened” but she was lying about our bagages and we wont pay 200 euros for no reason do somthing with this women.

One of the worst airline and worst staff i had travelled from london Stansted to jeddah and returned from jeddah to London Stansted but unfortunately in ankara Turkey they denied boarding for 5 persons i was with my wife and three children including with special needs child they just closed the gate and at boarding counter we had boarding pass with us i spoke with them 35 minutes before departure but lady was there can not speak English and did not allow us to complete our journey, later I went to a jet office in the airport even they can not speak English and left us standard on the airport plus my bags was broken and my valuable items was missing when I contact here in uk they said we can not do

My first problem I experienced this negligent company was when I booked a ticket and there was a stop in Istanbul so they provided the first leg of the journey but cancelled the second and were reluctant to issue a full refund as I was heading back from Saudi Arabia to London. The second experience happened today I used alternative airlines which were very good and understanding however AJet didn’t even notify them of flight cancellation could you imagine. I didn’t receive any email or correspondence from AJet or Alternative Airlines, I got to the airport and was told I can’t even board the flight due to conflict issues in Saudi Arabia which was utterly ridiculous because neighbouring countries were affected but not Saudi Arabia. Joke of a company never use them for travel NEVER!!!

I would give this “airline” 0 Stars, but thats not possible so I give it 1 Star. This is the worst Airline I have ever taken in my life. It was the first and definitely 100% the last time. They make you big problems when you have 0,5 kg to much and dont just let you pay. They send you to other people and tell you they know about you, but when we were there nobody knew anything. Taking so much time we lost our flight. Nobody wanted to pay us or even help us. The help point from Ajet was always empty and no one in sight. I am very angry and disappointed, because it was so unnecessary and clearly their fault!!!! Also the turkish airport SAW ist terrible and i will avoid it forever. You will find no help, no information and no support anywhere!! Only very very rude stuff, who screams at you for not understanding turkish and dont speak english!!!

À l’aller (Lyon → Turquie), nous étions à la porte d’embarquement. Nous sommes allés brièvement aux toilettes situées juste à côté. L’avion est parti sans nous. Au moins 7 passagers étaient dans la même situation. Aucune gestion sérieuse à la porte.J’ai découvert que mon billet retour était “inactive” uniquement parce que j’ai contacté AJet pour une question concernant le transport d’une guitare!
La réponse à ma question sur la guitare incluait une phrase indiquant que mon retour était annulé car je n’avais pas pris l’aller.
Sans cette demande, je n’aurais jamais su que mon billet était annulé!!
Je l’ai découvert uniquement car j’ai contacté la compagnie pour une question concernant une guitare.
Service client inefficace : longues attentes, demandes répétées d’envoyer des “feedbacks”, aucune solution claire et concrète.
Manque total de communication et de considération pour les passagers.
Je ne recommande pas cette compagnie. A FUIR!!!

Very poor experience with AJet.
For my outbound flight (Beirut → Turkey), we were physically present at the boarding gate. We briefly went to the restroom located right next to the gate, and the aircraft departed without us. At least 7 passengers were left behind in the same situation. This reflects very poor boarding management.
Even worse, I never received any notification that my return flight had been automatically cancelled due to a “no-show.” I only discovered this because I contacted the airline regarding a question about traveling with a guitar.
Customer service was unhelpful: long waiting times, repeated requests to submit feedback forms, and no clear solution provided.
Lack of communication, lack of support, and lack of responsibility toward passengers.
I do not recommend this airline. AVOID THIS AIRLINE!!!

One if not the worst airline company’s out there! Rude staff and pretty much will extort you for your baggage! Don’t take this airline! It might seem cheaper prices but the service is awful, untrustworthy and you will end up paying the difference.

I am posting this to document my experience clearly.
On the day of travel, I was first told that my connection was “at risk” and that I may not make it. I explained that if any delay caused a missed connection, the airline would need to provide re-routing.
Following consultation with a manager, I was then informed that the flight was cancelled. This statement is recorded.
Relying on that information, I accepted a refund and arranged alternative travel at significant personal expense.
I later discovered that the flight had in fact operated (it was delayed, not cancelled), and tickets continued to be sold. When I called back, I was informed the flight was delayed rather than cancelled.
The discrepancy between what I was told and the operational reality resulted in approximately £400 in additional costs.
This matter is under formal dispute. I would strongly advise passengers to independently verify flight status where possible.
