I've been extremely happy with Airwallex and particularly my Customer Support lead Sarah. She has helped negotiated better payment processor terms, knows what needs we have as a business and is always on top of our account! Airwallex is my favorite neobank having tried them all at this point!

Do not use this bank! Transfers get lost/dont arrive

Do not use this bank. They lose your transfers; they state 0-1 days. They have LOST a transfer of salary to MYSELF. It's been over 8 days, and it's an automated response. You cannot speak to anyone except via support email, which is honestly AI responses FOR A FINANCIAL institute. This is unacceptable.

Use Revolut Business or your standard business bank accounts.

Context: something has CHANGED with Airwallex. I have been using this account successfully for 6 years - despite slower transfers than other bank accounts. They do usually take 1 full business day to arrive to regular contacts. NOT OVER A WEEK with no answer to where my money is

Fraud alert

This company is fraudulent. I never used their service because they did not verify my identity even though I submitted my information multiple times. I therefore did not complete the sign-up process. Despite that they have charged me for several months of plan fees for a service I have never been able to use. I have contacted them to close my account but they refuse to refund me and they will not close the account. They are still charging me for something I never used. Please be aware.

My account is blocked

My account is blocked. Couldn’t pay salaries. Escalated to assigned RM. She mentioned support will help you. Also mentioned we are too small a startup for her time and directed customer support to help me. Escalated. No response from escalation as well. 16 hours later my funds are still in pending status. Old accounts suddenly do not work and I cannot receive money and i’m losing credibility in front of my staff. If you’re a startup founder while it is easy to open an account with them NEVER be tempted. You’ll be stuck with them. Go for a traditional bank or aspire. stay away from this atrocious business. As they say in Texas, “they are all hat and no cattle”. Just like Arsenal they’ll start well and fumble later when they really need to step up. No wonder it is a match made in heaven.
FOUNDERS: stay away unless you’ve raised millions. But if you have raised millions then also stay away since their yield products are limited. So yea, much ado about nothing.

Refused without any reason.

I had a legitimate business. I already successfully created a business bank account in UK and 2 bank account with Wise and Revolut.

I needed another bank account because of moving residence and asked with them.

They refused without providind any reason with a cold mail who just say that they could not provide the reason and the reason is unchangable.

Ii successfully found that many people online had the same issue. Refused without even giving a reason, often from AI.

Don't waste your time with them, there are more famous and better alternatives.

I set up Airwallex account for my jewelry company riyanikajewels and initially I faced some issues, but Bianca and Sarah both were really helpful and I could reach out to them anytime of the day. Their support has been great and. I would recommend any new entrepreneurs who are looking for a payment gateway for their e-commerce startups to get an Airwallex account. Extremely disappointing experience with…

Extremely disappointing experience with Airwallex.

My account was suddenly terminated without any clear or specific explanation. Despite operating a legitimate business with zero disputes or chargebacks, I was treated as if I had done something wrong, without any transparency or support.

What is even more concerning is that my funds have been withheld for 180 days, again without proper justification. For a financial institution, this lack of communication and accountability is simply unacceptable.

Customer support has been unhelpful and unable to provide any meaningful answers. As a business owner, this kind of situation can seriously impact operations and cash flow.

I strongly advise other businesses to be cautious when relying on Airwallex. A payment provider should support its clients, not put them in difficult situations without explanation.

Very disappointing and stressful experience.

Great local support from the Airwallex…

Great local support from the Airwallex team. The platform has a really effective AI Assistant that helped me self-service through an API problem (operator error). Regardless the human support team was onto my ticket and were ready to assist. Early days but the Banking as a Service platform looks full featured and well documented.
