We visited the Edinburgh bar on Frederick Street.
We ordered what we thought were starters along with a burger and buttermilk chicken however everything arrived together. When I queried this we were told "sorry everything comes together". Well, it would have been good to tell us that when we ordered.
Bon Bons were nice as was the King Prawn pil pil. The Burger was....a burger. It was fine, but it was dry, and would have benefitted from more sauce. The Buttermilk skewers were also dry and could have done with more creme freche.
The bill came to £65 which included a service charge of 12.5% which could not be removed on the tablet we received to pay on.
All in all, it was OK (what can go wrong with a burger?) but it certainly was not memorable and, now we have visited, we will not be returning.
Competition is fierce in Edinburgh and we both felt this place will not stand the test of time unfortunately.
Eagerly the 4 of us entered into the newly opened bar in Harrogate town and after waiting quite a while a waitress took our order then after what seemed an age … we had to ask if there was any chance of service.
The team didn’t know what there was to drink or how to use the technology.
We Ordered two beers and Irish coffee and a cocktail. The Irish coffee we had to tell them how to make and it came in what can only be described as a mug and tasted disgusting. The two beers took an age to arrive. And the cocktail well that cost a fortune over £20 for a cocktail is ridiculous.
If the service and the price is anything that people are interested in then whatever you do don’t go to this place.
