However this did not happen but when I called the company we arranged later in the week for the work to be done as no survey needed

1st call Glazing repairs

Toeing and healing of a bifold door,

Saw an advertisement on Facebook, gave them a call, they asked me to send a video of the problem,
The fitter arrived punctual and polite,
He took a look at the problem, popped the beading out, inserted a packer in place, refixed the beading, and tapped back in,
Job done, the door has never opened so effortlessly,
Very pleased with the result,
The cost of the repair was a £125,
£75 upfront, and balance on completion,

Everything about him was awful. Do not use!

On the website it says no call out charge, then when the man showed up at the door he was very rude and made up prices, everything about him made me uncomfortable, I got a bad vibe right from the beginning on the phone, I should have stuck to my guns and not let him into my home. All that was needed was to take some coins out of my machine and he charged £110 after lying about the call out charge. As soon as the machine turned on he claimed to know exactly what was wrong with it despite refusing to tell me what he needed to fix. No customer service whatsoever. All he did was drain the machine and take the tray out and he charged £110!!! THIS MAN IS A CON DO NOT USE HIM !!!

Freddy is rude and incompetent

Freddy is rude and incompetent. He is a complete fraud who will charge you double of the 69 Pounds that he initially quotes when you call him. He charged us 149 quid and the machine broke down the same day after he left.

Total cowboy/ rip off merchant

Total cowboy/ rip off merchant. Similar experience to the 2 previous reviews - turned up after saying it would be £69 to come and fix the machine (door wouldn’t open), plus parts on top.

Having arrived he then popped the door open with a screwdriver and said it would be £180 for parts claiming it was a very expensive washing machine. Without even describing what parts were needed. We refused to do that and questioned his clear attempt to take us for a ride and refused to pay £69 for the fact he had put a screwdriver in the door and got the machine open.

At this point he said there is something he could do - he then removed the broken door handle and gets the machine working again (minus handle). Gave him the £69 and then I looked up the broken part online to discover it costs £15 from amazon, not £180. Also found a YouTube video of how to change it, so will do myself!

Avoid this guy - absolute cowboy!

Misunderstanding about the price

Website says 'no call out charge'. Phoned the guy, said there's a problem with the pump (error code 03). He says £69 to fix.

Comes out, admittedly on time, and says £169 to fix. £69 to come out and tell me what the problem was and £100 for parts and labour. When I questioned him he tells me I misunderstood him on the phone and knocks off £20. On the hoover website I see that the part is less than £30 - assuming of course that it actually got changed and not simply fixed.

So don't misunderstand the website - call out charge is £69 and then you get charged parts and labour - double what I was expecting in my case.

Avoid this cowboy like plague

The chap came 2 hours late. And then tried to extort £140 from me for draining a washing machine. He claimed the pump was defective and it needs replacing. When I said I would be foolish to spend £140 to repair a 5- y o machine when I can get a new one for £300, he became abusive, and said his call out charges are £69 which I have to pay anyway!! Despite my reminding him that he had said nothing about call out on phone and had quoted a fixed price to fix the problem, he still insisted that I pay him £60 just for lying to me that the pump was broken. When I steadfastly refused to pay him anything, he then repaired the machine in 2 minutes, no motor replacement, nothing. I paid £60, as agreed, but the experience of dealing with such a crook leaves a bad taste. Avoid this chap like a plague.
