Review of Quickbet

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Had to take legal action to receive winnings

I placed a £10 sports bet with QuickBet which won, returning £300.

After requesting withdrawal, QuickBet closed my account and withheld £290 of the winnings, refunding only my stake. They alleged a breach of terms but provided no evidence. The betting rules in force at the time explicitly stated that if an account is closed, all placed bets remain valid and profits will continue to be paid out.

Despite repeated complaints and an ADR referral, QuickBet maintained their refusal and relied on amended terms introduced after my dispute arose. A Subject Access Request later showed my winning bet recorded as valid, with a £290 “fee” applied to remove the winnings.

Only after I issued a civil court claim did QuickBet change position. Rather than paying through the court process, they initially sent me a private settlement agreement requiring my signature on every page, including confidentiality and release clauses, in exchange for payment of the winnings.

I refused to sign any such agreement. Within hours, the full amount claimed including court fees was paid into my account.

Draw your own conclusions.

If you win with this operator, be prepared to take them to court to receive your payout.

Thank you for the detailed review, Harrison.

After your complaint was submitted, the case was reviewed again internally. Following that review, a different decision was reached and the outstanding amount was paid to you.

While I don't agree with all characterisations made here, it's fair to say that the matter was reassessed and resolved.

The vast majority of withdrawals are paid without issues, but I do appreciate you outlining your experience, and I'm glad this was ultimately brought to a conclusion.
Kind regards, Ebba!
