Disappointed, I ordered the puffin design wine glass. some of the birds have bits missing ie feet or parts of. As this was for a friends 70th birthday I wanted a quality gift. If the etching was completed (does not look like it on this glass) it would have been a nice gift, as it is I don't think I can give this for a special birthday.

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We were very surprised to see this, as you didn’t contact us at any point to let us know you were unhappy. If you had reached out, we would have been more than happy to take a look and help.
All of our wildlife designs, including the puffins, are created by us and engraved with very fine detail. The small gaps you may be referring to are part of the original artwork and are intentional elements of the illustration. They aren’t unengraved areas or a fault in the etching.
We take a lot of pride in our work and have produced thousands of glasses without any issues of this kind, so we’re confident the engraving you received was completed as designed.
If you’d like to send us a photo directly, we’re still happy to take a look and discuss it with you. Our goal is always to make sure customers are pleased with their purchase, but we can only do that when given the chance.
I dont know if i'm doing something wrong, but there is still a lot of seed on the ground after feeding. I do get loads of Starlings & theyIi am sure are managing to empty the feeders, as they did with my old ones. The food left on the floor is too much to be pecked up by others I have to sweep it up & throw it away - terrible waste (& of money). Are Starlings meant to be able to feed from these? So far I am no better off with food waste & in the pocket. Just unsure if there is something I've not done right, I have looked through some of the reviews - no one seems to mention Starlings, as much as I love them, they are masters at emptying any feeders I put up.

Dear Sarah
Sorry to hear this, as Starlings are a protected UK songbird and in declining the numbers, the feeder will slow them down but not stop them. If you do not wish to feed them you will need our cage accessory which can be found here:
I don't know how much is down to Sykes or owner of holiday cottage, but the following are comments for reference. The cottage was on a busy road we we had expected, the garden therefore was not as secure for our dog as I would have liked so she could not be left out alone (painful). There were two fly traps I personally found offensive (1) a sticky strip - cruel & unsightly the other a hanging outside trap - the smell it gave off was like a rotting carcass & maggots appeared (we put this in the bin on collection day). There was no hairdryer, but thank you for providing when I informed this. The lounge smells we bought 2 x scented candles & an air freshner but still it lingered, I think the sofa upholstery was the problem- dirty, the cushions had old dirt marks on them which looked bad ( I would have binned them). The cottage itself had the lovely features like the roll top Bath, good showers etc but was let down by avoidable things as previously commented. Whilst there the Sold sign appeared maybe this is why there's some neglect as owners selling up. Ps- the garden was also very neglected & full of rabbit droppings. This won't stop us booking with Sykes. We've mainly had good holiday accomodation/experience & putting this down to owners lack of interest due to selling up. Thanks for help with providing a hairdryer (this was stated as being in the cottage, but wasn't). Regards Sarah
