If it's free you are the product.

I was given information on this offer for free indie cinema tickets, apparently on market research basis but after signing up I felt increasingly uncomfortable with the sheer amount of data harvesting involved. Also, to bring a guest entails yet more data harvesting, which seems incredibly dangerous since almost every small business falls victim to data breaches. There is no way to delete an account via the Cinematik website. I am currently dealing with an AI chat bot having no human interaction, no email address or phone number for a company that wanted every bit of information about me. Ridiculous.

Terrible customer service

So far I've had good experiences directly with sellers but whether it's a language barrier or just sheer ineptitude, the customer service experience is shockingly bad. I've gone round the houses for days now requesting what should be a simple database fix. So far I've spoken to three separate agents and it's just gibberish cut and paste responses with literally nothing to do with what I'm asking. I will never save my credit card on their database nor anything more than the most basic info, it's clearly not managed well on the back end at all.

Freely given food not wasted

It seems I'm an outlier but my experience with IKEA orders is usually good and with a quick call to customer services the few times I've had an issue it is quickly sorted. I was very pleased in my own local branch to see short dated food was marked 'free to take' in the grocery area. In a time of food poverty and also excessive food waste, it really struck me how rare it is to see a company do this simple thing instead of binning the lot.

A criticism, delivery charges on furniture orders. Everyone else has a threshold for free delivery and I'm sure IKEA can build this into the business model.

A beautiful birthday

I have to commend Alwan for coming through with a beautiful carved gift box of birthday sweets and snacks that arrived just in time. I reached out with specific delivery requirements and the whole transaction was flawless so everything was still fresh with no delays. My only regret is that I didn't buy an additional box for myself, the presentation was gorgeous.

Dead on arrival

I'm very frustrated because two out of three rose trees I purchased in March have died by May. My order was very expensive and I honestly don't hold out much hope for the third tree either. All flowers and bulbs purchased from other vendors for my front and back gardens have thrived with such vibrant weather but not so much as a leaf came from Gardening Express plants.

Buy local. Boycott Starbucks.

Very happy to have a coffee shop alternative to the big box American brands and in my opinion selling a better cuppa to boot. I will say though in Scotland anyway the Edinburgh and newly opened Silverburn Glasgow location can be a bit shambolic. Having an allergy l would also very much like to see labels on the cup to make sure my order is made to order correctly. Using the app for takeaway the staff are never quite sure if it's oat or not, because they are rushed and there is nothing to refer to. Also the takeaway cups for ice drinks are laughably flimsy. Clearly the business is taking off so I hope upgrades will follow.

Spammers

As another reviewer mentions my order shipped quickly but considering I did not make an account and definitely never consented to a newsletter I'm extremely frustrated with the multiple emails I'm receiving daily and even more angry that customer service response was that I needed to wait 28 days for my complaint to be processed before the emails would stop. It's a massive misuse of my details and I will not use YouGarden ever again.

Review of Gupta's - Indian Sweets & Savouries

Quick customer service

An Eid order arrived damaged and I reached out, finding vegan sweets is difficult at the best of times. Despite the hectic holiday Gupta's promptly sent a generous replacement which was so kind. The desserts are also lovely and moist with the right amount of sweetness.

A more manageable Scottish winter

I switched to Octopus as soon as I moved house, tired of the mainstream Scottish provider that is far less transparent about bills and tariffs. I'm aware there are no 'good guys' in this space but I feel more in control of my options and despite spiralling costs and corporate greed I do feel that my household has managed to keep costs manageable better than we ever did waiting for the quarterly sword to fall with other providers. As long as Octopus remains open and transparent, I will remain a customer.

More fun, less waste

Having read some questionable reviews online I had been hesitant to join VC but I've been a member for a couple of years now and have had mostly good interactions. A couple times items had been sold off platform so never shipped and that's disappointing but I've successfully purchased both designer and luxury goods with ease, including a vintage Birkin. While I haven't ventured into resale I'm a happy customer.

Lacking customer care

As mentioned by other reviewers the returns process is disappointing, though it's my legal right to return Rustoleum sent me a laundry list of requirements and even requested photos as 'proof' of original condition for a delivery I had only just received. The company ships through Amazon so returns labels should be provided yet are not. I will not use nor recommend the brand going forward which is a shame since I went out of my way to get Rustoleum in particular for renovation.

Censorship

I question the integrity of any company that blocks users so aggressively from leaving negative feedback on the website about purchases and experience. I have had a very straightforward review knocked back twice. Had I only had good things to say I'm sure my review words would be posted with haste. And this is why no one can trust company owned website reviews. They are heavily moderated to skew the truth.

Total BS

Like the rest I'm caught in an endless loop with these scammers. Tonnes of excuses and mournful emails but the result is the same, of course the offer will never pay out. I have reached out to Groupon who I'm sure are paying these fraudsters handsomely to drive custom to the website but truth be told I would have never dealt with some two bit cowboy outfit in the first place had I known they had no affiliation whatsoever with reputable companies.

Gluten and seed oil free

I took advantage of an offer for new users and am so glad I did, it was the perfect start for me to try delicious gluten free options. I'm still working through the very generous portion but so far it has been delicious and I have recommended this bakery to others. So glad that it's also seed oil free, delightful attention to detail.

Yet another cowboy outfit

Not a UK company, must be some sort of dropshipper as the customer service is nonexistent. I've spent a whole week trying to get their spam to stop after never opting in to receive it in the first place. Fake information, fake live chat and fake phone number. "Support" is just an auto response that is never answered. Avoid.

I no longer trust Trustpilot.

Fittingly review on Trustpilot will be for the service itself, which clearly has no interest in critical or negative reviews. I have been harassed for a whole year after leaving an honest rating for sehabags who uses ebay to shill fake replica bags. Ebay took swift action but tellingly, trustpilot drags their heels. Time and time again trustpilot's 'integrity' team has given sehabags opportunity to exploit a clear loophole to have real reviews removed. Maddening that honest customers have to fight their corner to tell the truth on a public platform but website owners who don't like it can just game the system.

Good service does still exist

In seeking out treats for my dog that promote dental health I happened upon Betty Miller. The company had exactly what I'd been looking for at very reasonable prices. My first order was probably mishandled in the post so the biscuits were crushed but a message to customer service sorted the issue with no quibble and now my dog will be a happy customer for life. He loves his new bones and looks forward to them daily.

Rubbish. I will avoid companies using in future.

Just another automated company with zero customer service. UK forms of identification on the website include drivers licence yet with every attempt I was unable to complete which severely hindered my account on a different platform. No response to any email queries. Insane that a company dealing with sensitive data is such a failure to the end user.

Spamming constantly

I have been trying to get this company to stop emailing me for an entire week-no response to email, no response to GDPR complaint, no resolve by clicking "unsubscribe" on the numerous emails I am suddenly receiving since new year. I have not purchased from Moda In Pelle in almost a decade and certainly never will again seeing as how my rights to privacy are clearly unimportant to the brand.
