I have been a PayPal customer for over 10 years, and this experience has completely destroyed my trust.
Zara received my returned items — there is clear proof of delivery — yet PayPal still closed the case in Zara’s favour and allowed them to keep £107 of my money.
This has nothing to do with “not liking the item.” The return was completed correctly and the merchant already has the goods. Holding a customer’s money after a confirmed return is unacceptable, yet PayPal chose to ignore the evidence.
What makes this worse is Zara’s well-known reputation for refund issues, which PayPal seems happy to overlook. Instead of protecting the buyer, PayPal sided with a large retailer and dismissed my case without properly addressing the facts.
Buyer protection means nothing if PayPal refuses to act when proof is provided. After 10 years of loyalty, I am done. I no longer trust PayPal with my money

Beyond bad customer service.
Zara has had my returned items for some time now — they received them, they know they have them, and they know the items were never worn. Despite this, they are still refusing to refund me £107.
This is not a small amount of money, and it is shocking that a company as large as Zara would hold onto a customer’s money while already having the items back in their possession.
Instead of issuing a straightforward refund, they are creating unnecessary drama, delays, and excuses. This is completely unacceptable and feels intentionally obstructive.
A company of this size should not be behaving like this. Keeping a customer’s money after receiving the return is unacceptable, unethical, and incredibly frustrating.
I can prove the items were returned and received, yet I am still being ignored. This experience has destroyed my trust in Zara.
Avoid unless you’re prepared to fight just to get your own money back

This company will do anything to avoid taking a return.
What should have been a simple process turned into excuse after excuse, delays, and pointless responses clearly meant to discourage the customer. This isn’t a mistake — it’s a pattern of behaviour.
Customer service is defensive, dismissive, and completely uninterested in resolving issues properly. Instead of standing by their products, they push customers until they give up.
I refuse to support a company that operates like this. The item has been donated to charity, which is a better outcome than dealing with this brand again.
Shop elsewhere.

I love John Lewis but I am very disappointed with John Lewis customer service. For such a large and well-known company, the level of communication is extremely poor.
We struggle to communicate because of strong accents and limited English proficiency. I am a foreigner, and clear communication is very important but unfortunately, I cannot understand the agents properly, and they do not understand me either. This leads to constant miscommunication and unresolved issues.
Customer service should make things easier, not more stressful. I expected much better from a company of this size and reputation.

I am extremely disappointed with the recent installation of my worktops and backsplash. One of the backsplash pieces was fitted incorrectly – upside down, with the pattern running in the opposite direction. This is very noticeable and looks completely wrong.
What makes the situation worse is that the installer was aware of the mistake but chose to continue rather than informing me that the stone had been cut incorrectly and a replacement was required. This is unprofessional and shows a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
Instead of being honest and resolving the issue, the piece was knowingly installed, and no corrective action has been taken. I was even told the company claimed the pattern was “meant” to look this way, which is simply not true. The stone was cut the wrong way – vertically instead of sideways.
I have asked for the incorrect piece (70x75) to be replaced or refunded, but so far nothing has been resolved.
This whole experience has been frustrating, dishonest, and extremely disappointing. I would strongly warn others to think twice before using this company

I bought a full kitchen from Magnet and it has been a disaster from start to finish. The dishwasher arrived without hinges, the splashback was fitted the wrong way round, and weeks later nothing has been resolved.
Instead of fixing problems, Magnet blames the customer or pushes everything onto third parties. Their idea of “customer service” is excuses, delays, and zero accountability.
I spent thousands of pounds and was treated as if my concerns didn’t matter. If they can’t handle simple issues can Not trust company big disappointed
