I would like to formally express my serious concerns regarding your company’s policies and recent service experience. First and foremost, I find your KYC requirements excessive and unreasonable. I do not understand why it is mandatory to complete KYC verification before being able to purchase services. I placed an order, and even after more than five hours, there was no progress on the server setup. Upon inquiry, I was informed that although I had completed my personal KYC, my business KYC was still pending, and therefore my order could not be processed. This situation is particularly disappointing because the payment has already been collected, and I have been told that the amount will be refunded only after deducting certain fees. This is highly unprofessional. Furthermore, I would like to highlight that I am not a new customer. I have been associated with worldstream platform for the past 8–10 years and currently maintain multiple servers with this company. Despite this long-standing relationship, I am being subjected to the same stringent requirements without any consideration of my history. I am also uncomfortable providing extensive personal documentation, especially given the current global concerns regarding data privacy and misuse. In the unfortunate event that my information is compromised, it is unclear who would be held accountable.
It is equally concerning that such strict requirements appear to disproportionately affect clients from certain regions, particularly Asia. Instead of placing excessive burden on customers, service providers and data centers should ensure they are properly certified and compliant with global standards to build trust and credibility.
With great disappointment, I must state that I cannot recommend worldstream services based on this experience

We’re sorry to hear this situation left you disappointed, especially given your long relationship with Worldstream.

To clarify: before we can activate or provision new services, we are required to complete identity and business verification (KYC/KYB). If this verification is not finalized, we are legally unable to deliver additional services. This applies to all customers, including long-term clients.

As we did not receive the required verification at the time, we were unfortunately unable to proceed with the new server delivery until the process was completed.

Regarding your comment about refund deductions: we have reviewed the case and could not find any communication stating that fees would be withheld. Our policy is clear — when we are unable to deliver a server, the full amount paid is refunded. A full refund was issued for the orders in question.

We understand that sharing documentation can feel uncomfortable, particularly given global concerns about data privacy. However, KYC/KYB verification is a legal requirement for infrastructure providers. Without the necessary documentation, we cannot finalize verification or continue provisioning new services. All submitted information is handled under strict security and data protection standards.

I am almost 10 years old client. With the passage of time contabo grow and reduce the quality of services. Now they have only one aim in their life to loot people account without providing any support. Let me share my personal experience. Today I have received an email from contabo that they have down my server as I have a pending abuse complaint and if I want to activate my server they will deduct 34.50 euros first from account what a blackmailing as they know I have my data on their server so they can blackmail me now. Interesting thing about this complaint is, I have not received it. I responded the email and it is 4 hours passed till my server down and they are not interested to response. Last time I have emailed my issue and they responded after 48 hours. On contacting on live chat they even don't listen my issue and close the chat. Contacting again they have given me this solution to response that email , they can not do anything on chat while asking for any active number they said they do not provide any phone support now which means clients are on their own. What a pathetic behaviour and what a pathetic services. I am waiting for their response from last four hours and I am assure they will resume their office tomorrow morning and it have 11 hours in it. One more thing for the customers who are planing to buy contabo services they have took much in planned downtimes. I am running almost 10+ vps from this company which I am now seriously thinking to move on other companies which at least respect their client, do not deduct money from cards and do not harass clients or blackmail clients. Contabo has Worst support level

I am so sorry to say It is the worst ever experience I have ever faced. I am currently 6-7 VPS running from contabo. But the support level was not that low or pathetic before as it is right now. They are expanding the data. Centres but they are not hiring any staff to entertain the issues customer face. It is 58 hours passed no number is in working condition as machine recorder is own. On email they have responded after 24 hours and I responded the ticket with investigation material and they haven't respond back and it is 30 hours passed. My server is down due to network not reach able. And it require a person available to check which they do not have. Worst ever experience. My business is hurting badly and there is no one available to help in there support.
I will not recommend this to anyone any more.

Cheaters, blackmailers and froud company beaware of them.

They are cheaters and blackmailers. Think twice before ordering any of their services. I have purchased their services and paying 45+$ permonth. Suddenly my client request me to provide me full website backup for securing the data. When i have tried to get my backup first i didn't have any option to download backup. the backup creator only allow to restore the file and then you will download them one by one manually. The most bad thing about their services is they do not allow you to take backup of your emails. As we all know any business depends on emails and they have switch off all those posible options which allow client to download the emails or can restore incase you move from this company. guess what they do not allow this. third thing if you talk to these people on chat they will mislead you. most of the people are so innocent that they even do not know the basics of these things and they loot /robe them. On inssist they said they will provide me full backup if i further pay 29.99$. if i need twice a month these backups then it make my monthly package 45+30+30=105$ are you seriouse.

Please do consider other options then siteground as they are non reliable fraud people.
