Products seem weak compared to competitors
So far the cleaning products seem weak in fragrance- I’ve tested and I’ve not got Covid, yet I seriously can’t smell anything on either the all purpose cleaner or the multi purpose cream cleaner. Brought the big bundle to try everything so hopefully something smells nice soon!!

So so...
Installed a week ago today with a new fibre line in our village which we'd been waiting for for over five months... to say we were excited is an understatement!
Initially, when the engineers installed the line, they did a speed test that showed speeds over 200mbs. Amazing! But then we started to try and load websites on our mobiles, and the speeds are slooowww as. Sometimes timing out, it's that bad. The internet sometimes disconnects altogether for no reason. 3 days in, I called to log a ticket to see what the issue was. Was told I'd get a phone call back the same day. Zero calls. Phoned the next day and was told the same thing. No one calls. Phoned again today (one week on) and was told the issue had been escalated to the 'highest priority' and I WOULD get a phone call in the next 48 hours. So I'll update this review when we hear back (if ever!)
UPDATE! At long last, I finally got a phone call from someone who seemed to know what he was doing.
So far, my understanding is an engineer needs to come at to check out the install/router.
Here's hoping the issue gets fixed!

Review of Bower Collective
A touch bland for me
I love anything eco and/or natural based, and the Bower Collective seemed a great idea, but there were two things that didn’t fit quite right with me.
1. The refills are sold as refilling into plastic bottles which, for an eco business, I’d expect at least for the bottles to be glass or aluminum (?) Maybe just me thinking it’s a bit odd for an eco biz to sell products in plastic..?
2. I couldn’t smell anything in the shampoo, conditioner or shower gel I tried - and no, I didn’t have Covid. The scents to me were bland and therefore didn’t leave me feeling clean or like I’d washed properly. Maybe I had a bad batch, who knows.
Good points:
- Fast delivery
- Seems like they have a wide range of products
- I like that they send out snail mail adverts!

Great products, wobbly service
I find this company genuinely heartbreaking as I can't understand what the issue is. I purchased several, separate orders, well over £100 in total... and received some of the products (by no means all products)
and the ones I got are wonderful! Nice face creams, shampoo bars work great etc but I never receive all items I've ordered, nor do I receive a reply to all the queries I send?? It's a real shame, as the products I have received - I love them! I just don't get what the problem is with the customer fulfilment side of things? :( It makes me sad.

Be careful with it
The scheme in theory is v good but in reality is unfair in my opinion. You send your unwanted books/items and they give you a price for it. I was told I’d receive 39 pounds for about 30 books I sent to them, all of which were brand new condition. For whatever reason I received less than this by quite a margin so I feel that the scheme is not best explained or fair to the consumer. Being told you’ll receive so and so much and then getting less is unacceptable.

This is in response to the reply I've received on my previous review from Shaw Academy. Your response is precisely my issue. You are not listening to me when I declare that I certainly did not "click" any pop up links from you, nor did I "purchase any toolkit". You have stolen my money from me and are now refusing to give it back hence why I am taking this up with both PayPal and my bank. Appalling service despite trying to bribe me with free courses and what not. The number of complaints you receive is proof of how you operate. It would be far easier to give me my money back like I am entitled to have and like I have persistently and politely asked you to do, and then kindly leave me alone. Sophie.

I stupidly signed up for their 4 week…
I stupidly signed up for their 4 week free trial as seen advertised on Facebook. In order to sign up you need to provide bank details or Paypal...Please do not fall for this. Within an hour of signing up I received a bombardment of emails, text messages, phone calls and also got charged 49.99 for something I certainly did not "click to purchase" despite them telling me I did click (which I did not) I reported this as an unauthorized transaction to both my bank and Paypal and am in the process of hopefully getting my money back somehow. Have cancelled my card and may even need to close Paypal account to get rid of them. They keep ringing me, reactivating my 'closed' account and telling me they want to offer a free 1 years subscription but I'm not stupid. All I want is my money back and for them to leave me alone! Whatever you do, never give your bank or Paypal details for any free trial...it's not worth the stress and upset caused.
