Forces you to create an account

I used to use this site as a way to see the hotel options in a given area. Other sites sometimes don't show hotels that have to be booked directly. When trying to access the site from a browser on my mobile recently, I found I couldn't proceed without creating an account. The site makes enough money from advertising hotels, but now it seems they want to make money off the data of anyone using the site. No thanks.

Quality product, good delivery, unnecessary extra parts.

Prompt delivery of the item and it was as ordered. The outside packaging was confusing because the label had the wrong colour on it and I had to contact customer service to check it wasn't a mistake. Was then told the colour on the label on the box is just a warehouse reference, but they would be the right colour. They were but what a waste of time putting a different reference on the outside was! I also don't know why, even when you've ordered made to measure blinds to fit in a recess, they still send the parts of the valance to fit outside of the recess?? It's a waste of plastic.
Otherwise pleased with my purchase. Fitting instruction video was easy to follow. A recommendation on size of screws might be helpful. You should be aware of issues you can encounter in your walls lying under the plaster that might make installation more complicated (but Blinds2go can't be held responsible for this).

Cannot complete checkout with PayPal

Was impressed that this site offers specialist fastenings that you can't get in a high street DIY store. Unfortunately the checkout part of their website needs some work. If you select to pay via PayPal you'll find yourself in an infinite loop of being asked to enter billing details (even though you have already entered them and they are provided via PayPal) and no option to complete checkout. Not necessarily anything dodgy going on, but it was a very frustrating experience with the website.

Great products, TERRIBLE website

To be clear this review is about the online shopping experience and is not a reflection on the quality of the products or any other service.

Earlier this year Uniqlo updated their website. The new website is irritating at best and infuriating at its worst. The new layout makes it difficult to find what you're looking for. It seems at times to filter your results even though you haven't applied any filters (e.g. search for HEATTECH only returned results for bottoms and no tops even though no filters were applied). Pages take forever to load, sometimes timing out and needing to reload (no connection issues on my end as other sites load quickly with no issues). Uniqlo says this is due to high traffic but it happens ALL the time. They've said the new website is designed for mobile use - but it doesn't work for that either. Shopping via the app is also no better, and I hate having to download unnecessary apps.

I'm noticing a trend with a lot of retailers creating websites that look great but with poor functionality for purchasing items. Uniqlo seem to be going down this route. Perhaps it's a sneaky way to drive more people into stores? However in-store shopping isn't an option when your nearest store is over two hours away.

I used to shop via the website frequently. Now I give up because it is too frustrating and I don't have the time to waste waiting for pages to load properly especially when browsing.

This company is super dodgy

This company is super dodgy. There are 14 businesses registered at the same address which on Google maps appears to be a web design company. Companies House shows the business as about to be struck off. I recommend anyone who had issues with returning faulty items to report this to Trading Standards and report fraud.

Solar panel installation

I had solar panels installed over the summer using Wise Green Energy. My experience with the company was excellent from start to finish. The initial consultation was informative and I was provided with all the information in writing to consider before going ahead. Communication from the team and my project manager were excellent throughout.

There were some delays with supplies and then the weather further delayed installation. I was kept up to date throughout all of this and my project manager tried to ensure that dirusption was kept to a minimum.

The teams working on the installation were all friendly and professional. The installation was the easiest work I've had done on my house.

I love the panels, they've been working without issue since installation. Setting up the export to the grid with ny supplier was also super easy. Wise Green provided me with all the paperwork I needed promptly following installation.

I have no hesitation in recommending Wise Green Energy to anyone looking for green energy installations.

Read the mortgage Welcome Pack carefully

Day 1 as an Atom customer and I'm already not impressed.

I refinanced my mortgage with Atom. My new mortgage completed today and when I checked the app I noted that the first repayment wouldn't be taken for nearly two months and it would be approx £900 more than my regular payment. I contacted customer service to query this and I was told ot was standard practice to give a full month's grace before the first payment. Because I pay on 1st of the month and 01/04 was a BH, my mortgage completed on 02/04. So a full month takes me to 02/05, but then I've missed the May payment date so they'll take the payment on 01/06. And the reason for the extra £900 is to cover the extra interest.

But I'd prefer to make a payment in May and avoid the extra interest... Nope, told I'm not allowed to do that (even though the app says I can make overpayments).

It's a cheeky way of making it seem like you're doing your customers a favour, but actually just taking more of my money.

Read the "welcome" pack carefully. I had not appreciated that I would accrue two months of interest before they took a payment.

Review of Valspar Paint

Poorly designed packaging

I can’t comment on the quality of the paint as yet, because I haven’t been able to get the lid off the tub. Whoever designed these tubs should be fired. I feel like I’m likely to spill half the tub just trying to get the lid off.

If you have any kind of illness or injury that affects your hand grip strength, steer clear of buying any of their products that come in a plastic tub.

One star is too generous

This review is from the perspective of trying to send items. None of the scanners at Parcel Shop drop off locations listed on the Evri website ever seem to be working. Go Outdoors tell me theirs has been down for a month. I give up my weekend time driving around trying to find one that works. It's a waste of my time and delays in shipping damage my relationships with customers. Contact details for customer service are also impossible to track down. I'm done, and my advice to others is to avoid them as well. Royal Mail might charge a bit more, but they're reliable, they'll print my labels for me and collect from my door step. In the end, I save time and money by not having to drive around town looking for a scanner that works. Sort yourselves out Evri, and while your at it, have a long hard look at your logo, it's a graphic design disaster.

Excellent service and transparency

Very pleased with the service from Octopus. I'm getting 100% renewable electricity. They provide easy to understand info on my account and my tariff. When my account was in a high amount of credit and I wanted to be paid out I simply sent an email and the money was released. No delays or faffing about!

Excellent experience at Norwich store

Recently submitted a click and collect order. The order was ready very promptly and by checking the live information on Google I was able to see what time would be best to collect when it would not be too busy. The store was following all guidance, it wasn't too busy, everyone making space for each other. I felt so safe that I did some extra shopping while I was there, which I had not planned to do. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
