second chance
Buying holidays from T.U.I is not usually a cheap experience and so one would expect to get what you pay for.
We bought a holiday in Rhodes in 2013, we bought 4star accommodation at Lydia Maris. We chose a superior room but when we arrived we were put into a room down in a trench with a view of the septic tank. The room was badly furnished and smelt like a toilet. The beds were like beds for children. We spent the next day complaining and getting the room we payed for. We were given a diving lesson as compensation! Why should we have to put up with this?
In December 2016 we thought we would give TUI another try and went to the Dominican Republic. The pictures on the screen in the shop looked nice and we bought 2 weeks at Puerto Plata village hotel. Then we saw some bad reviews on google and went back to change our hotel but the shop refused. ( Manafakura Lodz Poland) The shop manager was abrupt and quite rude when we asked to change our hotel and said we could only do it at the resort. When we arrived at the resort we were shown into a room so filthy and stinky and old and every thing was broken even the furniture. We refused to stay in this room and after spending some time in reception we got a standard room with a new floor! We had paid for a superior room. When we met our rep she did not seem to have the same information to what we bought. After meeting the hotel manager we got the room we booked but were 3 days getting the right room. We were told we could go to the Merengue hotel at our extra cost. This was suppose to be our honey moon and was a horrible experience. We have complained to TUI in Warsaw head office and feel compensation of some sort would be in order but have been refused. T.U.I in Poland have been the most unhelpful company and have very bad policies to their customers.
