I think this site has potential

I think this site has potential. It was recommended by a friend of a friend who has won several times already. My only criticism is that the entry list is not searchable. I like to know how many tickets the winner bought and indeed how many I had myself.

Hi Simon,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! I will get the search feature added to entry lists in the next day or two. All the best!

Two months and HOURS on the phone

I bought a house serviced by a Utilita pay as you go meter back in May. On move in day I called and notified them of my ownership. I was directed to an absolutely useless website where I input all my details and provided proof of ownership. I was informed that it would all be sorted in 5 days. In the meantime I topped up the meters with codes they provided. I noticed that a chunk of this was not being credited to the available balance. It turned out that a previous tenant who was now deceased had run up a balance. The housing association that I bought the property from denied all liability. After a month of hearing nothing and Utilita helping themselves to my money, I did the online forms again. Still no reply. I called several times but never got through to an actual person. Just 30 minutes on hold and the calls get dropped or disconnected. Finally after a couple of hours of trying again today I got to talk to a lady who put me on hold for another 30 minutes. I was about to give up again when a man called Quintin(?) in South Africa answered. He was finally able to help me. I had to resend the documents again while he stayed on the line, but he set up an account in my name and removed the dead former tenant’s debt. He also refunded the money that Utilita had been stealing from me over the past couple of months. I personally have never had this much trouble setting up a new residential utility account and think there is something very wrong with their online systems and their phone answering. During the hours that I was on hold I did escalate the problem to the ombudsman because nobody should have to spend this much of their day setting up a simple account. A few weeks ago I tried leaving to go with a different company but Utilita blocked that. I have never had one of these pay as you go accounts before but will see how it goes. Any further hassle or problems and I will definitely be switching to a more reputable company.

UPDATE: sorry I couldn’t take your call at 10am but nobody called between 3 and 3:35

UPDATE #2: no call at 4:15pm either

Maybe your phones aren’t working?

Hi Daniel. I see the call from the Winchester number and have just called it but they don’t know of a Daniel. Please let me know when you are going to call and I will stay by the phone.

Excellent service from Nick in the Marlborough office. Knows his stuff and kept me well informed and everything on track. Helen and Fred were equally knowledgeable and helpful. Provided you keep them adequately supplied with chocolate things run very smoothly!

Endless unwanted texts

I played once. Since then been pestered by endless texts. I have blocked their number. Reported as spam. Logged back in and changed my phone number on account but still they get through. Pests like this should have their licence taken away.

Still no word!

Still no word on who won the Somerset house. It’s now Jan 8th and ticket sales closed on Boxing Day. Absolute scam. I’m amazed they get away with it. This time I bought quite a few tickets and the courtesy of an email telling me who won and a link to a draw that I can watch and an entry list that I can check would seem to me to be the absolute minimum to keep this legal. They certainly send out emails easily enough when they’re trying to sell tickets! Avoid.

Not very open or transparent.

They close ticket sales and then faff around for 5 days deciding who the winner is. I would expect a watchable live draw with a recognised random number generator and the entry list to be searchable. Not all this behind the scenes stuff and waiting for cheapskates to send in a free entry postcard. Doubt I will enter again.

Won £100 of credit 👍

Been playing a couple of weeks, bought a few watch tickets and ticked a box to enter a free credit draw and won £50. Which they doubled to £100. Very happy!

Very happy Abarth winner!

Having played regularly for a couple of years without success, I was about to give up. Finally my number came up the night before a heart operation! Such a great feeling to finally win and exactly the car I would have chosen. They held on to the car for a week until I could drive again and it was delivered by Kris yesterday. The car is as fun as I hoped it would be and is just what I needed at the moment.

Excellent

Excellent! Ordered the item late at night and it was ready to pick up from Waitrose around lunch time. So much less hassle than going to a store.

Lovely store. Poor delivery.

The store and the staff are first rate. I ordered a duvet set that was not in store. What arrived was clearly someone else’s order complete with birthday wishes. This had to be returned and my order resent meaning that the process took over a week. A little thank you gift to make up for their mistake would have been nice. I’ll probably go back to John Lewis next time.

Last chance to put this right tomorrow......

Oh, dear! Ordered a couple of pairs of cheap shoes from Sprts Direct last Monday evening. Total cost only £10. Was surprised delivery was as much as £3.99 but whatever, the shoes were still cheap.. Email follow up from sports direct promising MAX 5 working day delivery. Not exactly swift, but whatever. Then an email from Yodel with tracking number and link to site. All good so far. Then on checking the tracking for progress (as signature was required), I start to see dreaded "problem with address" cropping up and package being returned. Now, my house has a name AND a number however the name is the one found on the usual Internet drop down menu most companies use so I used that. Amazon, eBay, Vodafone, pizza delivery men have all found me. After all there are only two actual houses on the street! The post office finds me every day, unfortunately! So I use Yodel's online chat facility to clarify the situation. All done you would think. Just to be sure, I send an email to Yodel and Sports Direct. After a couple of days waiting, I hear from a nice lady at Yodel social.media. Explain everything again. She says she'll fix it all and I'll get delivery today Wednesday. Wait home until 2 when I need to go out so I call her. Ah, she says, it seems the message hasn't been received by the depot. At 430pm she calls back and says that a man called Pat will call me and its definitely all on for Thursday, 10 full days after ordering! No call yet from postman Pat. We will see..... The sad thing is that I would NEVER order from Sprts Direct again. It's just not worth the hassle. Which is a shame as the shoes look really good value....

IT'S HERE!!

Following another phone conversation with Laura from Yodel Customer Service, delivery was promised today! Sure enough, I waited at home this afternoon and the doorbell went! Very pleasant driver handed over my package. Package had tape on it showing that it had been "repackaged by Yodel" for some reason but the contents appeared intact. Looked across the road to see a van hire vehicle rather than a branded van. Had a quick chat with the driver who said he had come all the way down from Middlesex and was not a regular driver. The shoes are actually too small but there is no way I would want to go through all the hassle of exchanging them. Just glad it is all over before I have to go away tomorrow. Thanks to Laura for her help but there is no way this should have taken 11 days, 5 emails, 5 phone conversations etc etc. The High St has nothing to worry about after an experience like this. My first bad online buying experience and from now on I will buy my shoes from a shop.....
