Wrong item received, took 3 days for a response from customer service in which I was just sent a link to signup for a return service out of the blue and which expired after 15 minutes

I can see that you contacted us on Wednesday morning and we responded Friday morning, which is within our 2-3 working day response time during busy periods. However, we completely understand that any delay when we have made a mistake is frustrating and we sincerely apologise for this, as well as the inconvenience for the return link which expired after 15 minutes.
We replied to your latest email first thing this morning and will ensure the correct item is shipped today, with delivery expected tomorrow
