Poor durability and non-existent customer service

I am disappointed with both the quality of my Pelgrim appliance and the lack of support from their customer service team.

I have a Pelgrim MAC696MAT combi-microwave that is only 5,5 years old (manufactured in June 2019). Recently, the convection (hetelucht) function started failing, burning the top of every dish while leaving the inside raw. For a brand that claims quality, having a core component fail in just 5 years is unacceptable.

According to Dutch consumer guidelines, the expected economic lifespan (economische levensduur) of a built-in oven is 10 to 12 years. Despite reaching out via email to request a fair coulance arrangement (as the appliance is barely halfway through its life), I have received no meaningful response. First I had to get through the AI answer after that, I got no replies back.

Instead of helping a customer who is clearly facing a premature technical defect, I was met with a generic automated reply and a quote of €149 just for a technician to show up—excluding parts and labor. This is not the level of service one expects.

It seems their products don't last, and their customer service doesn't care once the initial 2-year warranty is over. I am still waiting for a reasonable proposal to fix this issue.
