This Zmodo company is one of the worst…

This Zmodo company is one of the worst when it comes to customer support. Called them today to complain about a firmware update they pushed through their app on my phone which resulted in damaging my both cams. After 70 minutes on the phone they finally answered but they did not even say sorry or offer any replacement even though they admitted their faulty firmware. A complete failure of customer support and very very unprofessional. This company should be ashamed of themselves and be kicked out of here. They deserve less than a zero star when possible. Be aware of this company folks.

You can still use those pieces of crap

Hey everyone that has zemoto cameras found a trick they suck so bad right but you already have them so this is what you do you turn the the infrared off on your new camera so bugs don't get close to it and plug those Z moto cameras up and they will automatically turn on night vision at night and you can use those and settle amongst your property to eliminate your whole yard and your camera that sitting back can see everything.

Don't even get me started on customer service it aint even worthy to give a review.
But I'll tell you this I couldn't get access to my email and I was wanting to do a new subscription for the new email and I could not get them to unbind my own fu*#*#* cameras. I'm big for a month because they said they would have to wait 30 days 30 days later no response. I even sent my emailSaying Hey I have money do you all not want me to pay for a subscription do yall just do everything for free or what, do you all not like money, no reply.

Broken piece of garbage

Used a security camera from this company when we would leave for vacations. Maybe by the 5th use the camera charging port broke within the unit. Contacted Zmodo to replace, they said I was past the warranty and refused to replace it. Said I could buy a new one. No thanks, was like one month past warranty. Nice timing, dont think its a coincidence.

Will never buy from Zmodo again.

I purchased my cameras 14 months ago

I purchased my cameras 14 months ago, unable to connect all 4 even with highest internet speed, we settled with 3 running. Constantly having to put them back on line, which is super annoying. Now 14 months later one camera is not working at all. You get what you pay for! Also during purchase it never states you have to pay for a recording service which is 5 bucks a month each camera. I would not recommend this device.

Worst camera and scanners set up

Worst camera and scanner set up. There are much more up to date and easier to install cameras. Zmodo still uses QR code which never works. Spend your money on Nest, Eufy or Arlo cameras.

3 out of 8 are working after 5 years

3 out of 8 are working after 5 years. Now I can’t do playback on my phone… subscribe. 48 hours free playback was worth hanging on for as long as I did for these. No customer service. Scam product. They shouldn’t be allowed to operate in the United States.

I purchased 4 outdoor cameras and one…

I purchased 4 outdoor cameras and one by one the power cords broke in half. So now I’m looking for a model that is more durable. But before the broke they would always go offline and I would have to unplug and replug them multiple times through the week and would have to check all before I left for work. I do this because when I first connected this happened and someone stole my lawnmower out my backyard and I had no footage to see who so I didn’t call police. (What’s the purpose)

Aweful products - HORRIBLE customer service

I had a Zmoto doorbell that notified me about an hour after someone rang. Fine - I got over it. It was a deterant. I decided to get the annual subscription so that I could at least go back and review footage if I had a problem which I paid for. I had to reset the device with a paperclip and it burst some sort of gas that is apparently needed to function. They no longer sell doorbells. I asked for a refund (paid for two hours ago on the app) and they said that app (cloud) purchases are not refundable and refused. This was on a chat and then they just stopped answering me. Aweful products - HORRIBLE customer service.

Beware there no good…

Don’t buy these crappy cameras I have someone trying to frame me and you think z Modo would be able to get the footage of the guy doing the crime but they can’t even get footage of it what good are these cameras if your tha manufacture and you csnt even get footage of your stuff you make these cameras suck I had 7 of them unplugged 4 of them to move them and when I plugged them back in they never would power back on

Don't do it!!!

Don't do it!!!! I purchases two cameras from this company. When I attempted to set up the telephone app it I never received a verification code that would allow me to login. When I called customer service they could not tell me what the problem was. When I told them I wanted to return tge items they claimed that they sent me email instructions but did not. They took my money but provided no aid is setting up the system or allowing me to return it. This company is a scam. Don't do it!!!!

Poor product/customer service.

While their cameras may be affordable they don't record Everytime there is motion so you only get random recordings & good luck with their customer service, 90% of the time they don't respond when l contact them for help. I would not recommend purchasing their products, you're better off spending a little more money for a camera that's going to record Everytime there is motion

Cameras are unreliable

Cameras are unreliable. You never know when they go offline and trying to get them reconnected is an ordeal. If you hard wire the power to them in a high place you will likely find yourself climbing ladders on a regular basis to get to them for troubleshooting. I hate this system! Had some property stolen from my yard and of course the security camera caught nothing because it went offline intermittently.

Don't buy from them.

Had this system for a few years now. Viewing software was just barely OK. Playback from NVR was terrible. NVR recently got hot and stopped working. Zmodo was no help. They said they no longer have my product and to look on Ebay or Amazon. Also my buddy across the street has the same system and it never worked right from day one.

Cameras WERE good when 1st purchased but app is BAD. ZMOTO IS GREEDY, CHARGES & costs
ARE ABSURD NOT WHAT WE BARGAINED FOR WHEN ORIGINALLY PURCHASED. CAMS GO OFF LINE, difficult TO CONNECT AGAIN AND OPERATION CHANGES / WORSE AND WORSE USER. Some attorney should file a class action against this company for fraud or product failure. So disappointed, 15 inside//outside cameras down the drain. Is my own opinion only.

The camera goes offline frequently

The camera goes offline frequently. I could deal with that since I have another security camera but finally after it being off line I decided to do another set up to get it working. After several attempts I call customer service and still the product would not work. After checking their records, the determined that I did purchase it directly from Zmodo, exactly 3 days prior to one year. They would not honor the warranty replacement even though they could see that I “installed” it within days of receiving it.
It seems unreasonable that I am not being compensated for those three days which were obviously shipping days.
This product did not work optimally and I would not recommend this product.
