Scammed as well - Raised a dispute with my bank for a chargeback
Scammed as well. I was charged the full amount of 384 EUR for an annual "renewal" subscription, both WITHOUT any prior notification AND before the original subscription balance ended! Illegal and scamming tactics, now I have to process the dispute via my bank to get my money back. Horrible and shameful experience and as long as those tactics remain in action by ZIPDJ (I see other users with similar experiences), I will never recommend this service to anybody.
Update: Having read the reply from ZipDJ, I would like to clarify things further:
1) I am still charged and no signs of any refund yet.
2) My access to the ZipDJ portal is terminated. Well done and thank you for that, as it makes my point and my claim stronger.
3) My review is genuine and not associated with any other reviews as ZipDJ imply. There are strong evidence which including bank records and screenshot of previous active and canceled subscriptions which I can provide in case I am not fully refunded and decide to pursue things further.
4) Instead of ZIPDJ having the cheek as a business to use such a wording that implies that user reviews may not be genuine, or to use misleading tactics and point the issue to the user, they should instead learn from their mistakes, improve and send a renewal reminder at least a week before payment is taken, especially taking into account that they charged an annual subscription with a higher amount than the previous one without any further notice either, not to mention that this happened earlier than the actual expiration of the first annual subscription! In other words, ZipDJ continues deliberately with the same tactics, yet the matter is unresolved and with the bank and I do not intend to let this pass unresolved.
Many thanks to TrustPilot for giving me the opportunity to reflect things as they are and exactly as I experienced and I will be really grateful if I am provided with the chance to update my review with the actions taken to receive the full refund that I am legally entitled to. Hopefully this is resolved by ZipDJ in fairness and if it is, I will be happy to update my review stating this as well. Let's see.
Update: a few days after posting the review, I received my money back as the dispute case raised was decided on my favor.
Recommendation for the future: Please treat your customers nicely and inform them about any price changes or upcoming subscription fees well in advance.
