School Vaping
When I first became principal of our high school, student vaping was a significant problem. Like many schools, we knew it was happening, particularly in areas that were difficult to consistently supervise, but catching students in the act and effectively addressing the problem was challenging.
We installed Zeptive Vape Detectors as one part of our effort to reduce vaping in our school, and the results have been tremendous. The detectors gave our administrative team the ability to respond quickly when vaping was detected and, just as importantly, helped create a deterrent. Students learned very quickly that vaping in our building was much more likely to be detected.
I don't believe any single product or strategy will completely eliminate student vaping. It takes consistent expectations, staff involvement, education, consequences, and conversations with students and families. However, Zeptive has become an important part of that overall approach for us.
Since installing the detectors, we have seen a substantial reduction in vaping in our school. The difference between where we started and where we are today is significant.
For school administrators dealing with a vaping problem, I would absolutely recommend considering Zeptive. It has given us another effective tool to help protect our school environment and hold students accountable while allowing us to be much more proactive in addressing vaping.
